Appropriate for just about anywhere, the Keen Men's Richmond Shoe features a waterproof leather upper that not only weathers excursions on rain soaked streets, but it also looks good at the office. Underfoot a compression molded midsole with torsion stability shank provides a stable, cushioned ride if forced to run when an unexpected rain shower hits. The Keen Richmond Shoe for men includes a non-marking outsole with a tread pattern that's ideally suited for the urban jungle and suburban sidewalks. And it just wouldn't be a Keen without the distinctive toe bumper that cushions the blow of unseen obstructions more often than you would think.

As others have said, they are great right out of the box. This is my second pair of Keens. Only this time, I got the right size! I could wear these all day... Hope they hold up in the rain!

They redesigned the Richmond. I usually hate when companies do that to a shoe that I love, but this is actually an improvement. The tread is different, seems more like a running shoe. Whatever else they did, it was more comfortable out of the box without the break in time.

These are comfortable, great looking shoes that work with jeans or casual pants. You can wear then easily all day as they have a great fit and feel.

This is my third pair of Keen shoes. I went with the black this time since the toe bumper blends in with the color of the shoe. Very comfortable shoe and great service from Altrec.com!

The Keen Richmond is a sure fit for almost any foot. It is comfortablly snug and supporting around the heel and arch yet with the wide toe box it allows for wriggle room for your toes. This shoe is probably the most comfortable shoe I've ever worn out of the box . It is rugged and sharp, ready to be your next best shoe.

I confess I've become kind of a Keenaholic. I hike and paddle in Keen's and now I can go to work in them as well. The fit is excellent -- the wide toe box is great. The Richmond is generally dressy enough for my work and amazingly comfortable.

I bought this shoe because I needed a style with more room in the toe box, but was also stylish enough for a business casual environment. This one fit the bill. I bought this Richmond shoe because I liked the look and it is a good fit for Bend. I liked the shoe so I ordered another pair, because 'it might not be there tomorrow' thought process. I have worn Keens for a few years because of the strong last. I also wear a custom made pair of orthopedics in my shoe. Keens fit the bill for me. I received my shoes within days after ordering. We all like the 'instant' click satisfication and Altrec delivers 100%. Besides, they are good and Redmond is only 13 miles north of Bend.

I purchased this shoe mostly for work. I am a server & constantly on the move while working. The Richmond looks nice & once broken in is a very comfortable shoe. The only downsides are that it could use a bit more padding around the lip of the shoe. & it wasn't available for wide feet. If your foot is a bit wider it takes a little longer to break it in. Overall though I am satisfied.

My PREVIOUS pair of Keen street shoes lasted 4 (four) years--I am a freak wearing shoes that long, but they were great! Yes, after 4 years the soles and top stitching wore thin, as expected. I have also happily gone through two pairs of their Newport sandals. What brought me back to Keen street shoes again was the memory of total comfort from the first minute I put on that original pair. NOT true with the Richmond.
Yes the quality seems to be there: solid stitching, excellent grip to the soles, strong laces and eyes. But the Richmond lacks the comfy padding around the ankle that my old Keens had. The new ones are definitely lacking padding here. This causes a feeling of pinching around the lower ankles, and especially at the back of the foot. Also, the anatomical footbed insert is a harder rubber-like material that does not breathe and is not soothing or comfortable. Also, the new insole is not molded to the natural curvy shape of the foot--the old Keens were that way straight from factory! My feet are tired after half a day, while the old ones gave me an extra long day of comfort. Also, while I thought waterproof shoes would be a plus, I am realizing that they breathe less, and my feet are getting awfully hot in there, and it's not even summer yet. Why have a waterproof, low-profile shoe? ...the biggest leak is the hole in the top! :)
The old Keens: heaven from day one. The new ones: disappointment from day one. The Richmond still gets "above average" because it's better than any pair of typical Sketcher-type shoe, but no way is it "great." I used to think I could order any size 11 Keens and be good to go; now I realize I must try them on first. No more internet shoe shopping for me!

I thought they would be better. Good fit except they keep giving me blisters just above the heel. Maybe I can break them in with more wear.
