Pyrenees .. another great Keen boot
I wasn't surprised by these new Keen Pyrenees boots because they are Keen's, which means virtually zero break-in time, extremely comfortable and roomy toe box, and their anatomical footbed makes walking in them for hours seem like a breeze in the park. What I was surprised about was how light these leather boots were which I found to be a plus. I haven't taken them for a proper trail hike but I have worn them for many days on long "city hikes" with a pair of medium weight wool socks and could not find any faults. My only minor gripe would be that I could not tighten the laces up too much (like I normally would with other boots) because after a while the top of the tongue would dig in slightly to the upper part of my instep. But this was easily resolved my taking a few extra minutes to find that right level of lacing which is why it's only a very minor gripe.
As with all other Keen boots and shoes I recommend a half size larger when ordering. I normally wear 9.5 shoe but a 10 is perfect for Keen's. I purchased these in black they are a nice rich dark black leather.

Amazing boots!
This is a great boot.Typically, Keen is a soft sole boot, but Men's Pyrenees Hiking Boot is a hard sole boots, tired even prolonged walking.Also comfort.

Best Boots
I am a huge fan of Keens. My husband needed a new pair of hiking boots but I was nervous about buying these without him trying them on. After reading the reviews though, I took a chance. They fit perfectly (did order up a half size). Hardly any breaking in was necessary. He likes them so much that he wears them to work as well. They arrived very quickly and using Paypal made it all so convenient.

Keen Pyrenees Men's Hiking Boots
These boots were comfortable on my feet straight out of the box. I have not hiked in these boots yet but I am confident that the will do great. I am 69 years old and have been hiking since I joined the Boy Scouts in 1952. These boots feel better on my feet than any that I remember having. I have to wear prescription inserts in my shoes and boots.I usually go backpacking with two of my sons and with our Boy Scout Troop several times a year. We usually go on the Appalachian Trail. We usually go for 2 or 3 days each time. I will definitely give the boots a good test for durability and waterproofness.

Great boots!
These boots were great straight from the box. They were extremely comfortable the first time I put them on, which is very important for any boot. I'm in landscaping and maintenance, so I'm on my feet nearly all day. If you have ever owned a pair of Keen shoes, just order your normal size and you will be pleased with the fit. I wear them for casual occasions, while at work, and for light hikes. So far I have been extremely pleased with the Pyrenees boots.

1/2 size to small
This is a great boot and very well made just a little to small. I bought a size 13 reg width and wish they had 13.5. If I wher I would go to a store and try on a pair then come back to this site and buy them here cheap.

Defective Tongue
I can not really say much about the shoe for I only wore it for an hour and I noticed that the right shoe had a defect in the tongue where it did not fold right at the ankle, but instead caused much discomfort. So I had to send them back!

Great traction and support...
These boots are great for hiking, working and playing. I have had them in a little water with no ill effects. Great support around the ankles. The price is great for such a quality boot.

Couldn't be happier!
These are quality boots - incredibly durable, but at the same time comfortable. Even after the first wear, I couldn't believe how good my feet felt after a long hike. They are also exceptionally breathable for waterproof boots and they even look good enough to wear under jeans around town. I can't say enough about them...I'm so happy with my purchase!

Just what I was looking for
The discription of these boots were right on. I couldn't get over how comfortable they were when I first put them on. I'm very hard on boots and believe me a good pair of boots are hard to find. Good job Keen!

Great purchase!
I bought these boots for my husband. He took them on our ski trip to Utah and loved them! Perfect with jeans and cargo-type pants w/ sweater, looked great out to dinner and just hanging out. They are very durable and versatile....a great purchase!

Foot heaven
I have taught high school English for over 30 years and am on my feet constantly. My feet were happy when I found Keen Voyageurs two years ago. I wore them daily until they finally wore out. I wanted to try something different and found the Keen Pyrenees. My feet went from being happy to being in heaven. The fit is wonderful - no pinching, no hot spots, and no break-in. The arch and ankle support is delightful - a major plus when you have arthritis in your feet. They are lightweight. Even after having them on for 10 hours my feet and legs complain only when I take them off and switch to other shoes. Because they are waterproof, I don't have to worry about the weather. I can also go from tiled concrete floors to a hiking trail without breaking stride. I could not ask for anything more in a shoe. I have already talked one other teacher in purchasing a pair of Pyrenees and am looking for additional converts.

I find Keen boots always comfortable. I own 3 pairs. Get 1/2 size larger than you are. These boots were very after comfortable after the first week. The Keen dry is great. I walk in the wood every day and these boots are always warm and dry. These boots are a little stiffer than my Bandon boots which is good.

Men's Pyrenees
This boot is very light and extremely comfortable. There was a very short break in period, and after that, the boot was like an extension of my foot. I hiked in Upstate New York and wore them in blizzard conditions, in N.Y.C. These boots handled both equally well. If you have a wide foot, like me ,these are your boots.

Dog Walker
I know these are men's boots but due to my wide feet, the guy at the Walking Store said that I would do better to purchase Keen men's. I Love these boots! I am a Professional Pet Sitter which means I walk a lot of dogs! These boots are so comfy with great arch support and keep my feet warm and dry. I am definitely going to buy a second pair to keep for future use.

Amazing!...
From the trail to the street, Keen`s Pyrenees is truely amazing! Comfortable doesn`t describe the way this hiking boot feels. Keen foot bed, what else can I say...I just bought my second pair! I highly recommend this boot! Get your normal Keen size. It WILL be your NEW FAVORITE!!

Soles cannot handle rugged, off trail hiking!
After only 3 months of wearing this boot the soles began to shred and fall apart. While the boot is comfortable and light, these features do not seem all that impressive when your soles begin to break down so quickly. If you intend to use these boots for light weight hiking only every once in a while then they may be the right boot for you. But if you intend to actually use these hiking boots for off trail hiking, extended trips, and/or in rugged terrain, then I suggest you find another boot (but stick to Keen, still the best company around despite this one snafu). So for all you city folks which call a walk in the city park a hike....these are great. For those of you like me who have spent a few years worth of their life living out of a pack exploring the remote corners of the world, spend a little more and be happier in the end.

good looking traditional boot

Waterproof.
These boots are great for sloshing through the snow, rain, and mud. Got them for mud season and are doing great so far. Really lightweight, solid sole.

Wonderful supportive boots
Other Keen shoes have provided me with perfect comfort, and the Keen Pyrenees boots proved no exception. I injured my ankle recently and hoped that these boots would help me get out and about sooner than I expected. They succeeded wonderfully, giving me great ankle support. And they look good too!

Nice boot
The syrup color originally pictured was different from what I received. The current picture is accurate. These boots are typical Keen. A very nice fit and a good looking boot. I have been out on several day hikes with them and they are very comfortable. My only complaint is the tongue comes even with the top of the boot. This leaves almost no room for the shoelace to stay on top of the tongue. Look closely at the picture and you can see what I mean. (This is reason I didn't give a 5 star rating) Don't let this one small complaint keep you from buying these boots. I really like the syrup color, it is different from most boots. I have other Keens and they are all size 11's. This boot runs true to size with all my other Keens. This boot also has a really nice, comfortable leather lining above the ankle.

This is by far the best boot I've owned. I will stick with these for as long as they make them. Comfort and fit is excellent.

Great Boot, Fast Delivery, As Advertised
I really like my Keen Pyrenees. I have used them in wet conditions and my feet stay dry and warm. Very comfortable for a boot.

Great boot, best price, prompt delivery.
I'm a Keen fan and Altrec was one of the few stores that carried this boot. Altrec had the best price so I ordered the Pyrenees. Altrec delivered the boot on time. As with my previous Keens, the Pyrenees is comfortable with a large toe box. The boot has substantial treads that shield the foot from stones and other protrusions. I have yet to to test the boots in wet conditions or long hikes but I am confident in the boot's performance.
