Keen "Portsmouth"
November 10, 2011
GREAT shoes! So comfortable and reliable. If you have wide feet consider Keen's shoes. They'll fit you really nice. You can sped whole day in those shoes and not feel fatigue at all :) Enjoy your new Keen's.
Pros: leather, wide, soft inside, durable, sturdyDid you recently buy the Keen Portsmouth Shoe? Write a review.
Very Comfortable
February 13, 2006
While I think there are a few good brands out there with comfortable shoes, these are great around the city, and they don't have much for laces so my dog can't chew them up. They are mostly waterproof, was walking around in snow yesterday and they worked great, and I even get away with them at work sometimes.
Great Shoes

These shoes are great! They are comfortable, great looking and extremely durable. I also loved the price because this was the lowest price on this particular shoe I could find anywhere. I would totally recommend this website and this shoe to anyone and everyone! :)
Great Customer Service!

These guys are great - fast shipping and great communication! This is my first pair of Keen's, but I'm shopping for more RIGHT NOW! Love the shoes!
Sturdy shoe that's also light
January 21, 2006
The construction is very sturdy. At first glance, the shoe seems heavy but one you feel that shoe, they are surprisingly light considering it is all rubber and leather. I was pleasantly surprised. Who wants to lug around heavy shoes. The fit feel very close to size. One thing I would mention is that the upper sole is slightly low so if you have a high profile foot, you may feel a little pressure at the top but not uncomfortable.
Great service

The most comfortable pair of shoes I've owned.

This is the 2nd pair of the Keen Portsmouth shoes I have worn. I wore the soles off and had to replace them with a new pair.

Great shoe for the price

I love the way the shoe hugs my heel while providing plenty of room in the toe-box. If you have a narrow foot you might initially feel like your forefoot is swimming around a little bit. The comfort is great when you first put them on but more importantly, the comfort and support remains throughout the day.
all around great shoe

GREAT shoe

GREAT shoe second pair, perfect shoe for casual lifestyle
Wide forefoot, slightly short
January 31, 2006
Good room for your forefoot to spread out, which is nice. They do run a tad short, so at least move up to the bigger of the two sizes you sometimes wear. Maybe even another half size bigger again if you have a high volume foot. Very light and flexible shoes, so I hope they prove durable. Excellent insoles should be comfy for a majority of the feet out there right away. I like the wallaby design; good looking shoes. Fewer eyelets means little fit customization though if you're one who likes to cinch down their shoes or have a low volume foot (my best advice there is to just go with the slightly smaller size, at least they won't slop around quite as much, even if they are snugger in length then). As always, top notch service from Altrec.
Comfortable, durable and great looking
November 23, 2012
I've got wide feet so the wider fit of Keen's shoes suit me well. I needed a pair of shoes for work for the winter months. The Portsmouth's are perfect. They're durable, extremely comfortable and look great with both jeans and khakis. I ordered the size I normally wear in Keens and find that these fit about a half size larger so I've got some extra room in this pair. I don't mind the looser fit since I tend to wear heavier boot socks in the winter. Five stars for a great looking and super comfortable shoe.

Great Shoe--so light!
February 11, 2006
Love the shoes--great traction, light, and stylish. Now looking for a matching black pair.
Didn't know what my feet have been missing for 66 years.

Feels like a sturdy athletic shoe for everyday use. Cushiony, supportive and substantial. Good looking plus easy on/off due to only two eyelets. Just got a second pair and plan to get every color. All my others go to charity.

Comfortable shoe for odd feet
March 10, 2012
I have had several pairs of this same shoe over the last few years and I keep coming back for more. It is hard to find a shoe that is a good fit for my feet and this is definitely the best fitting shoe I have ever found. It provides good support and is durable and long lasting.

mr. flat-foot is very happy with this shoe!
April 03, 2011
I severely rolled my ankle in another less supportive pair of shoes, which wrecked hiking plans for a month last summer. That fired my continuing search for comfortable, good-looking casual shoes with good support for flat feet. This shoe is it. It's wide, with a firm sole. Probably not a hot weather shoe, but I live on the coast (where 'hot' is 68-degrees). The shoe is very comfortable -- I walk back and forth between buildings all day. Never once a hint of rolling my ankle. I will buy this shoe again!

Keen shoes are on of the few that fits well from the first day. Bought them for a trip to Holland and enjoyed them tramping around Amsterdam. No sore feet.
Pros: comfortable, no breakin timeLight but good
January 19, 2006
Very comfortable insoles; a surprisingly light shoe for being leather. That will take some getting used to for me; at first blush they don't feel as "substantial" as some other daily shoes (my leather Eccos for example), but time will show if they prove out durable and just fine. The sizing is a bit iffy...I went up a half size in these, to the size I often wear in adidas and NB running shoes or the like, and to be honest, I almost could go another 1/2 size up even. These definitely run short. That said, I have duck-ish feet: narrow heel, wider forefoot, so unfortunately when I get shoes that fit lengthwise, my heel sloshes all around unless there is decent padding in the heel (unlike most dress type shoes). So, I could go up another 1/2 size for length in these, but I think I'd have the heel problem, especially in this wallaby design with few eyelets to cinch down. Anyway, all feet are different, but same old problem for me, so thought I'd mention it here in case other duck-feeted folk are reading. Comfy and sharp looking shoes IMO though.
comfortable, stylist and functional

This shoe is my new 'standard issue'. It's comfortable, has a great casual look and can be worn all day without foot fatigue. It gets a 5 star rating on my list.
GRREAT!!!

These shoes are all around great. They are built like a tank, and the comfort is superb. The fit is the size that you would wear in a Nike or Adidas. I am going to also buy the Bison color as well.
Awesome
