Warm and grippy low boots
Comfy, light, warm and the traction is great. The olive color is much more green than shown in the video. Also, they don't come with the "speed lace lock off" - the video is surprisingly misleading. I like the boots a lot but they are too low for fun in the snow without some gaiters.

A great cold-weather boot.
I have been using my Growler boots for almost a month now and am very pleased with them. For reference, weather (in Wisconsin) during the past month has been snowy (record December snowfall) and cold, with temperatures often between -10 to 10 F. I have often worn these boots for 2-4 hours in the cold and snow, and my feet have stayed warm and dry. I have several pairs of Keen shoes and ordered these 1/2 size larger than my usual size 11; they fit well with a medium or heavy wool sock. Light and comfortable, these boots provide great arch support (a must for this reviewer) and have been worn during several hikes of 4-5 miles. I recommend them highly and plan to purchase a pair as a gift for my son.

Great Boot
Keen used to make really wide toe boxes but they seemed to have narrowed. I bought 1/2 size larger and it fit better in the toe box. I am somewhere between the standard D width and 2E.

Great winter boots
Got them for snow shoeing and just playing around in the snow. They are warm and like all the other keens I own are very comfortable and have good traction and support.

Not too chunky
I bought these for my 17 year old son who has a narrow foot and slim build. The fit was perfect and the Keen Growler didn't overpower his frame like other bulky snow boots. Not only are they keeping his feet warm and dry but they look good too.

Very good value
Warm and easy to break in. VERY light. I work outside in New England for 12-14 hours at a time and I was very comfortable. Very good value.

Another winner from Keen!
Once again, Keen has hit it right on the head. These boots are great for harsh elements. They do appear to be waterproof after standing in a 5 inch puddle while removing he snow from my car. The tread is amazing! I was able to walk (slowly)on ice without slipping. One thing to keep in mind is that these boots are insulated, so if you plan on wearing them indoors for the majority of the time, you may look for something else. However, if you are looking for a pair of boots for walking to work in slush and snow or just really cold days, these are great.

Keen Growler: like a thermal hug for the foot
These boots are fantastic. They are the perfect blend of comfort and performance, and are well prepared to tackle the northern winter as well as fall trekking. From the driveway to the trail, these are the best all-weather boots I have ever owned.

awesome winter boot for those who still experience winter
Good traction and support. Keep feet warm so far down to -25 degrees Celisus. Hopefully will work down to the rated -32.

Great hiking boots with good support and comfort
I just bought my Keen Growlers and I have been wearing them around the house. These boots feel like I have had them for a while as they are already broken and comfortable to wear. Easy to lace up and plenty of protection from the elements.

Should have ordered 1/2 larger.
i bought the womens version of this boot because i LOVE my Keen Targhee IIs....the sizing on the womens Growler was a little short. If it was available I would have ordered it 1/2 size larger.

Beautiful and warm...BUT.......
As I sit here typing this review, I'm looking at my KEEN GROWLER boots. This is one nice-looking pair of boots! They are also extremely warm, thanks to the Primaloft insulation (my jacket has Primaloft also...it's a miracle material!). That is why I at least gave them a star. Now for the reason I only gave them 1: For some reason, the left boot has a "bump" in the footbed that happens to be exactly under the ball of my left foot. After only 1-2 minutes of wearing them, the left boot becomes so uncomfortable that all I can think about is taking it off. The right boot? Well, it actually feels perfectly fine. I figured this was a defective pair, so I sent it back for a different pair. Imagine my surprise when the next pair had the same issue! ONLY ON THE LEFT FOOT, how strange! So...I went to my local outdoor store and decided to try on some more KEENs. I have read many a review of KEEN shoes and I can't count the number of times the phrase "the most comfortable shoe I've ever worn" comes up. So I thought I would try on some of their sandals that people seem to rave about so much. Guess what? Both the Venice AND Newport styles had the EXACT same issue with the left shoe "bump" sitting right under the ball of my left foot!! I should also add that the Targhee hiking shoes and the Arroyo sandals did NOT have this "bump". So, that's 3 out of 5 KEEN styles failing the comfort test. And yes, I tried on different sizes also just in case that was the issue...it wasn't. The bump was there, all right, only in the left shoe. WHY?? I'm 34 years old and thus have worn MANY different brands and styles throughout my life. I have NEVER had this problem with shoes before, and now 3/5 styles???? ONLY IN THE LEFT SHOE???? What the heck, Keen?!?! Needless to say, I'm sending this second pair of Growlers back and will stick with shoes that actually fit evenly on BOTH feet...what a concept! BTW...My pair of Salomon Extend Mid XCR hiking shoes have lasted me over a year now and are still "the most comfortable pair of shoes I've ever worn".
