These shoes rock!
I'm new to biking and had been looking for shoes that I could afford for months. I have been a huge Keen fan for along time and was blown away that they made a bike shoe. I'm thrilled! They fit perfectly and will continue to recommend them.

My two cents.
Arrived promptly double-boxed in good condition. Style/appearance- very cool in dark-grey color with black trim and yellow accent. Comfort/fit- feels like a slightly stiff regular street shoe or light-hiker. 3 adjustable velcro straps are easy to use. Stiffness- not the most rigid shank, but does a decent job transferring pedal power. Uppers- appear well made keeping the dust, dirt and water out. Warmth- my feet did not get too hot or too cold on a late Fall day here in western Colorado. Weight- comparable to what's out there.

Lovin' my Keens
This is my first pair of bike shoes. I commute to work on my mountain bike 10 miles each way and decided it was time to get some shoes to help w/ the hills, efficiency etc.
I looked at lots of shoes in stores and online, but you can't go wrong with Keen, so I went with Keen.
Other reviews said these tend to run 1/2 size too big - this was NOT true for me. I wear a UK 8, US 9 and so I ordered the 9.5 - but Keens are generally bigger than other shoes and I had a full finger of space between my heal and the back of the shoe. I returned them and got the 9 instead - MUCH better!
Installing the cleats was a cinch, it was learning to ride w/ them that took me a while. I like these shoes a lot and would recommend them.

Great shoes as expected!
I ride mountain bikes an beach cruisers for a hobby. I bought the shoes mainly for my obsession for with my nightly spin class at my gym. I have used them about four times now and they work great. A little tough to get used to if you have never owned clip in shoes but worth the investment. The fit was true with no break-in required for comfort. I own a couple of pairs of Keen shoes for kayaking and various other outdoor activities and again I was impressed with the brand as I always am. They were made to use and last under any condition you put them in. I am a Keen fan and will remain so without question.

Keen shoes
Very comfortable, well built mtn bike shoe. Walks like a shoe but rides great. good grip on slippery surfaces. Holds heel in place and actually comes with a decent foot bed.

Outstanding
I love my Keen Springwaters. As a bicycle patrol officer, my footwear is very important to me. The Springwater shoe allows me the flexibility and comfort I need, working on and off my bike.
Energy is efficiently transfered into my pedals via the rigid lower of the shoe, while my feet are kept well cushioned and cool by the inside. I would recommend them to anyone in need of a versatile bike shoe.
I do, however, wish that they came in all black. That would place them as the PERFECT bike patrol shoe.

happy feet
Bought these cycling shoes for the spin class I attend, was very happy with the fit and that I can go from the street to class with-out having to change my foot wear. I also like ALTREC return and warranty policy.

excellent cycling shoe
Bought these shoes for indoor cycling classes that I take 2-3 times a week at the Y, primarily because I own a pair of Keen sandals with which I'm very pleased. After only 2 weeks, I can already tell that these cycling shoes will be equally satisfying. The shoes are very comfortable, easy to put on, & easy to take off. Ventilation is great, reducing the amount my feet sweat during class & improving drying time. Performance & feel while cycling is great, too. Highly recommended.

Good shoes, but not the normal Keen fit
I have many pairs of Keens because I have a wider-than-normal forefoot which fits perfectly in all my other pairs of Keens. Unfortunately, the Keen Springwater do not fit the same as other keens. It is much narrower, and oddly feels like it comes to a point at the toes. It's much too bad because I really wanted them to work out. I returned the shoes and found a brand called Lake which makes cycling shoes in EE width which fits my feet perfectly.

Very happy
I bought a pair of these for a five day tour last summer. Since then I have also used them as my perfered shoe for my daily bicycle commute and also mountain bike rides. They are very comfortable, stiffness is perfect compromise for walking/riding and they have held up well. Velco straps make tightening while riding a snap.

Great Keen Fit!
The fit is perfect except for the left shoe toe box. The signature Keen rubber toe is depressed down and pushes / rubs on my big left toe. I plan to return them for the same size. I have never had this issue with Keen's before and am sure it is a one off issue. Other than that this shoe is exactly as I expected - fits great from a length and width perspective and looks great.

Seemingly the Best Cycle Touring Shoe Out There!
Cycle touring, more than any other type of cycling, dictates that clipless pedal shoes be equally comfortable on and off the bike. It helps too that they kinda look like casual shoes for when cavorting around town. These Springwaters seem robust and have already lasted twice as long as the Cannondales they replaced.

Very good shoe
Over all this is a very well made and comfortable shoe and worth the money. It does run a half size smaller; I usually wear a 9.5 but had to return for a size 10. The best part is that I can replace the inner foot pad with my orthotic.

Great shoes!
Keen makes a great cycling shoe. I ride in all kinds of weather and these shoes keep my feet warm and dry. They have ample toe room, which has kept my toes from falling asleep as they have done in some road shoes. I agree that they do feel heavy in the box, but I haven't noticed the weight when I ride.

Lives up to Keen quality
I have been cycling with LOOK compatible shoes for years; a purchase of a new bike changed me to SPD compatible. In preparation for major touring next summer I researched many SPD shoes and decided on the Keen Springwater for two reasons: Keen street shoes are perfect for my feet; though I ride a road bike the Springwater's aggressive tread would better meet my touring needs. The shoes fit well, though my heel can slip a bit if the straps are not tightly secured. Ventilation is adequate but not excessive. The shoes feel heavy out of the box but once clipped in and spinning they feel more comfortable than any cycling shoe I've used in the past. If you've had a positive experience with other Keen shoes you'll love these.

Good pair of shoes.
I don't have a ton of experience with biking shoes, but I really like these. They are easy to put on and take off and the stiff soles seem to be well suited for mountain biking. I like them.

Runs Small
An exceptionally well contructed bicycle touring shoe. Looks almost completely waterproof too. Velcro staps keep laces away from chain rings and bottle cages. The 11.5 fits more like an 11, so I am exchanging it for a half size larger.

Nice
A good shoe for the money. I just bought this pair to bike in. I like the ease of putting these puppies on my feet. Overall, these fits well but the sole is stiff and may cause fatigue when hiking.
