Keen Sandals
These sandals are amazing and durable. I have been riding bikes, hiking, and running around in them and they are taking a beating like champs. They are comfortable and I totally recommend these sandals for anyone who wants some quality and durable sandals.

Real Kickers!
These well-made, comfortable, and stylish sandals make it impossible to stub a toe, are waterproof and quick drying nylon material, and go anywhere. In fact, I intend wearing them with a pair of wool dress slacks, like high tech huaraches, so I don't have to pack a pair of dress shoes for going to dinner with a friend during my upcoming dental safari in Mexico.
BTW, consider adding a full size up from your normal shoe size, as they are cut to snug close to your feet.

My most comfortable shoes
This is the third pair of Keen sandals I've owned in the last six years. They wear like iron. I just wore my first pair out Nov.2011. The sandals never malfunctioned, I actually wore the soles off of them. I have worn them casually, hiking,as water shoes and even use them as shower-shoes on military bases in Afghanistan.

These sandals have a nice feel to them. I like that the toes are not exposed (greatly reducing the pain endured after stubbing the toes) and that fresh air could flow in and out of the sandals. Nice!

Size Up
Great shoe as everyone has expressed. If in doubt on size, go up! My nephew felt like the shoe size he normally wears (13) was a little too snug in this sandal, so we returned them for a 14.

Proven value
The first pair lasted through 10 years of wear while loading and unloading my boat into the Chesapeake Bay. The snug upper material dried quickly and always retained it's shape and color. The soles have great traction on slippery surfaces in water and are comfortable for long distance walking on dry surfaces.

Close to perfect
I bought these to go hiking in Hawaii, where I knew I would be crossing shallow streams and dealing with a lot of mud and puddles. At first I was worried about the prospect of hiking in a sandal- particularly whether or not my feet would slide around- especially on declines. These fears were all dismissed when I had them out on the trail- I can say that they are without a doubt my most comfortable shoes. Once I got back from my trip I wore them during all of my summer hiking back in the US, and even just on rainy days until the temp got too low for sandals. My one gripe keeping me from giving these 5 stars is that the grip on the soles is just not enough. It's one thing to slip on river stones, but on regular wet rocks, clay, and dusty dirt surfaces, I sometimes had trouble getting grip. This led to a few tense moments while hiking on an incline a little too near the edge of Waimea canyon. That said, I still recommend them because they're just ridiculously comfortable (when I had plantar fascitis I wore them exclusively until it cleared up); just don't expect to grip as well as a good boot.

Love these! Before moving to India I bought a pair on a whim thinking they'd be my alternate footware, however, in the end I wore them everyday. On top of wearing them everywhere I also trekked the Annapurna's in Nepal, and hiked throughout Costa Rica and Baja, Mexico. After 2 years of abuse I decided my original pair had seen better days and replaced them with another. I'm back in Baja now and don't imagine they'll disappoint.
When I bought my replacement I had worn through the indicating size and guessed. Altrec.com was great with swapping it for the correct size when I got it wrong.

I have owned several pair of the Keen Newport H2 sandal. What I like most about them is the comfort. They fit my foot well and have a generous amount of cushion in the sole. The Keen Newport H2 have a large toe box which may be why I find them so comfortable. My normal shoe size fits me best in the Keen Newport H2, they are true to size. The outsole of the sandal is durable, I have worn out the insole and uppers of this sandal but not the outsole. The cinch on the elastic cord lace failed on one sandal after about a year and a half. The lace on this shoe would not stay tight because the the lace would slip through one side of the cinch. Overall I think these are excellent sandals.

Men's Newport H2 Sandal
What can I say! Another great product from Keen. They are the only shoe I buy now. Doesn't matter whether it's for snow, water or just toolin' around town, they make the best shoe that's comfortable right out of the box. Buy 'em you won't be sorry. And as for Altrec, they are the best!!!

Very comfortable water and all round shoe
I love these shoes. The are very comfortable and have a great arch support. The are made very well and will last a long time. I have had mine for a year and have worn them at the hot springs, the beach, and walked miles in them on pavement. No issues at all and you don't even need to break them in. They are great shoes for someone that wants to protect their feet and also have something that is comfortable.

Long lasting fave...
I purchased these for my husband. After several seasons, they're still a go to favorite. Fit was true to his regular shoe size. He pulls them out for a day at the lake or a casual, relaxed hike. The toe box offers great protection in rocky environments. I liked them so much I bought a pair for myself! Love Altrec for quick shipping and easy (rarely needed) returns.

Great Active Sandal
These shoes are extemely comfortable and keep your feet cool in hot weather. I bought these specifically for an upcoming trip to Kauai, but have been getting a lot of use out of them around home. Wish I would have bought them earlier in the season.

Huge toe box
I've had these sandals over a year, and used them for many times. my first impression was these look kinda frankensteinish but i got over that. there ok for hiking only complaint rocks get in there alot. in the water there good. I just recently had to have one side repaired due to the back strap tearing away from the side piece.

Fantastic sandals

ugly in the box
Well, when I pulled out these sneaker-sandals both my husband and I said in unison..."back these go". BUT, I encouraged him to try them on if nothing else a good laugh or two. BUT they ended up looking cool and he said they felt comfortable. Lesson, dont judge a book by its cover. BTW, the black and tan look nice not dorky.

Keen Newport H2 Sport Sandals
The Keen Newport H2 sandals are a dream come true. Especially for people with wide feet. This is my third pair of Keens and I love everyone of them. I have noticed that the Newport runs alittle on the smaller size, so I went up a 1/2 size from a 8.5 to a 9. One thing I love about the keens are that they fit my fat foot the minute I put them on. No break-in period for me. I love the toe protector and the easy slip on / off with quick lacing system. I live in my keens all summer and have a keen stripe tan. You can't go wrong with the Newport H2 sandal.

Great Altrec Service
This is my second pair. I had to send back the first as it was a bit small, specially the right foot. Altrec changed them very fast, very courtious and without any hassle. New pair is just right and comfortable. Sandals are very well built and should last for a long time.

Truly hybrid footwear
To echo the other hundreds of positive reviews for these sandals, they simply are the best and could literally be the last pair of shoes you would ever need (unless of course you go to a wedding or something). Go anywhere, do anything, and super comfortable sandals. Especially perfect for paddling around the boundary waters.

My Most Comfortable Shoe
This is my second pair of Newport H2 sandals. I bought my first pair about 5 years ago and the only thing that wore out on them were the laces, which Keen replaced free of charge. They really stand behind their product. I am 5'10", 155# and have chronic foot pain. Keen shoes and sandals are the only shoes I can wear pain-free. The Newport sandal is the most versatile and I wear them most of the time.

Excellent Sandals

Keen Newport H20's
I received these shoes and took them on a 30-mile AT hike in North Carolina. They are well designed as hiking sandals. The terrain was rough and they offered better protection that either Tevas or Chacos. They did stretch a bit when wet, so it may be wise to consider a half size smaller than usual. Most disturbing, the outer stitching came undone on both shoes. I intend to exchange these for another pair to see whether this problem was an anomaly or is a serious defect. If the latter is the case, then these shoes are NOT suited for serious, sustained outdoor activity in rough terrain, and I will go back to using trail runners.

Was just what I needed. Used it on the Chicago to Mac sailboat race. Great traction, comfortable and dried quickly. I have a wide foot with a high arch. Width is fine, but is difficult to get on, even with the laces fully loosened. Order 1 size larger than your normal as they seem to run small. Other than having to take some time to get them on, they've been great.

A perfect fit
My newport h2s arrived about a week ago and I think they are a great product. They are a perfect fit and were comfortable right out of the box - no break in period needed. They've already served me well in the great outdoors....strongly recommended and definitely worth the money.
One thing to keep in mind...I normally wear a 10.5 or 11, but after trying them on in a store I went with 11.5. In other words I would order a little above your normal size for a good fit.

all around active sandal
My husband loves these. This summer he has worn them hiking, sailing and even walking in Paris. They dry quickly and never loose their stretch. They pack light and seem to retain no odor. Great gift!

Great all around sandal
I am 6'2', 200 pounds and was looking for a sandal that was all purpose and comfortable to stand in all day. I checked out competitors and decided on this sandal because of design, look and customer reviews. I have had them for about 2 months and find them very comfortable and easy to take on and off. I cannot give 5 stars for durability or quality because I just got them, But they look like they will last.
Ordering should be done 1/2 size larger. I am normally a 11.5 and went with 12 and was right on the money.

What is left to say...
These are the best shoes that I have EVER owned! Given the opportunity I would wear them everyday, they are that comfortable. Keen's quality and customer service is amazing. Laces on my pair gave out about a year ago after 7 years....it was not wear that did the damage...rather my 150lb dog. NO problem, one call and I had a new set of laces in days. I love both KEEN and ALTREC. Do yourself a favor order them NOW.

Great sandals so far!
I have yet to really put these sandals to the test on the river, but I expect they will be great. I am pleased with the protection they provide my toes.
They also are fairly wide (I have size 9), which suits me fine because I have a "bunionette" on my right foot (the distal 5th metatarsal at the MTP joint [the base of my little toe] bulges laterally: see the accompanying photo). This typically gives me problems with new footwear, but not with these Keens, I am happy to say!
My friends who own Keens have complained that in the past they really stank if they were not kept clean. I have not experienced that yet, and I think Keen has tried to address this problem with new materials. We'll see....
Anyway, I am glad I bought them. I think you will be, too.

Great Sandal
These Keen sandals are the best shoes I have ever purchased for the river. Great protection, heavy duty, and very universal. The only bad thing is the price, pretty expensive. Other then that I would recommend these to anyone camping, rafting, etc.

Comfortable and Cool

Great Hybrid Sandal
I've never been a sandal affectionado because the types of activities I engage in are too hazardous to the feet and too hard to keep most sandals on. Keen was thinking of me when they designed these sandals. They're cool to the feet but provide protection and steep climb traction. I'll wear these out, if it's possible.

Sandal is great for various purposes. They can just as easily be used for urban walking as light trail hiking. Great to wear by the water as they dry quickly and provide good traction when wet. Fits true to size. Love this color. Excellent comfort.

Comfort out of the box
I had been looking at these sandals for a while and pulled the trigger for the purchase when my size went on sale. I was satisfied with the look and quality right out of the box. When I put them on I knew they were the right choice.
Within an hour of putting them on they felt like I had owned them forever and had formed to my feet......so comfortable.
I wore them all day today to a college super regional baseball game (Go Gators) in 90+ degree weather. Once again sooooo comfortable. I can't wait to wear them in wet weather to see their performance then. That test will come soon enough as I purchased these to pair with my boots on a backpacking trip to the Tetons in Sept. They will be used for short day hikes and I am certain they will be perfect.

Most comfortable ever

These are some great water/hiking sandals. I use them for very light hikes, especially if we're going to be in the water. They have lasted a lot longer than I expected.....don't seem to ever fall apart. They run true to size except they do fit just a hair wide. All in all great sandals for whatever terrain you're looking to conquer.

Awesome!
These sandals are great. Wore them while hiking/rappelling on a recent trip to Mexico.
Did quite well in rocky terrain and wet terrain. In areas of high dust small pebbles did make their way through the holes. This was slightly annoying but no big deal.
The soles were rugged and stood up to all kinds of abuse.

Everything you will ever need in a sandal
I spend a lot of my summer constantly in and out of the water for both work and fun. On the trail, on the bike, in the canoe, camping, or just hanging around, the Keen Newport H2 is the top sandal for everything you would ever want. And nice enough for casual Friday's in the office, to boot! The sandal stays secure and keeps your foot stable in all conditions (think wet rocks, beach football, etc), easy to get in and out of, and has ample room without feeling overly clunky. If you have wide feet like I do, you will love them even more. I used to be a Teva fan (10 years ago), but the extra toe protection and unbelievable comfort of the Keens has made me a convert. My daughter calls me "tiger feet" because of the permanent tan stripes that have resulted from wearing them. I can get about 5 or 6 months of everyday-action out of a pair, then the foot bed seems to "break down" a bit too much and becomes uncomfortable (I pronate like a duck). When the temps dip below 60, I simply toss on a pair of light wool socks and get another month of Keen-wearing.
Yes they're a little pricey for a shoe you can see through, but if you value comfort, durability, and functionality, buy these sandals without a second thought.

Runs a size small
These are great spring and summer sandals that run a full size small. I am a size 11 but had to order a size 12 for fit. They are made of a anti microbial rubber but they will still smell as you wear them with bare feet. Be prepared to wash them to keep the smell minimal.

Exactly what I wanted!
I purchased my Keen Newport H2s for a trip to Europe this summer. I will be doing a lot of walking and these will be the only pair of shoes I'm taking. I would normally wear running shoes but always feel under-dressed when going out to eat in Europe. My wife has had her H2s for over a year now and based on her experience I decided a pair would be perfect for me. I wanted something that would be comfortable with socks in the cooler north and also ready for the beach in the south. I have been wearing them around casually now for a month to get used to the feel. I am very pleased with the construction, fit and color (I went with the Bison - looks like chocolate to me). I wear a 9 regular and they are very comfortable while wearing light-weight socks.

Recent purchase
These shoes are extraordinarily comfortable. I tried them on and then, because they felt so good, walked around in them the rest of the day. I cannot comment on durability having just purchased them but they are well-made and offer as good a foot protection as a sandal will allow. Great traction.

Keen fit
This is my second pair of Newports. Quality of construction and materials is superior to comparable products. These were approx. 1/2 too small, makes it difficult to purchase online without being able to try on.

Newport Water Sandal
I teach swift water rescue classes on the Colorado river. Many operations entail scrambling on rocky river banks and then immediate swims in fast moving water. Foot protection (especially toes) require adequate armor to avoid painful injury.These shoes meet my requirements and still allow unencumbered rapid swimming. Durability will be decided if these sandals last a full season.

Great sandals
This is my second pair of Keen H2s and I love them. They are great. I use them for lots of activities from walking with my family to hiking. They are a fantastic sandal/shoe when you don't know what your outgoing will bring.
Only two downsides. 1. On certain wet surfaces they can be a slippery where a runner seems to have more grip. 2. After lots of use the footbed and lining starts to smell. I didn't toss my old pair in the wash soon enough and the smell was permanent. The smell is the only reason I bought a new pair.

Favorite Sandal by far!
I loved these sandals enough to buy another pair in preparation for this summer. I wear a size 11 and they fit perfect! I have a relatively low arch and have no problem with the feel and fit. At first I thought they'd be too heavy, clunky, and too hot, but I got use to them and wear them often. I prefer them over other sandals simply because they take a beating and feel like shoes. These sandals are born to get wet. I highly recommend them and I wouldn't consider buying them over and over again... at Altrec. Their service is amazing!!!

Great Sandals!
I have a pair of these sandals which I wear everyday to work as a Vet Tech. They are comfy and very durable. I can even throw them in the washing machine if I get anything on them or hose them off if they get muddy. I bought a pair for my BF for Christmas because his old pair wore out after many years. He's actually the person that turned me on to these sandals. I wear them everywhere from hiking to the grocery store. I also bought my Dad a pair and one of my co-workers bought a pair because they liked mine so much. These are great sandals that hold up anywhere.

Comfortable, plenty of toe area, my 2nd pair
Great sandal, I walk everywhere & mountain bike ride in them. Plenty of toe protection, which other sandals do not provide. The toe box area has plenty of room, reason I bought a 2nd pair. Note: I have owned 3 pairs, one got replaced under warranty due to bottom sole detaching & stitching starting to come undone (restitched it myself) - this occurred on a Franklin river trip in Tasmania, Australia (11day trip). A negative they do stink after awhile & can get slippery / sweaty on your foot - a pair of socks fixes this & cures any sand issues. Grip: not great on wet slippery rocks. Basically I love the comfort of these & often with a size 14 foot, boots are often difficult to find, so I wear the Keens, boots often do not have any toe room, the Keens do. My foot width is 4.5 inches & there is plenty of room. I will continue to buy these even with the few negatives I've mentioned. Great value buying online, compared to retail overseas (Oz).

SOOO Comfortable
These shoes are SO sweet! I bought a pair for my brother-in-law last year and finally got a pair for my birthday this year. I would TOTALLY hike in these! I live 30 minutes away from the Smoky Mountains and love jumping in the creeks up there. These are GREAT for that...especially the toe protection (no more stubbing my toe on rocks!). My dad put them on once and now he and my mom both have a pair! Your foot feels VERY secure in these shoes. I marked the fit as pretty standard. However, I had to buy 1/2 size down. I normally wear an 11.5 but I bought an 11. They are harder to put on, but it just felt like the 11 fit much better once my foot was in it.

Versatile and comfortable!
I have taken my Keen H2s on two trips so far and am very happy with them! On a canoe trip in the Quetico they were very comfortable for those long, boulder-filled portages as well as drying quickly after being in the water. In Patagonia, the toe protection and arch support served me well on mountain trails while carrying a large pack. As a big guy- 6 ft 1 and 225 lbs- it's usually hard for me to find sandals that fit well, but these Keens are both wide enough and easily adjustible for hours of comfort. The only downside is the occasional pebble that finds its way in between the straps and under your foot, but that can happen with any shoe. Overall I would rate these highly functional and an excellent value:)

these sandals rocked Haiti!
So I was one of those caring individuals that volunteered to help assist earthquake victims in Haiti and brought along my brand new Keens to that humid, hot and dusty land! They were the best choice of gear for my feet that I could have brought. Definitely waterproof which is good because i was usually standing in a pool of my own filthy sweat! Great tread for rocky or muddy terrain. Due to the mud being so thick I did rip the stitching after constantly freeing my footwear from the sucking power of sinking mud, but after some quick repairs these bad boys are back and better than ever!

I absoultely love keen sandals. I have travelled the world in mine, probably went through several pairs in the last few years. I like the ones made of material as you can walk in them in the water and they dry out quickly. That pair I bought for my dad who, after year of begging, finally let me buy him a pair! he loves the support and comfort the sandal offers. After first week of wearing them he called me and asked me to order some more in-line as gift for both of my brother-in-laws. I was lucky that local store had a sale going. Great everyday shoe
Surprisingly warm, I've ended up wearing these shoes even in fairly cool weather. I use them most days as my main shoe. The only nuisance is that sand/rocks have a tendency to get stuck up near the toe and are tricky to get out.

Best Water Shoes I've Owned
I wanted a pair sandals that would hold up to everyday use and light hiking. They have done that and more! The durable soles have held up extremely well. The upper parts of shoes are starting to frey a little ( that's probably because I wear them everywhere ). Be sure order a half size larger.

Great sandals
A great pair of sandals. This is my fourth pair and I plan on buying them as long as they keep on making them. They hold up really well when thrown in the washer and then air-dried. Have recommended to friends who are big fans as well. Great heel support. Only con is that they tend to wear our more quickly than other sandals, but this is to be expected with the support and cushioning they provide - you can't have both.
