Coolest Keen sandal.
February 25, 2012

If your feet feel get hot these will be great. I've walked miles in these at Walt Disney World. They are comfortable during the summer months. My feet get hot. The newport h2's retain more foot heat than the hydro guides. The kanyon's have less cushioning than the hydro guides. These dry quickly and the footbed drains keeping my feet cool and dry after thunderstorms.

Pros: comfort.

I work as a river guide and bought these shoes because I liked the look of the rubber toe protector. I have now been using these shoes for the last 4 months and they have been great. The sole grips good wet or dry when running round on rocks and the foot bed offers great support. So far showing no signs of flaws even after everyday usage

Pros: built well

My Ideal Keen......
August 31, 2011

Well as we all know Keens are no longer Keens. All but one, the hydro guide, come with elastic pull cords and with neoprene tight around the ankle. If you like that, great. But, not all changes are for the better for everyone. This someone included. I loved my old Keen sandals I got before everyone in the country had a pair. They were all leather, had the hard toe, and PULL STRAP CLOSURES! So after 8 years they finally wore out and I needed a new pair and lo and behold you can't find any. Looked everywhere to get a new pair and nope, no longer available. The only pair that had the pull closure option were the hydro guide. Ok fine. But you can't find them anywhere. Every store I went to nobody carries them, even outdoor stores. So I bought them online at Altrec. I have had the opportunity to wear them for a week and a half and I LOVE THEM!!!! The hard toe covers all the toes well making them very comfortable. The strap is well placed and easy to use. Thank god Keen still makes at least one sandal that has the old style closure. They wear well around casually and in the water, as the name would suggest. If you liked the old Keens...... try these I know you won't be disappointed.

Pros: comfortable, great strap placement, great for water or casual
Cons: open body

These were extremely comfortable though the straps became a bit loose when they got wet. I have walked an considerable amount with these and they have worked great.

Great Shoe
June 01, 2010

Wear a 9.5 usually so I ordered a size 10 to accommodate a 3 mm wet sock. Had to return the 10 to get a 9. Still ample room for a wet sock in the 9. I was skeptical about the Velcro back but super comfortable. Love the toe protection!

Great Shoe

I wear a 9.5 usually, ordered the 10 to have extra room for wet sock and needed to size down to the 9. Size 9 still should have ample room for for a 3 mm wet sock. I was a little skeptical about the Velcro back but super comfortable. Love the toe protection.

worn primarily for boating. Love the non slip tread. Protected toe is great on boats. The crossed straps are comfortable and easy to slide into. Overall and outstanding sandal.
