excellent, but a bit hard to fit
These fit quite small for me. I settled on a 10 for the proper length, (I usually wear a 10.5 or 11) but because the insole is so thick I could only wear them sans socks - and even then they fit very snugly. So I removed the insoles and put in a thin leather insole and they fits perfectly now. These are very tough, and look great. I am currently wearing them in the snow with socks. Awesome product.

Buy a pair now before they change the design!
I have always hated wearing sandals because of my fear of stubbed toes/scraped heals and what you might be stepping in from some of our canine friends. But I have found sneakers swealtering because my feet always run hot and sweaty. Keen Taos shoes come to the rescue with a cross-over sneaker/sandal with awesome comfort, sturdy construction, the same "flow through ventilation" as is seen on my bicycle helmet. Finally my "dogs" feel great even on the hot days of summer. Worn with or without socks And no stubbed toes or heel scrapes! And if they get dirty, they really are "wash and wear". My only concern is the price. But Altrec offers the lowest price on the net.

great fitting sandal/shoe
Wanted a sandal to protect my toes. This sandal fit perfectly right out of the box. The bungee style tie in front makes snugging the shoe a snap. The craftsmanship is second to none and I anticipate a long relationship with these great shoes.

Great comfortable hiking sandals
I recently purchased these hiking sandals before making a trip to the Grand Canyon. I found the sandals to be very comfortable and suitable for the conditions at the Canyon.

Great Hybrid Sandal!
Just purchased this sandals, were comfortable right out of the box! I was impressed with a sandal that is designed to handle trails as well a walk along a stream. Will be taking a trip to Istria, Croatia and German and can't wait to try them there! Keen has done out side of the box thinking with all their sandals. This is my second style of Keen!

You must have these!
Wow, what a shoe. These shoes are so comfortable. They are like a swiss army knife for your feet. They are cool and comfortable. Best of all they have a great sole for trail use. The sole is also non-marking which keeps me out of trouble when I slip them on for a quick errand or two. I have a wide foot and got a great fit by moving up a half size.

almost perfect
These have been very comfortable. I have pretty wide feet and these are great for hiking,except, and this is a big except they will almost come off your feet if you are sidehilling on boulders. The elasic laces keep these from being perfect.

Good Buy!
Only drawback is that interior stitching is coarse and can cause irritation if laced tightly and worn without socks.

Good all-rounder
Great for climbing in the mud, I was the only one who didn't fall over while traming in the rain in Vietnam! Only one problem is that there is some part of the shoe that rubs on the side of one of my toes....may need to get new toes.

Excellent Athletic Shoe
This shoe is very comfortable and capable of street use as well as off road. These are the Land Rover of shoes. Keen makes the best sandals on the planet. Their sizes run very true to size. These are my 7th pair of Keen footwear.

A little sweaty for a sandal but fairly comfortable
For a sandal these don't really breathe all that well. My feet don't normally get hot or even sweaty but unless it is pretty cool out these things make them sweat. All the reviews I read said these are cool and comfortable. I'll second the comfortable part but the cool part? I am not convinced.

Not their best sandal
This is my 4th pair of Keen's. I picked up these to replace my worn out newports - from excessive use, not poor craftmanship. The other Keens I have are go to footwear for all kinds of activities from fly fishing to park strolling. Within 15 minutes of my first steps in the Taos sandals, bad blisters on both heels. No other Keen's have had this affect. I sent an email to their customer service and the summary was - all feet are different. Keen makes great sandals, but I'd recommend you go for a casual walk before you do any serious trekking in them just to be sure.

Didn't fit my foot
I have several styles of Keen's sandals, and so far this is the only one that was uncomfortable. The heel stitching tore me up after a leisurely walk at a summer festival. Styling gets high marks, fit gets high marks, but again for my foot, I'm sticking with my other Keens.
