My first Keen
May 04, 2012
This is my first pairs of Keen shoes. The design, color, and quality is unbelievable. The shoe is comfortable from the first time I wear it, and it doesn't needs a breaking period at all. As many other reviewers mentioned, go for a 1/2 size larger usual.
Pros: comfortableA Test of Quality

I've owned many pairs of Keens as they're the only brand that consistently support my flat feet, allowing me to walk and hike long distances. I recently purchased these to replace my favorite pair that unfortunately split apart at the seams. From the start the Tryon WPs seem to be better designed and built than my previous pair but not very attractive. In this case I chose function over fashion. Time will tell if these will outlast my last pair as Keen has become a very popular and mainstream brand. Hopefully mass production does not affect quality.
Pros: improved seam designGood Old Keen

I own, and love, several pairs of KEENS in varying styles. All of which I love. These shoes are great. I use them for normal daily wearing/walking, as well as trail running, and the occasional treadmill run. The fit was great for me. My size 12s fit me perfectly. I must admit that my feet do get hot/sweat sometimes if I wear them for a long time, but I do run a little hot. These shoes are comfortable and live up to KEENs quality standard, as mine show very little signs of wear after a lot of use. I took these shoes on a recent trip to Europe and trekked all over various places for 3 weeks with no problems to speak of what so ever. Definitely recommend these shoes.
Pros: comfortable, durable, stylish, good tread, functional, multi useUp to Keen standards!

I too own a variety of Keen shoes. From sandals to casual slip-ons to their mid-height hiking boots. . . and I love them all. I am excited about these trail running shoes as well. The toe box is less roomy then I expected, but I've had no problem with this design difference. These shoes provided all the comfort and stability I needed, right out of the box! The quality I've grown to expect from Keen is all there!

I highly recommend these shoes to anyone who enjoys the outdoors. They're so light weight and comfortable, possibly the best shoe I've ever owned. I actually worked all day on July 4th in them and my feet still felt great.
Disappointed

First, let me say I am a huge fan of Keen footwear. I own several pairs of shoe/boots, so when keen came out with this trail shoe I was pretty excited. I just wore them out of the box for about an hour and could not wait to get them off my feet. Very uncomfortable, narrow toe box (very surprised here), and they just hurt my feet. I am sending them back and getting another brand for trail work.
