Sculpted with street-smart styling and sophistication, the rugged Keen Men's Briggs shoe features a waterproof leather upper that keeps your feet singing in the rain during damp commutes and casual jaunts through the park. The non-marking carbon rubber features a trail-inspired multi-terrain lug sole that holds well on slick and uneven surfaces. This is my first pair of Keen shoes and I'm glad that I discovered them. These shoes look unique, stylish and at the same time they are very comfortable and relatively worm. I would recommend them to others.

I am a woman who rarely wore enclosed shoes up to the age of 35, except for soccer shoes. Women's widths are never wide enough but this Briggs men's 8 let's me snug up the instep while allowing for adequate width in the toe box - and still does not look clunky. Great walking shoe.

Shoe is very comfortable and very nice looking. Have not worn it in wet weather yet, so no comment on its water-proofing. Based on other reviewer comments, I bought the shoe a half size larger than my normal size and the fit is perfect.

Good comfortable shoes- excellent tread- haven't tested the waterproof yet (probably good, but not in a hurry to find out). Sole padding seemed excessive at first, but after a few hours it seemed to form to my foot and have since been very comfy. Definitely would recommend these!

I have had Keen shoes before. The most comfortable shoe I have ever worn. This model is the waterproof version of the Bronx mesh I had. I use them to play golf.

I own three pairs of Keens... and that's it. Never again. My first two pairs (Bronx and Boston) - I lived in, walking 1 to 2 hours a day in them, to and from work, teaching, weekends - loved, and they lasted for ages (4 years almost). I bought a new pair of Bronxs, and the sole wore out in less than a year. Hate to say it, because they were such a great shoe - but Keens seem to have made serious compromises for the sake of... what, more profit? Disappointed.

Just received my Keen Bronx shoes and I have to say I am very impressed. I am very particular about my footwear and these shoes are an all around 10 for both fit and finish. Going to buy another pair in a different color. Shipping was nice and quick also.

The shoe is much shorter in overall length for their size than my others, yet the fit is very good?? Mine are true to size, but would not want them any smaller. I have many other brands and these are my favorites. I would buy them again in a heartbeat

Superb quality and fit. Maybe I'm luckier than some reviewers here, but I've been buying Keens for years and this most recent pair (Fall '06) are still excellent in my opinion. Certainly nowhere near the freefall quality erosion I've noticed with the 'T brand' shoes over the last 15 years.
Perhaps my fit is unique but I tend to fit one size smaller than with other brands (11 vs. 12); possibly given the generous default width.

This is my first Keen shoes. Heard so much good things and thought that I would try one. No regrets so far. Stylish yet very comfortable. I got it on a killer deal too! Altrec is going to be one of my favorite shopping places.

I really like these shoes - took them on a trip - right out of the box - and my feet felt like they were my old favorites. I'll probably get another pair. A half size larger should be just right for sizing.

I love my new Keens. I own another pair of their very versatile sandals, and it was on that association that I bought a second pair of Keens. The shoe fits me perfectly,; there was no "braking-in" period. Worked great right away. Look good as well. Several co-worker commented on my stylish shoes.

The Bronx is one of the most comfortable and supportive shoes that I've ever owned for walking on pavement. It has great balance, a wide toe box and a rigid sole structure that make it unique. It also has great styling. I have several pairs now and hope that this shoe stays in Keen's great catalog of innovative products. The earlier Bronx versions did have a better removal liner, with superior arch support, but the version 2's are still quite good. The workmanship continues to be excellant. I love this shoe.

This is a great shoe. I have had it for a month and it fits great and is very comfortable. I do love the looks of this as well. I wear them to work and after running around for 10-14 hours my feet still feel great. I would gladly buy again and size was appropriate. Altrec shipping and service is fantastic as well.

I ordered these shoes from Altrec and they are great. They took like two days to "break in" and then they were awesome. They have become the only shoes I want to put on. I work on my feet all day and my feet do not fell tired by the end of a long day. A++

This light weight and stylish shoe is very comfortable. I bought it because I liked the first pair of Keen shoes I purchased, the Portsmouth. They are similar, but the Bronx has a more casual look. The Bronx lacing system allows for a more individual fit, and and some may find the both the Portsmouth and the Bronx to be a little too wide, but most of that width is in the toe box only. As for length, you should order a half size larger than usual. Good arch support and cushoned insert.

Based on previous reviews, I ordered a pair that is half size larger. There is plenty of room in the toe area due to the Keen design of all their shoes. However, I noticed that the front is also "flatter" than my other non-Keen brand shoes, so that I could feel the top part of the shoe very noticeably. It doesn't really bother me and after a few wears, I was used to it.

This is my first pair of Bronx, so I can't compare with the originals. I found them comfortable right out of the box, which is unusual for me: I'm prone to blisters. I've already been asked where I got them, so they must look ok, too. My feet are sometimes a little big for a 10.5, and a little small for an 11, so I followed the advice given by other reviewers and bought the bigger size. I've worn them nearly every day since they arrived, at work and on vacation in the Sierras. Good shoe. Can't comment about durability yet, haven't owned them long enough.

since i got my pair of keen bronx, i hardly want to wear anything else. they are extremely comfortable and fit well. fit true to size for me. the leather is great, one sales guy at a shoe store told me they were 'infused' so they last longer and aren't damaged by water? not sure, but the leater looks good as new more than a year after i got them.

One of the most comfortable casual shoe I have ever owned. Yes, order one half size larger than normal. This is my second pair of the Bronx and the newer version is lighter than the orignal but I find it just as comfortable. Keen is a great company and I received my order form Altrec in less than 10 days in Canada. Great service as usual.

I have plantar fasciitis and before now, had very little hope of being able to walk comfortably. I picked up a pair of these Keen Bronx shoes, and am just amazed. The look, the compliments, the durability, the unparalleled comfort, and even the souhd. The tell-tale dress shoe clip-clop even sounds hot. These shoes are completely amazing, hip, and very functinal.
Also getting them in all available colors.

Not that I was looking for it, but it has amazed me how many people have commented on my shoes and how much they like them. I like them so much I'm going to get them in multiple colors.

These are my 4th pair of Keens. They have typical keen comfort and seem very well made. The color I received is much darker then the picture, which I don't really like. They are also the widest of all my other keens.

The Keen Briggs are the second Keen shoes I have bought. The first pair were great. Most comfortable ever. I took the suggestion and ordered up a half size from normal, the same size as my previous Keens. These are a little large. Normal size would have been best.

I regret I never knew the first generation Kenn shoe whose disappearance is lamented by Chris et. al. This current "profit-driven, shoddy imitator" actually strikes me as quite a good shoe. Granted, I've only owned my pair for ten days (far short of the ten years that some hope to extract from this pair of shoes), but I've found them extremely comfortable, particularly in the wide toes, with quality of construction that meets or exceeds modern shoe standards. I would buy them again (on clearance).

Personally. I love it. I think it's a great looking show (I get lots of comments). Still taking a little bit to break in and I'm not able to comment (yet) on the longevity of this shoe - although I am very hard on footwear so I'll update in a few months. So far, good value, good style.

Straight out of the box, these were extremely comfortable. These are my 3rd pair of Keens, & they are the best ones yet... The new tread design has good traction & doesn't cake dirt, the logo is fairly subdued (which is a good thing), and the new foot bed is an improvement on an excellent design.
The only warnings I have are minor. First, Keens tend to run a tad small, so I recommend ordering a full size up. The other warning is that this pair tends to be a little "squeaky", but I'm sure it'll pass with time. All in all, this is a great pair of shoes.

This is my second pair of Bronx and third overall pair of Keens. I've been very happy with my first pair of Bronx (Bronx Mesh) and wanted an all leather pair. The quality of the leather looks the same as my two year old Bostons which have held up very well. Very comfortable right out of the box and the style is a nice hybrid of a European type "Camper" and an outdoor hiker.

I noticed that other reviewers said that the Keen Bronx was a very comfortable walking shoe. I wore mine for the first time yesterday and have not wanted to take them off. I have narrow, flat feet and the shoes have such good support that I feel as if I stand up straighter. Definitely recommended for those whose feet need arch supports. I was pleasantly surprised. I think more Keen shoes are in my future.

Ned - 2006-01-21Good, but not what Keens used to be
I bought a pair of Bronx mesh over the summer, and found them to be well-made and very comfortable shoes, except for the the slight fraying of the mesh another reviewer mentioned, which I hope doesn't get much worse. I recently bought a pair of black Bronx, and found that the overall quality had gone down. My new pair almost seemed like a cheap knock-off of my first pair. They are still a good pair of shoes, and still comfortable, but the drop in quality is evident from the quailty of the leather to the support system in the sole. It does indeed seem that Keen has sold out. Unless they turn themselves around, I'll have to find a new brand when my Keens wear out.

I have purchased and worn 3 pairs of the Bronx shoe and find them very comfortable and good looking BUT, 2 of the 3 have had problems. The Bronx Mesh frayed badly and leather style had stitching come loose. So all they deserve is a 3 rating.

I recently bought a pair of Keen Bronx Mesh shoes. I was very impressed by how comfortable and light the shoes were. 10 days after purchase with only everyday, typical use, the mesh material is disintegrating into fuzz and the fabric inside the heel of the shoe has already worn through. They couldn’t possibly have used cheaper materials.

Boy, I am VERY sad to have to agree with Chris' 11/14/05 review. I bought a pair of Bronx about a year ago. Fearing that that these GREAT shoes might undergo a style change (or, worse, a discontinuation!), I've periodically scanned several sources for indications of such a dreaded event. At the first sign of change, I planned to load up on a remainder-of-life supply (I'm currently 51; I figure three more pair of these excellent shoes would easily cruise me through to 90).
Then, in November, I found out that the solid, well built, comfortable, value-packed original had been replaced with this cheap-looking, uninspiring, lightweight. I immediately hit the Net seeking a source for a necessary fix. NOTHING! All I can find is these cheesy, second-generation, apparent imitations.
You know, I think we all understand the need for profitability in the fashion industry. But why does making a buck so often seem to have to involve cheapening up a product? I bet that if some of these companies took a public pole, they'd realize that there are a lot of us out here quite willing to pay a premium for the continued availability of a first-rate product, rather than "getting a deal" on an inferior successor.
A month ago, I felt this shoe manufacturer could do no wrong. I'd love an opportunity to go back feeling that way.

totally dissappointed. i bought a pair last year to wear at work. i'm a cook and i'm on my feet all day long. they we're amazing so i went to buy a new pair today and thought i was going crazy. the bronx just looked alot cheaper and the soles didn't have the same tractions design. i liked the old design because of the water hazards where i work. anyway. totally disappointed.

these shoes are the worst shoe I have ever owned. Very poor construction and very narrow. You have to order 1/2 size larger. I had blisters after only 30 minutes hiking. Not worth the money.

Keen shoes have gone down in quality since they first were introduced to the market. They have cheapen the uppers, and additionally, the soles have been changed from the original brillant design and comfort that they afforded a consumer. I am completely disappointed with their product, I believe that they have abandoned their initial concept for the pursuit of profit....
