I got this backpack for campus and it is just what I was looking for! Holds my laptop nicely in its own sleeve and has pen and pencil holders in both compartments. It is just big enough for my things without being too big. By this I mean that I can hold a couple of classes worth of stuff (2 notebooks, a book or two) with no problems. I love the padded shoulder staps, I do a lot of walking around campus with it on my back and I never feel it in my back at the end of the day! Great bag overall. I got the silver birch color and it should be noted that it is a little more gray and dull than it looks in the picture. But still lovely. If you've been looking, look no further!

I was looking for a backpack that could hold (& pad) my 15" Mac Pro and that would have plenty of room & compartments for other stuff -- whether it was for work or travel. This bag has it all. The laptop sleeve is padded and soft, but does not have a 'cover' pad -- it has a velcro strap that keeps the laptop in the sleeve. There are 2 main large zippered compartments. There are specific storage areas in the front pocket for pens. One zippered pocket in each section -- great for cables, USB keys, etc. The water bottle pockets seemed a little strange at first, but come in handy for little stuff (hair ties, granola bars, mini-umbrella) besides water. I plan to go to Hawaii soon and think this bag will be able to carry my laptop, camera, ipod, snacks, and change of clothes with no problem. I got the blue one and love the color.

My son just got this pack for his laptop and other belongings. It seems to have enough room to carry everything he wants to bring along, without being too huge for his small frame. Looks like it is very well made, and should be comfortable to wear. The only reason we didn't give it 5 stars is because of its lack of an mp3 holder/earphone port, where many other packs of this type and price range have one.
