Great shoe
Contrary to what Keen says about this shoe for me it has taken several months to get that broken in feeling but once you get there the Briggs II are extremely comfortable. They have been my everyday working shoes for several months and I have had no problems with durability or comfort.
The leather on the shoe feels thicker than my old Austin’s and the arch support is fantastic. I have used these in shoes in all types of weather to include snow and rain and have never gotten wet or lost traction.
The Briggs II so far are the second most comfortable shoe I have owned next to my Targhee II, they are a extremely durable all weather daily use shoes with extreme comfort after they are broken in. Highly recommended!

Great sturdy shoes
I've always been a fan of Keens since I have small but wide feet. The large toebox is perfect for me, and I don't have to compromise by buying shoes that are a bit too long as I sometimes did in the past.
I work in an office, and the Briggs II are dressy enough to pass muster, but casual enough to wear pretty much anywhere else. I also walk a lot for my day-to-day activities (I don't have a car), and these shoes take the pounding from my constant walking much better than my previous semi-casual shoes.
The construction is nice and sturdy; good leather uppers and solid stitching. I've had these shoes for nine months, and I can find only a single displaced thread. The soles are solid but also pretty grippy on wet surfaces; they don't wear nearly as fast as my previous shoes, which is usually my biggest complaint. They're also pretty waterproof, and I've never had any leaky seams while walking in the rain.
I have fairly high arches, and the molded insole fit them perfectly. I also like than I can remove the insole for when I need to put on a thick wool sock in cold weather.
My one issue with the shoe is that it takes some time to break in. While that's normal for a shoe that's built more like a hiking boot, the tongue area could at times be painfully stiff until it softened up with use. While my Briggs are now perfectly broken in and my favorite ever daily-use shoes, I still cringe when thinking about the discomfort I experienced while breaking them in. It's worth it in the end, but be aware that you might not want to spend all day in them right off the bat.
All in all, a great shoe. I'd buy the Briggs II again when my current pair wears out, but take a little more time to break them in before putting them into regular service.

Keen Briggs II "Great Walking Shoe'
I purchased these shoes for vacation. I wore them around town before vacation, and I have to tell you they were absolutely the most comfortable. We did a lot of walking on vacation, and I was amazed that my toe never bothered me once. I highly recommend these shoes for all day walking. They wear very well. I feel it was a good investment, and good value.

Fits great!
I purchased this as a gift for someone who has flat feet. He is able to fit his orthotics into these shoes and they are super comfortable for him! He said he has never been able to find a confortable pair or "dress" shoes like these! Plus Altrec.com matched my price and made it easy to shop with them!! Thank you!!

Comfortable walking shoes
I've owned these shoes for five weeks. I walk 4 miles every day to/from work. These are very comfortable shoes and they look good with dress pants. They are not the most professional looking shoes so if you wear a suit to work you will need a different style. For us laid back westerners, they work well. The leather is holding up well, a few dark scuff marks on the top of the shoe at bend points. I also see some wear on the soles. I'm not sure if the sole is made from too soft of a rubber material or if it from the way I walk. I have walked 120 miles in these shoes so some wear is expected. The fit is right on the size and the break in period was minimal. The only complaints are the shoes are a little slippery on wet sidewalks and the soles are starting to wear down. I would definitely recommend these shoes.

Fits like a glove
After owning 10+ pairs of Keens it still makes me wonder why I purchase any other brand of shoes for my needs. I bought these for casual wear and just cant take them off when I get home due to their comfort. I would recommend Keens to anyone who wants a shoe that will perform and a company that stands by them. Two of the most important things you can ask for in a shoe. My son (7) is now a believer in Keens also.

Love these shoes!
My husband does not like buying his shoes online but I assured him he can expect the same quality and fit from buying them from Altrec. I was right. I ordered these shoes a few days ago and we got them yesterday despite our crazy New England weather. The color was consistent with what you see online. These shoes fit my husband perfectly...he swears by the comfort, durabililty, and quality of these shoes. He works in a very busy ER south of Boston and is on his feet his entire shift and then some. They are true to size but keep in mind you do have to break them in a little.

Heard complaints about color of slate black shoe leather (greenish). I purchased slate black, and while not remotely black, they are consistently a light brown. They are not two tone as other slate black versions I have seen in stores have been. I am very happy with the color, and the image from Alltec's web site is exactly what the shoes look like. There may be a newer version of slate black that is monotone and not greenish.
Took a high content water proofing spray (15% silicon) without any change in color or texture. Very Impressive!
Size is great. I have worn 11 in previous Keen shoes. Purchased 11.5 and seems perfect. Hard to say of this model runs small.
We will see how durability is. Have only had 3 weeks.

Keen Briggs II
Good walking shoes, I use almost every day, made with quality leather.They are very comfortable and my feet don't get tired. Im making a move to replace most of my dress shoes with Keen, as well as my hiking shoes.

Great Shoe
After a year of listening to my father-in-law rave about his Keens, I shopped a few styles and ended up with these. I have plantar fasciitis in one of my heels and the support from these shoes instantly made it feel better. I am in the construction business and on my feet a good bit. These shoes appear to be a great fit.

Exactly what I was looking for
Looks great and does the job in nasty New England weather. I wear these to work and when I'm out bumping around on the weekends. I'm thinking about buying another pair to put on reserve.

Briggs II - Warm!
Excellent shoe. A little stiff at first but breaks in nicely. The most remarkable thing is how warm they are. That combined with great grip means I can wear them in the Chicago winter without any worries!

Buy a pair, then another
These shoes are very confortable and have great support. I liked my first pair so much I bought a second pair just for a different color. The Black Full Grain has a nice textured leather. The Slate Black is a smooth leather and has a slight two-tone appearance.

Practical and Stylish
I bought these shoes to wear black without having to wear uncomfortable shoes. They work perfectly. I still get to wear Keens when I work. A little stiff at first, but they are breaking in fast.

Good Shoes
These shoes were ordered for my father! He absolutely loved them and wore them EVERYDAY to work (he's a business owner of a greehouse) -- they fell apart within a month. I called Altrec and they gave him a new pair. We since have informed him that these are not hard working shoes, but shoes to wear for vacations, shopping, etc.

First pair of Keens...will buy more
I have used the shoes for about two weeks now and so far am very pleased. They are true to size and it only took one day or so to break them in. They are extremely comfortable. I like the fact that they are a bit wider than most other shoes. The rubber extending over the toe should keep them looking good and protects against scuffs. They look well made although time of course will tell how well they'll hold up. Looks are...well Keen...you either like them or you don't. I like rugged shoes and these fit the bill well. If these hold up I will definitely get more Keens in the future.

Keen Briggs II
Excellent shoe for the money. Shoe is very comfortable. I own several pairs of Keens and I love the extra arch support you get.
My favorite part of these shoes is the ruggedness and the olive color. The break in period was very short and the footbed is soft and form fitting.

Keen Briggs II Shoe
Another great pair of Keens. I buy Keens because I love their comfort and support they offer my feet. I do think Keens run a little small so I always buy a ½ size bigger than other brands.

The Men's Briggs II is a remarkably comfortable shoe. There was no break-in period. It is as comfortable the first days as it is the tenth day. I am extremely pleased with the product and would highly recommend the product.

Great Shoe!
Love this shoe, use them for work. This is my 3rd pair. I think they are nicer looking than the Briggs I, I've had both. Very comfortable with no break-in period required in my experience.

Best shoe I've ever worn
This is a great shoe for walking, standing, and just being comfortable. Provides excellent support and yet is light enough to wear all day.

Disappointing
I'm a big fan of Keens. I have 5 pairs including to pairs of the original Briggs model. Unfortunately, Briggs II doesn't maintain the same quality as the prior generation. Briggs II is clunky and bulbous. And the green puke color of the leather in the model that Keen calls "slate" looks nothing like the color in the photo. I sent them back. Altrec customer service was excellent. I will buy again from Altrec.

Excellent quality. Superior comfort!
The shoe fits true to size. I typically wear a 12 and this shoe fit perfectly. The insole molds to your foot and provides an entire day of comfort when you work on your feet.

Comfort and Style!
My husband has loved these shoes since his first steps in them! They have great support, can be worn all day and into the night. They're great for work and play, while having a fashionable sporty casual look with khakis and jeans. He's a Keen convert even though I've been telling him how great they are for years!

EXCELLENT!!!
REAL COMFORT! These shoes are wonderful. Average cut in the heel, a little wider up front which is desirable for us with wide feet and actually more natural for your feet. I love mine, can wear them all day on my feet. Also excellent for urban hiking or even on the trail. I suggest you give them a go!

Favorite pair!
I've been searching for a pair of shoes that I could wear in the office, as well as in the field for work (landscape architect) and just to relax. These Briggs just give me the right amount of comfort and quality needed in a shoe to cover all of my needs. I was already a Keen fanatic before (Newport sandals & Newport Trail WP), and am really happy to have these Briggs join the fam. Simply awesome!

Awesome shoes
All-round great shoes. Excellent workmanship, excellent sole provides support for all-day wearing, fits wide feet, and not bad-looking either. I haven't found any other brand to match Keens.

Very Comfortable
I've had these shoes for about a week so far. They are the most comfortable shoes out of the box that I've ever had. I have wide feet and these shoes fit perfectly. The quality is also very apparent as soon as you see them and pick them up. Very nice shoe.

Solid shoe

disappointing
I love Keens, but this shoe is not up to their usual standard. The insole is very "flimsy". It squashes very flat when you are standing in the shoe--this makes it feel like there is no insole at all. The tongue on the shoe is too long for me. It is stiff and dug deeply into the front of my ankle--where your foot meets your shin. I had to return them.
