K2 obSETHed Ski:
It's not a name change or a redesign of an old twin-tip ski. The K2 obSETHed is the real deal, a completely new twin-tip, big mountain/freeride/powder platform for heli-skiers and backcountry adrenaline junkies, especially those who like to make use of natural terrain challenges instead of spending sweaty hours rounding out artificial berms with collapsible snow shovels. If you're into names and you're trying to compare the former Seth ski with the new obSETHed, this one has a much wider waist for enhanced floatation in soft snow, but there's also a shorter rocker (15/20) so you enjoy more performance versatility on hardpack and broken crud. Rugged vertical ABS sidewalls endure plenty of abuse from botched landings and those unseen rocky obstructions. About the only thing that carried over from the Seth ski was K2's Progressive Sidecut technology--a cut that's deeper in the tip but less in the tail--but this is an entirely different ride that's ideal for guys who prefer the back bowls but also know that they'll need to rip some hardpack or groomed corduroy to get there.
- Carefully crafted for advanced and expert skiers who make the backcountry their terrain park
- K2's suggested target performance is 80% untracked/20% groomed
- Dimensions (tip/waist/tail): 138/105/125 mm.
- 14/12-mm. progressive sidecut with standard taper
- Twin tip design with vertical ABS sidewall and horizontal die-cut construction
- Lightweight and durable wood core and triaxial braiding
