beautiful boots but very small fit
When I got these Ellie Rain Boots for a gift I was impressed by their look - they're beautiful! When I tried them on, however, they were so small that I could not get my foot down into the boots and I had to return them. I am eagerly looking forward to the replacement pair - I still love them! - but would recommend that a size larger than normal be ordered when purchasing these boots without trying them on.

Cute Rain Boots
I got these for Christmas and so far I love them. The only reason I didn't give them five stars is because they fit but are a little tight on the top of my foot...I have a high arch. I think it may get uncomfortable after wearing them all day.

Not for the Thick Calfs
I loved when my boots were finally shipped to me! However, when trying to put a size 8 on my size eight feet... it didn't fit well. The quality was fantastic and the boots look as though they will last on the other hand. My calves are fairly large compared to most and I am only able to wear the boots with leggings, which makes it fairly inconvenient. I would recommend buying a larger size and I plan on sending in the pair I ordered for a larger size for this reason

Because I really want to wear my new boots some more. I took other peoples advice and ordered the 8 (I normally wear a 7.5) and I was glad that I did. They fit perfectly. My advice would be to round up to the nearest whole size and not down. Very comfortable and warm, very well made product, I love them and the price was an amazing value!

Great boots - can't wait to try them in the rain!
OK, I may be premature in my review, since I haven't had a chance to use them in the rain. But so far so good! They're cute boots, and I'm happy with how they look. They don't have half sizes. I'm a 6 1/2, and I ordered a 6. It's a bit snug, but I think it will work. Love the quick delivery...now if only the rain had continued, I would have been able to try them out!

Great rain boots definatly recomend. Has a lining for warmth and comfort. Fits true to size. I am an 8 and 8 fits great with a sock. Skinny jeans fit great, my caff is 13".

Best fitting rainboots
Kamik makes the best fitting rainboots - ever. These are GREAT for son's FOOTBALL and SOCCER! I have found that even the pricey UK brank does not fit well, as I do not like my boots to flop around at all. This is my 3rd pair. I am between 7 and 7 1/2, I ordered the 7. Deliciously snug fit, I am 5'6" 120lbs with fit, muscley calves. I have a long, fast stride and these really keep up with my me, my heel does not slip out at all. I have room for socks, but not a super thick boot sock. Cute with skirts, leggings, skinny jeans. Don't forget the ruffle scarf and cute hat!

Almost perfect
My red Kamiks came in today and I absolutely love them! They feel very sturdy! I love the strong the friction on the bottom of the shoes are. Im 5'0 and they come up to just the right spot on my calves. I was glad I read the reviews and got the size 6. It is a very small fit so I recommend getting half to a whole size up. If you have wide feet, I do not recommend this product. They are not heavy and that is what i love most about them. I can't wait for the rain later today!

I love these boots! They are true to size and made well. Great for slushy snow besides the rain. The Ellie are stylish with a little shape so I feel good going out and about besides knowing they are durable.
I can wear them barefooted and with wool socks.

Great even in a foot of rushing water!
Before I purchased these boots, I would never have believed that I would look forward to torrential downpours. Now, I say to the weather gods, "Bring it on!" Puddle jumping no longer involves a period of regret afterwards.
I wear these boots anytime rain is in the forecast and after two years of use, they've yet to let me down! Even when I had to cross a road in the middle of a flash flood with running water that was over a foot deep, my feet stayed completely dry. A hurricane, Nor'easter, or a Midwestern flash flood? None have posed too great a challenge for my Ellie boots!
And the best part? They're made nearby in Canada!

Great rain boots! Really comfortable and fit true to size. Also keep my feet nice and toasty on those cold and rainy winter mornings. They're the best rain boots I have purchased!

Bummed
I really wanted these rain boots for a long time, but when I finally purchased them they did not fit. They were way to small. I had to return them, which was no problem, but now I don't know what to choose. The quality was nice and they looked really durable.

Good Quality
Welll made boots - made in Canada! Beautiful chocolate (dark chocolate) color. Only complaint is that the length is shorter than expected. But it snugs well - does not feel like wearing fire fighter's boots. Cute design - perfect to tuck in jeans. Highly recommend if one is looking for casual rain boots to wear with slim jeans or pants.

Cute boots
These rain boots are cute. As with previous reviews, these boots are definitely for people with narrow and smaller calves. They do fit me, but fit exactly with little room. It is a taller boot, so if you are looking for a shorter one, the Kamik Heidi is a shorter boot, but pretty much same style (maybe a little looser on the calf). I also have the Kamik Heidi boot and love it, too.

Like Them A Lot!
As others have commented, the boot shaft is narrow and the fit feels small. But I benefited from reading earlier reviews, and ordered a 9.5 instead of a 9. They fit great, and though snug around my calf, are not too tight. Love the purple!

Best value!
I love the sheen on the black boots! Fits well on my calf (If you have big calves it will be a problem). Its just fits small on my feet, I wish I ordered size up! Overall, the design and fit is fine.

Runs small
The boot is made of great quality, the design and the performance is
great. The Polartec layer provides great insulation.
The only and big con I found is that it runs really small on the calves. I had to return them because of this, so if you are going to order them, ask for a an entire number larger.

Nice boots
I wear AA shoes when I can find them. These fit my narrow feet well. My heels don't lift up too much. I wish they were a shorter boot as I'm only 5'2" tall. When I walk, the height of the boot rubs against my knees a bit. Great style.

Way too tight in Calf
My friend has these and I love them. However they are way too tight on the calf, they were about 14 inches on the size 8. Which won't work for circulation :) or putting pants into. I really like how they do have a more taylored fit and treads on the bottom. If you have skinnier calfs, these are for you. I am 5foot 3 and 135 with athletic calfs. :( Had to return them.

Kamik Ellie Rainboot
LOVE these rainboots! After seeing these rain-boots all over Montreal, I ordered the red boots through Altrec and am very happy. They keep my feet dry and warm and provide adequate arch support on rainy days. My only hesitation - they run a bit small - they're a little snug over my athletic calves - I'm glad I ordered 1/2 size larger. Great boots, I'm ordering another pair!!

Makes Rainy Winters Dangerously Fun
I've been looking for an inexpensive pair of quality rainboots for the past two years. Thank God for Altrec! Not only are these bad boys waterproof almost all the way up to the top, but they also hug your leg so rain doesn't fall IN and soak your socks. The fleece lining sold these boots for me because I have poor circulation and my feet get super cold. These boots are comfy, warm, waterproof and VERY cute! The black is great,and now I want them in red ;)
FYI DO size up. I wear 7.5 to 8 depending on the shoe and needed a 9 in these guys (the 8's were bruising my calves). For reference, I have a 14.5" calf.

Fantastic rain boot for a narrow foot
I can't believe that I finally found a boot that fits and doesn't slop at the heel. Length seems true to size. Boot runs narrow which is perfect for my narrow, low volume foot. Calves are also narrow which suits me. Easy to pull on and off, an insole to insulate and cushion will make this the perfect mud boot. Excellent tread for quick trips to the woodpile in the snow.

Fantastic!
I LOVE this rainboot. I have the beautiful, chocolate, brown and they look great with everything! I've been stopped in the middle of the street and been asked about them! As a plus they are very slip resistant- I've worn them in snow (with nice thick socks) and they're great. IMPORTANT: If you have thicker calves, you def need to go a size up.

Perfect, but beware of small calf opening
I purchased these boots in black about 10 months ago. This is probably the classiest-looking rain boot you're going to find, at no compromise to their durability. The shape looks great, the bottom has lots of traction, and I love the warmth provided by the thin fleece lining. My only warning is that you should BEWARE IF YOU DO NOT HAVE SKINNY CALVES. I normally wear a 6.5 in dress shoes and a 7 in boots, but purchased a size 8 in the Ellie, and measured the calf opening to be 13.5 inches around the inside of the boot. This measurement was taken 13 inches up from the inside bottom of the boot, so consider comparing this to your own measurements first, especially if you plan to wear your pants inside of the boot. I am 5'1" and 120 lbs with an athletic build, and these boots barely allow enough room to wear my jeans tucked in. I would assume that different sizes would have a slightly different calf measurements, though probably not incredibly different. On the upside, if you buy a size up in order to fit your calves, you will have extra room for a thicker sock :) Enjoy!

So Cute!
Beautiful red color. Really ellegant for a rain boot. I wear a 9.5 or 10 and I got the size 10. I'm returning it for a size larger since the fit is so snug. I want to be able to wear warm socks and be able to slip them on and off at the door.

Great Value
After reviewing numerous reviews and websites on rain boots, I chose the Kamik Ellie Rain Boot. I loved the Polartec lining and the support the boots provided for my feet. Second big rainstorm in New York and the boots were excellent for comfort and water repellent. I plan to buy a pair for my daughter.

nice boots
very nice fit and the color is great, dark red like blood. A little tight on the calf but looks nice this way. Nice black rubber sole and the inside of the shoes is lined and warm.

Pretty and Comfortable Rain Boots
The boots has a very pretty shine and is very comfortable. Bought for my daughter and was hoping that she could wear them with her jeans/pants inside the boots. You'll have to have very skinny legs to do that. Tights would probably be okay. Had to return them because of that. Wish these comes with wider 'legs'.

They run a bit small for the feet, and are narrow at the legs. Its nice since this keep rain from dropping inside, but i go a size up if you're not sure. Extremely comfortable!

Great boots!
I got my rain boots right before the "big rain". I LOVE them as they fit comfortably and are easy to slip on and off. I am normally and 8 but went for the 9 as they are snug around the ankle.

Great Rain Boot, Getting Lots of Attention
I got my rain boots the day before our last big rain, so when I wore them during the storm, everyone was talking - I need rain boots, those are cute rain boots. Cute and comfortable - I said. Kamiks I said. (Only I have a little trouble driving in them.) They fit great, they look great, and Kamik has a recycling program once I can no longer use them.

Great rainboots from Kamik
I did some research on a lightweight rain boot that would not leak. These are impressive and worth the extra money for their quality as compared to some 'girlie' rain boots found online and in nearby mega-stores. They look great and are comfortable! I wore them today and received two compliments. These are definitely for the consciously stylish woman.

Good quality - tight fit
Beautiful boots! Good quality materials. I ordered my regular size and the shoe fit perfectly, but just as others commented, the shaft was a tight fit on calves. If you want to be able to tuck in jeans, you'll have to have very thin legs. I looked at the reported circumference on the details on a site and it looks like all the taller Kamik boots are made the same.

Too small!
I concur with the previous reviews. The shoes ran a bit too small. I normally wear 6.5 or 7 and I thought 7 would be just enough however I was wrong. I can barely pull my legs out. The purpose of purchasing a pair of rain boots was to tuck my pants/jeans in.

Perfect rain boot!
These boots fit well and are very comfortable. Feet stay perfectly dry and warm no matter how wet or muddy it is. Great for walking dogs at the dog park since they are easy to rinse off with a hose.

Nice Rain Boots
Definitely order 1/2 size up. I generally wear a 7.5 and the 8 was perfect. The fit around the calf is wide enough to accommodate skinny jeans or leggings without gaping. I would not recommend them if you have big calves.

Comfy rain boots
They are comfortable. I like the fact that they are not bulky like other rain boots. The only down fall is that I find it very difficult to take my foot out of each boot.

Love the color and style
Ordered an 8, normally wear a 71/2, they fit pretty well. A tad snug on the calves, but fit great around my ankles. Ordered the brown boots, color is fabulous. Just wore them in the house, pretty comfortable. Let it rain!

Great boots -- right features and nice asthetic look.
Based on the above reviews I was concerned about the sizing and fit, but when I got them I was delighted. The size and fit are right on for me. The shape of the toe makes the boots very comfortable. The polartec lining feels very warm and the traction on the bottom is excellent. I got the charcoal, with the flower designs, and it's much nicer in person (vs. the photo here). I'm happy with these boots.

Nice looking boot--bad fit
I loved this boot when I saw it, but they don't have half sizes, which was the first issue I had. I bought a size 9 for my daughter who wears size 9&1/2, but even after re-ordering a size 10 we discovered the fit was just not right for her. The leg was still too narrow, and the 10 foot was too sloppy big. This boot is just not a one size fits all. I suggest they show a leg opening size with their measurements.

These boots are lightweight, warm, slick looking and extremely cushy and comfortable. Like with everyone else, go a size up. No problems getting the feet and pant legs into the boots, and has served good so far walking around in snow!

Boot review
I like the boot I received. Amazon.com reviewers recommended purchasing a size larger. This was bad advice for me. I needed my true size and had to return my original purchase. This boot is the most comfortable boot I have been able to find but I have not had a chance to wear it very much. I have a narrow foot and the heel of the boot feels a little large and will need padding or extra socks. However, that would probably be true for any boot. I like that the boot fits snugly all the way up my leg. I am considering purchasing another one for a gift or just to have a fun different color.

Great boot
Great color; very well well made. The only drawback is that it is a bit tight. You could never wear pants inside these boots. Great for skirts. True to size.

Very Sleek
Very nice to find a rain boot where the foot bed offers some support, good traction as well. The only con is that the boot is not really loose enough for me to put my pants on the inside of the leg.

Kamik Ellie Rain Boot
I purchased Ellie Rain Boot a month ago but I had to return it because it was to big! However,I'm going to purchase another one of the same style because they are very pretty!!!!!!!!!!!!!!The style of the boot is amazing and it's very well done! I can't wait to get my new one!!!! Great Rain Boots for Skinny Legs
I have skinny legs and this is the first pair of rain boots that fit my legs well and don't let rain fall into them. Usually boots are so big on me that it rains into the boots. They are very comfortable and stylish as well.
