Looked at these for a long time...
December 30, 2011
Havent gotten to test them really but so far I am pleased with my purchase. They are a little smaller than I expected (or hoped) by they are sufficient. The side shields have some ugly neon green accents but as long as they are on my face, I wont have to see that :P Also, Im not sure what the loop above the nosebridge is for, but I wish they had left it off, I dont like it there...maybe it has a yet-to-be-seen purpose though. I really like the bendable arms, easy to get a perfect fit. And after years of scratched up Oakleys...they scratch-resistant lenses are a nice change. At this point, I would gladly endorse these glasses.
Pros: Great design, Cons: CostDo the job ... well!

My light sensitive eyes love these glasses on the mountain. I use them for climbing and have had no issues with fogging. I have a particularly narrow face but it is easy to adjust them for any size. I feel they provide excellent protection. The photo chromatic lenses adjust well, but I prefer no glasses in dense forest and found these a bit cumbersome to raise and lower because of the ear grips - they are of course designed for the mountains not the trees.
Pros: PerformanceExpected a little better quality

All in all...they do their job. They're very large and block out most if not all sunlight completely. The lenses are a perfect tint...however they do fog quite easily. The rubber ear bands are super adjustable, but when I tighten the strap (which works well), the entire rubber side piece pulls off. I'll be in contact with altrec and or julbo about this, otherwise though they're a good pair of glacier glasses.
Preliminary Raves

These glasses did the job really well on a sunny day of skinning and skiing, but Vermont is low altitude and may not be the toughest test on the ultra-bright end. On the other hand, it's a real tough test of Sun-into-shade-into-sun-into-shade-into-sun thing, and they worked really well. Even more impressively, I sweat a lot, but they didn't fog (!!) The coating is brand new and unblemished, so I suppose that also isn't the real test, but I was just blown away. I fog everything. (More later if that changes as the glasses age.) I could do without the neon green on the sides, but who cares, really. They are pricier than other glasses I've tried, but if they continue to work this well, they're worth every penny.
