Exceeded expectations
Great shoe, either hiking through the woods or shopping at the malls. Very comfortable, no fatique, and built like a tank. Better fit than similar shoes in Merrells. Great quality shoe overall.

These shoes for my husband were exactly what he wanted and they arrived promptly. The waterproofing and breathability is good. The price was below what I saw at a store.

quick trip out
These shoes seem to be durable & dry,but I do not think they would be comfortable for all day wear for hiking or walking. They slip up & down on your heel & I believe would cause a blister if worn all day in extreme hiking conditions. I would recommend these for keeping by the door for quick trips out in bad weather when you don't want to take the time to lace up a REAL pair of boots. They are really just an extra expensive pair of crocs.

Men's Targhee II Shoe
Read many reviews on these shoes and also have a friend who wears them. Ordered a half size larger than my regular which was recommended. The shoes are well made and have an interesting overall design. Wore them around the house for three days and found that the larger size was right but the heel of the shoe runs larger so I had too much slippage which outdoors on a hike would lead to blisters. Even heavier socks didn't help. Additionally, these shoes made my feet overheat because they're waterproof. Consider purchasing these shoes only after sufficient homework is done.

Nice hiker for wider feet
These are nice waterproof hikers, or everyday shoes for people with wide feet. Just beware that the heel may seem a little loose on some people because of the wider front section. Usually you just have to tie them fairly tight and it's not too much of a problem.

Targhee II
Keen does it again, with the Targhee II. These shoes are super comfortable, if you have a wider foot, like me. They are also, absolutely waterproof. I've worn them in several downpours, and they've stood up to every challenge. Like all Keen shoes, they are very durable too. These shoes, will fit the bill, in both urban and mountain terrain.

Another Great Pair Of Keens
As usual, Keens fit true straight out of the box. Four different pairs of Keens, four same sizes, and they all have fit perfectly. The shoe offers great support as a hiker, but also works and looks great for everyday city use.

Great, long-lasting shoe
Another great product by Keen- these shoes are very durable, waterproof, breathable and ideal for hiking the trails around Central Oregon. They take a couple hikes to break in but are well worth the blisters.

Great Product
As always Keen quality right out of the box. As soon as I put these on they felt broke in and ready for a full day walking. Great fit, I went 1/2 size bigger than normal shoe and they fit great.

all I had hoped for
I have become a real fan of Keen shoes. Sizing, seem to need to go for a half size bigger most times, watch the reviews. These Targhees are a great outdoor work shoe. Great traction and very comfortable. My orthotics fit great, pull out the factory one or what I have taken to doing is cut Keen's insole in half and leave the heel part in, that way I still have enough room for my orthotic and my toes inside the shoe. Very happy with these shoes!!

What you would expect from Keen
A great pair of shoes. I've had them for about a year, and they're my go to footwear. As with all Keens, some people will have a negative reaction to the style - but those types generally don't mix with Keen enthusiasts anyway. These will keep your feet dry, and they fit well. Some complain of heel slippage. I fixed this by carefully securing the band that goes around the heel, and now my foot stays down in the cup. A little heavy, but a good buy nonetheless.

Already owned the mid of the same shoe and was looking for a comfy daytime trail style shoe. Knew I couldn't go wrong with something quality from Keen. Only negative was probably a one-off, but the interior top lining near the big toe on one shoe was "wrinkled." I has a big crease and I'm hoping it flattens out with my toe up against it.
Otherwise great - fits true to size.

Surprisingly good shoe
My last pair of low cut hiking shoes were Timberline. They were quite soft and comfortable but wore out cushionwise in 12 month These Keen shoes are slightly less flexible but are surprizingly comfy shoes. The cushion is somewhat stiffer but I like the end result. They do seem about a half size small and I am thankful for the next size up advice. I look forward to the first hike outside the asphalt jungle!

Men's Targhee II Shoe
Needed a durable shoe with a good arch support and this pair of Keen's is great. Smart looking, long lasting, waterproof and breathable. This is my second pair from Altrech.com and I will be back when I need others. It was recommended to get a half size larger than your regular shoe size for Keen's, I did, my fit is perfect.

Fit not right
I bought these shoes as an adjunct to my Targhee II mid boots -- seeking quality Keen low-tops for day hikes and just getting around. I keep about a half dozen Keens at any one time and appreciate their wide toe box (good for the arthritis in my big toes) and durable design. I'm 5'10" 165 lbs. with wide feet and high instep. I found that the laces tied too far down my instep, and consequently the heel tended to slide out. It's possible that I bought a size too large, but I bought my usual size for Keens.

Best Hiking Shoes
Just ordered my seventh pair of Keen's Targhee II for Men.
Great arch and foot support. Grips all kinds of terrain with authority.
The most comfortable hiking shoes I have ever worn. Buy 1/2 size larger than usual.

Great shoes but couldn't find a fit
I love the look of these shoes, but I must be between sizes. My normal shoe size is an 8, but my toes rubbed in the front of an 8. I went to an 8-1/2 and the heel slipped. Ended up having to return both pairs.
As I said, I loved the look but couldn't find the fit.

Very comfortable
i like the design and construction. It is a very comfortable shoe. I have a high arch which usually makes me buy a wide size. I didn't buy a wide shoe this time, taking a chance, and I'm still not sure if it was a wise choice. There is no give in the material and it is tight around the arch. For those that have a high arch you may want to get this shoe in a wide size. Overall excellent shoe.

Love Em
These shoes are great. I have used them multiple times on short hikes and they work great. Very sturdy and stable. They are low tops but my ankles feel stable. Very comfortable and look good. Also fairly lightweight.

Very comfy shoes, It has many features: waterproof, breathable, tough, comfortable, Most of all, it fits my feet very well. Of course, it 's a classic one in Keen shoes and has a high quality. Although as for me, the appearance looks not very stylish, I am still satisfied with it.

Extremely Comfortable!
Purchased for hiking/ working. Spend up to 12 hours a day where these at work with no discomfort!

Keen Targhee II simply the best
This is my fourth pair of Targhees. It's getting so I don't want to wear anything else. I put on my Smartwool socks, Keen Targhees and my feet are comfortable for the rest of the day whether I'm hiking, hunting or just trekking the mall.

Great Shoes
Comfort right out of the box Shoe strings come loose from time to time but you can't beat the walking comfort and wide front for your feet. Walking in washed out gutters in a storm left my feet dry very waterproof.
Would buy again in a heartbeat

GREAT LIGHT BOOT
These hiking shoes feel great right out of the box. No break in period. Nice light weight shoe with good traction. I may never buy another brand of shoe. Has normal fit for me, same as I always wear. I love the way they mold to my foots shape so when I put them on it is like meeting an old friend. I haven't gotten wet yet bet have always been impressed when KEEN says WP.

Great Shoes
I work in a greenhouse & the Keen shoe is great. Its completly waterproof & helps my feet greatly. GREAT SHOE. I would recommend to any one that works outdoors. Also it's a good walking shoe.

Extremely Comfortable Shoe
This was my first pair of Keens I've owned. Normally have worn Merrills, but figured I would give the Targhee II's a try. The fit was very true to size, and the cushioned insole allows for all day comfort. I have used, in extremely wet, snowy, and ice conditions, and the sole provided very stable traction. My feet stayed comfortable outdoors and did not overheat when indoors.
They, also kept my feet dry in relatively extreme condition.
I would recommend. The only drawback was that the tongue was not connected on sides (webbed) which would have increased the waterproof capability to the top of the shoe, in addition to the sides, front and back

Great Shoes!
This is my 4th pair of this same shoe from Keen!
I wear them every day to work and to play. Love the waterproof design, especially in our Northern Michigan climate.
The last two pairs I've thrown in the washer to get extended life out of too. Both of those pairs have now finally come apart around the left toe area so I purchased this latest pair "on sale" and I'm back in business again!

Great Shoe
This is my third pair of Keens and I remain a big fan. I was looking for a waterproof hiker that I could comfortably wear often. I work outdoors and keeping my feet dry and comfortable is very important to me. This is a great product.

Great pair of shoes
I recently bought a pair of mid-Targhee II's to fill a niche in my winter wardrobe, and liked them so well I decided "upgrade" my everyday hiking shoes. I love the way they fit and provide arch support. I actually love the way they look too.

Keen - Targhee II
This is my third pair of Keen shoes. I just love their style & Fit.
Wife and I have hiked all over south America while wearing our Keen shoes without problems. I even love the keen sandal which I take on scuba trips around the Caribbean...Make sure you buy a half size bigger they run small. Enjoy ;)

Ordering a second pair!
My first Keen introduction came when I bought the sandle style shoes several years ago. I loved them then and today, they're just as good and still in perfect shape, amazing considering how much I wear them. So I wanted a more winter style that had the same great look and comfort. I ordered the Targhee II. The moment I took them from the box and put them on my feet, they were amazingly comfortable and very cushiony. Unlike most new pairs of shoes that require a breaking in period before they feel good, these were instantly comfortable. It's been a long time since I can remember getting a pair out of the box that felt this good. In addition, I love the look. Going to order another pair just to have on standby!

good product but not for me
Altrec has five star service. Shoe fits to size but the heel area is wide for me. Tried tieing tighter only to hurt the tops of my feet. Love my Keen sandles but will return to Merrell shoes.

Keen Targhee II great all weather hiking shoe
This is the 2nd pair of Targhee II that I've purchased. This shoe is an excellent all weather winter hiker. I have a siberian husky and we spend 2-3 days per week in the woods on 3-4 mi hikes and this shoe is the best that i've found for rain, wet, & cold conditions. The only downside to this shoe is its a little heavy and not real nimble i.e. not for trail running. Also lacks a bit when on ice & slippery hard pack. I got 3 seasons out of my last pair - i hope to get the same with these

great hiker
I bought this shoe a 1/2 size larger than normal & they fit great. Break in period was wearing them about 5 times, quick. This is a great everyday shoe in the rocky mountains & great for light hiking around here.

Love my Keens
That was fast! My Keen Targhee ll hiking shoes shoes showed up extra promptly. I like plenty of space in the toe box of my hiking shoes. That is why i have been wearing Keens for years now. They are one of the few brands that shapes their shoes to fit the human foot rather than making the foot fit the shape of the shoe. I'm really glad to have found Altrec. You guys have a great variety of gear and have great deals on stuff. I'll be back...

Men's Targhee II
I ordered these for my boyfriend for Christmas, who has recently moved from the Detroit area to Northern Michigan. He has been very stubborn when it comes to investing in "gear" for Northern Michigan conditions. I own several pairs of Keens and knew that if he just TRIED them he would be converted, and I was right. He put them on and finally admitted that they were the most comfortable pair of shoes he had ever worn, and that now he understands why I own so many of them. The size runs true, they are very supportive, and fit his high arch well. He's already looking at casual pairs of Keens to order.

Bombproof
What can I say, these shoes are bombproof all-rounders. As with all the Keen's I own, they are well-constructed, well-designed and durable. I am three years into my daily-wear Targhee II's, and they are only still going strong. The other pair that I bought because I love these so much and didn't want them to discontinue 'em on me, are still new in the box! I wear them to workout in, hike, walk around town, etc. They do everything well. They DO run small, so order a 1/2 size up.

2nd pair four years later.
Excellent all around shoe. Confortable for city streets, light trail walking, and the back yard. I used the first pair 2 to 3 days a week for 4 years. I finally wore the soles down, and needed to replace them. I have at least 7 other shoes, but I still wanted a pair of the Keene Targhee II's in my closet.
I purchased a 1/2 size up from the first pair. Experience with the first pair taught me that these shoes run a little small on the sizing. These shoes are easy to clean, and can serve as a casual work shoe or a work horse. Good support.

Classic Keens
This is my seventh pair of Keens, ranging from the original sandals to casual dress shoes. The Targhee II's are classic Keens in their design and fit. Very stable on the trail, great lugging for wet or slick conditions, waterproof and warm. They are a little clunky in appearance, balanced though with great fit and durability. Sufficient cushion and arch support. I do a lot of medium difficulty hiking and these are my shoe of choice for all conditions. Keens are quite simply the best!

Best shoes I have ever owned
I have owned these shoes for four years and there still water proof. I buy new shoes thinking I want a change to newer better version and I always pull these shoes back out of the closet. No question you can't go wrong, ever, buying keen products. The size is true to fit.

Like most keen shoe the quality is second to none..I wear these shoes during the winter and the colder months of the year because they r water proof and they tend to keep your feet rather warm.

Great Purchase
This a great shoe, I have had it for about a month. I have a wide foot and it is a great fit. This shoe runs true to size and has great support. I would reccomend this shoe to anyone that enjoys hiking or walking. I hike/walk 4 to 5 miles a day and this shoe has held up great.

Good shoe
I find this shoe to be pretty comfortable, although a bit wide(loose) in the heel. I bought my regular size 10, I take a 10 in any shoe I wear and this fit me well with the keen's. I would definitely recommend this shoe to everyone.

sturdy, strong and steady
All-weather light weight foot comfort with great looks and performance. Already a happy wearer of many Keen shoes the Targhee's are serious foot-gear that compliment their other syles. Seems like a 30 minute warm-up settles your feet in with simple adjustments of the lacing across top of arch for maximum comfort. Definitely chose a 1/2 size larger with light hiking and full size up with heavy hiking socks. Rain or shine you'll enjoy these shoes.

Excellent shoe
I wear these for work... I do painting and carpentry. Prior to discovering Keene shoes I would go through a pair of shoes in under six months. Now, I can get through a year and no problems with foot pain, etc. The shoes are comfortable, give great support, and have superior traction when needed.

Great Quality-Check the fit.
I ordered the Keen Targhee II because I've had great success with Keen shoes previously. These shoes fit true to size, and are comfortable. I'm 5'7" and medium build, but I have some foot problems. Keen shoes are great for me because they provide a lot of cushioning, and still support my foot when hiking and walking. They offer plenty of traction, and behave well when on uneven terrain. I've worn them vigorously for the 1st week I've had them, and these appear to be well built. The only thing I don't like about these shoes: the heel feels a bit loose. There is no way to tighten it up either.
Overall, I recommend the Keen Targhee II. I would buy again.

Great for wide feet!
These shoes are great for anyone with wide feet. I tried on a variety of other hiking shoes which were all too narrow. Very comfortable and great on the trail.

try on before you buy to get best deal
I purchased these shoes for my husband as a gift. He is totally addicted to Keen shoes. Other reviews said to purchase a size up if you are in between sizes. We did, and they were too big for his narrow heel. We went to a local shoe store to try on other sizes, and for him, he was more true to size on this model of Keen. We plan on ordering again, but just trying on the shoe else where and then ordering though Altrec to get the best deal.

Good Shoe
I love my Keens. I work in the marine industry and wear Keens every day. I am happy with these shoes. They seem to run a little smaller than other Keens, and I have the same complaint listed in another post. My heel won't stay in the heel cup. Otherwise good shoe at a fair price.

Great in all areas except....
I love Keen, I have worn my Gunnison's everywhere and am now keeping them alive with Gorilla glue and stitches, so I thought I would like the Targhee II, and I did....except for the heal. No matter how tight I laced them my heel would not stay in the heel cup. I tried a variety of socks from my normal Smartwool hikers to athletic socks, my heel came up and out with every step. Other than that, the shoes were comfortable and built like tanks. Suffice it to say I made use of ALtrec's return policy (which is great) and am looking through their other shoes to see what might fill my light hike needs. I'm sure these would be great for people who's foot fit the shoe, but mine didn't (and I don't have narrow heels). Give them a try, if they work they will be your favs.

Best shoes available anywhere
I have worn nothing but Keens for the past few years and I would never change to another brand. I find my Keens to be comfortable, durable, and stylish enough for every event except maybe weddings and funerals!

Great--but for one feature
These are great shoes. Rugged, grippy, waterproof, good-looking. I wish, though, the tongue didn't bunch up so much around the top of the shoe. It does create a sort of bag-like effect, which is very effective for keeping out water--but the extra fabric has to go somewhere: pressing into the top of the foot. The good news is that they wear in reasonably well. I leave them a bit looser than most hiking shoes. Really, you can't go wrong with Keens.

Great shoe, weird tongue
I will start by saying I own a pair of Keen shoes and I love them. I have been looking for a Keen hiking shoe and the Targhee II that I got had a weird tongue so I returned them. I don't know if I got an older design so I will try another Keen hiking shoe. The fit of the Targhee II was very good, true to size and bent in the right place unlike some other Keens. I can see why people love the company because when you get a good design in this brand you don't want to put anything else on your feet.

Keen Targhee II Shoes
I'm a diabetic who walks a bunch. These shoes are excellent and give great support and they look great. Not hot at all. Broke in out of box. Stitching around back and side of shoe is reflective, very bright at night for safety. Highly recommended. Buy 1/2 size larger than normal, nice wide shoe. Go for it!

Awesome shoes that last!!
This is my fourth pair of keen shoes and I continue to be impressed by the shoe. I abuse my shoes and the keen shoes are the only ones that hold up.

Great day hiking shoes
Lightweight for easy trail walking. Low cut very comfortable but not suitable for ankle support on rocky trails. Great construction, I have Keen sandals too. Dry quickly when wet.

Very good shoes for hiking/working in rough terrain
The shoes fit well right out of the box, but I would order the larger size if not sure. The shank makes walking in rocky terrain comfortable. I would get the high top for heavey hiking for ankle support.
