Great Shoe, runs large
August 20, 2011
I bought this shoe for my husband for an outdoor adventure vacation coming up in October. This is a great shoe in terms of style and support for men- especially for flat feet-, he loves there was no tying required, and the picture of the shoe in shitake/bossa nova does the true shoe color justice. The only down side is the shoe does run large, and even though Altrec noted the shoe ran a 1/2 size big I still ordered him a size 13 since there is no 12.5 water/hiking shoe made that we are aware of. When he tried on the shoes without socks and after he took a few steps he thought the shoe size was actually 1 size too large on him - and the shoe definitely wasn't wet yet. So, we will be exchanging for a size 12 and I am crossing my fingers the 12 is just right...keep you posted.
Pros: great for wide and flat feet, provides great arch support, protects toes, Cons: shoe runs largethere good

I like them, they do what they said they would do. They get wet, they dry quick. What ever size you wear, order that size. My 9 1/2 fit good and a 10 would have been to big.
Great Shoes

I waited all summer so I could include all three trips to the boundary waters. I wanted to assess comfort and durability. These shoes had it all. I wore them on multiple portages and day long paddles. They were great. As comfortable as I could hope and they dried very quickly. I had no problems all summer. With respect to durability, you can hardly tell that I wore them so much. The soles look like new and there is no evidence of significant wear. Most importantly for an old guy like me, they provided great support.
Pros: durable and comfortable, great supportWrite a review for the Keen McKenzie Water Shoe here.
So Comfortable

These shoes are very comfortable. I wear them all the time. Basically a sandal with great foot protection. Love these shoes for kayaking, especially if I'm taking a overnight trip. Even wet you can hike in these. Wet or dry great shoe.

Simply the most comfortable shoe, for warm weather, that I have ever owned. You can wear them all day and there is no smell. Your feet feel fresh after wearing them also. I even wear them to the gym. They are better than, and lighter than sneakers. Once again, Keen hits it out of the park.

Great Purchase

Ordered these shoes for my husband who wears Keens for work and play. I had been having difficulty finding this type of shoe (water) since the current pair he has are no longer in stock.
Another great Keen product

I purchased this shoe because I live near a beach that has a lot of rocks and pebbles that can do a number on your feet. I used the shoe the day they arrived and I love them. The mesh on the sides keeps out pebbles and the sturdy soles protect your feet and toes from the slippery rocks. The mesh allows sand in but that doesn't hurt your feet. If I was to order again I may have bought a half size smaller since I am wearing the shoes without socks and a tighter fit would be nice for swimming.
Pros: quality, style, Cons: noneGreat water shoe!

Used for a week at the beach and trail hiking. Had no problems, were comfortable from day one. The shoe is well built and light weight. I have ordered a second pair, but a half size smaller for a tighter fit for stream wading.
Pros: lightweight build quailtyKeen McKenzie

As with other Keen's very very comfortable. This shoe is extra comfortable. I've been using it as a daily kick around shoe but live in a warm climate so wouldn't be packing these if I were going to the snow! The only negative is that it should come with elastic laces and the binding around the shoe entry should be tighter. Other than that a great shoe.

Great for Kayaking
October 28, 2011
These shoes were a great choice for me. They are lightweight and dry off quickly. The shoe is comfortable in my kayak and protects your feet from underwater objects like barnacles, sticks, sharp rocks, and other things lurking below. They work fine for walking on land too plus a fashion statement at the lunch place.
Pros: lightweight, dry quickly, comfortableDid you recently buy the Keen McKenzie Water Shoe? Write a review.

Bought these for my husband for our Lake Powell trip where we did lots of hiking and kayaking. The shoes run very large so we had to return them for a smaller size. There are no arch support so okay for those that dont need extra support. Shoes had good traction on rocks and wet surfaces. Mesh kept most rocks out but did get sand and mud inside. He wore these shoes with socks and shoes did not requre a break in period. Shoes are good for wide feet and they have roomy toe box. Shoe dried faster than those who wore leather Keens on the trip.
Pros: good for hiking in water, good boating shoe, good traction, Cons: run large, no supportWrite a review for the Keen McKenzie Water Shoe here.
Great shoe for water/outdoors
November 10, 2011
Well I just got these in the mail and tried them on. I had also received other watershoes from other companies to compare since this was my first pair of shoes of this genre. Out of the ones I've tried this was the closest to actual size (being that I wear a size 14). I was planning on wearing this shoe without socks. The form of the shoe on my feet was great and the rubber protection of the front part of the shoe looks like it's good quality (not that i'm planning on kicking rocks and all but good proctection just in case a rock steps out of line). The only complaint that I would have is that being barefoot in them i can feel just a little bit some of the seams and rubs slightly on the side of my foot. I'm hoping that this will pass with some more wear/use. I'm hoping that the mesh that sort of seals the foot will prevent small pebbles and twigs from finding it's way under my foot, but not sure it will stop sand from getting in and doing the same. I returned the rest and kept this one. Overall the look is real nice and looks high quality so overall i'm impressed. Let's see what happens after I put it to use.
Pros: great look and quality, true to size, Cons: slight rubbing of seam on side of footGreat Shoe

I bought these before a trip to Hawaii because I needed a multi purpose shoe. I didn't want sport sandals or "Mandals". Sure they work great in the outdoors but they look silly to me in the city. I wanted one pair of shoes for everything. These perform like sandals but they look like shoes. I wore them with socks on the flight over and they were very comfortable and looked fine with pants. Ditched the socks when I got there and they performed great walking through the markets and around town. The mesh is fine enough that you can't really see too much skin between the straps. We did a kayak/hiking trip and again the shoes performed well. Water drains away perfectly. Some grit made it through the mesh but I only felt like stopping once in 5 hours to empty the small rocks that got in the shoes. I have multiple pairs of Keen shoes and I am always a 10.5 but I probably should have gone with a 10 in these. The 10.5 fit fine but once I got them wet with no socks and tried to walk in sticky Hawaiian mud, I was wishing they were a little more snug on my feet. There were a couple times that my heel popped out and the adjustment cord was as tight as it would go. Overall, I'm very happy with the shoes and would recommend them.
Pros: drain water well, great ventilation, good support, Cons: limited fit adjustmentMulti task footwear

My 5'11" 180 lb. boyfriend has been wearing his size 11 McKenzies everyday, all day long, for almost two weeks. They're exactly the shoe he wanted for summertime- true to size, comfortable, breathable and supportive. Not only is he satisfied wearing these on short desert hikes, but, also, scrambling around at his construction job site. The footbed's a good balance between flexibility and support. They don't squish his toes too bad when he's kneeling, and the ladder rungs aren't bruising the bottoms of his feet right away, either. The shoe strings seemed a bit long at first, but tucking them in seems to work alright. Unlike some shoes, stickers and burrs don't seem to be particularly attracted to the materials. He doesn't have a single complaint regarding these shoes.

Light weight, rugged and airy. The shoe fits a bit loose around the heel. If you sinch up the shoe so the heel part fits it gets too tight on top of your foot.
Pros: light weight, rugged, Cons: fits loose around the heelAlready own the Keen McKenzie Water Shoe? Tell us your thoughts.
