Keen Toddlers' Sunport Sandals

These are the second pair of Keens I have bought for my daughter. Last year we bought the Keen Newports and this year we tried the Sunport sandal. We are extremely happy with the product. The price is fantastic and this is an extremely durable shoe. Also, it is a shoe that you can put on your child and feel like their toes and feet are safe when they are runnign and playing. I can't recommend these sandals enough. Go Keen!

Uncomfortable and color flakes off

These are uncomfortable on the heal and the color has flaked off of ours. My daughter does not like to wear them even though she loves her other Keen's.

I bought five pairs of the Sunport sandals for each of my grand kids ages 3 to 9 years old. They wore their shoes the same day I gave it to them. Everyone is happy with their sandals. "Like it a lot" is what they have told me. From my perspective, I'm happy with my purchase knowing my grand kids were pleased with what they got from me. My impression with the Sunport sandals is that they are well made.

My 4 year old is big for his age and he has wide feet. This brand is great for having the perfect shoes for him! Not only the sandals but all of their shoes! I have been getting this brand since he was under 2 and will continue!!!!

My daughter raves about them. They're pretty much the only footwear she wants to wear anymore. They go anywhere, wipe and rinse clean without a problem, and seem to fit perfectly. We already have a bigger pair when she grows some more!

My 8yr. daughter has issues with her feet and needs support. Crocs were always a favorite. I've searched for something similar and I found these keen sandals. Absolutely love them! True to size.

Great Kid's Summer Shoe

I've bought several pairs of these shoes for my son over the last few years. He is a very active and adventurous boy and these shoes hold up to him. Great for everything from the park to hiking to the lake. Only problem we have had is that one shoe rubs on his ankle and creates a bit of a raw spot. We just put a band-aid over the spot and haven't had a problem.

I love these shoes for my kids! They will be great for summer time and will make bike riding and running safer. They can wear them to the beach and in the water without them getting wrecked . I think they will last us a very long time.

A great hybrid shoe

As an owner of 4 pairs of Keen's, I may be a bit biased. This however, shows my overall satifisfaction with their products. They do, in my opinion, tend to run a little wide (or I just have narrow feet). My daughter does too; we had to tighten up the the quicklace a tighter than expected (and she developed a nasty blister, which I attribute to operator error, not a problem with the product). My daughter has loved Crocs since she could walk but we figured that it was time for her to take a step up to a hybrid like these with better tread and the classic Keen toe protection. Normally a bit pricey but we got these on sale.

This seemed to be a great idea, an easy shoe from a good shoe company. The colors are attractive specially to the little kids BUT somehow the side of the shoe is too high and rubs against the ankle bone creating BLISTERS!!! Needless to say after our first long "fun" morning using these shoes we came home bare foot and had to return them (thanks to Altrec 100% satisfaction policy)! The idea of making a shoe entirely of EVA didn't work for Keen!

Bought it for my little girl. She loved it. Cutest thing to see on her little feet. It's a Keen, can't get any better for a sandal. Would recommend it to others.

I bought 2 pairs of these...1 for my 6 year old and one for my 3 year old. The 3 year old can easily put these on and off and she loves wearing them! They are adorable on! My six year old say she has to wear socks with them, otherwise she gets blisters.

Have had the blue camo pair of Sunsport Sandals for my almost-3-year-old and the plaid pair for my 4-year-old since March and all we love them and have received loads of compliments from family and friends. My daughter can get them on herself now; son can't quite do it yet, but that is a user factor, so I suspect he'll be pulling them on all by himself soon. They work great at the beach and the park, wear wonderfully, are easy to keep clean and they fit well. Some people have complained about the very plastic-y look and feel of the Sunsports compared to other KEENs, but for our household, plastic + toddlers = less headache for Mom. Love 'em.

Cost too much for the product

I have had Keen sandals for my kids in the past. I ordered these mainly because my son liked the color. When I received them I was so disappointed to see that they were all plastic. They are basically a more expensive, slightly less bulky version of the crocs. And he said they were not comfortable at all. He never complained once about the Newport or Sunsport ones I ordered him in past years. Not impressed at all.

Bought these for both my son and daughter for the spring/summer. I wanted something with a closed toe since my kids are ages 4 and 2. These are nice and lightweight yet sturdy. Would definitely buy more!

Sturdier than Crocs

Ordered these for my kids to replace their much loved Crocs. They seem to offer more protection for the toes and keep their feet in place better. These are "squishy" and "easy to put on" according to my three year old. My 8 year old likes them too and says they are very comfortable.

Keens are great. Never any issues. So much sturdier than Crocs, and good for the playground because of the enclosed toe box.

Great shoes

Keen always makes great shoes. I was a little concerned when they came because they are made of some kind of rubber. All Keen's I own are leather and neoprene. My 7 yr old grandson, got a blister on his ankle after wearing these for a few hours. He's not having any trouble now.

These were great colorful shoes for kids! Nice fit and keeps clean even while in mud. Colors came thru and the dirt feel off. Kind of tight on the ankle is the only problem we saw. Great colors and design for a kid.

I bought these for my 5 y.o. daughter and always lean towards Keen's because of their comfort, durability, versatility and style. These are great for summer- waterproof, easy to get on/off and because they're totally rubber you can just hose them off. That being said I guess I didn't pay attention to that part when I ordered them so I was a little surprised to see how "Croc"-like they were. We're still happy with them and look forward to many more outdoor activites with them.

My daughter is currently using them since they were purchased in May. They fit as described and are comfortable. The size is average, a bit wide in the front. Great for the beach and give a good platform. My daughter is 2.5 years old 38 lbs and about 3.5 ft tall. The sandals shed water and sand like no other. Great product, i'll be buying another set shortly.

I have bought Keen sandals for my entire family. Everyone agrees on the quality of the product. Definitely hooked on this super comfy footwear. In addition Keen's line of winter boots are outstanding. Very satisfied with each and every purchase.

Ok but issues...

I bought several of these shoes for my kids. At first they loved them, however, seems like the lip near the outer ankle is cut too high and caused blisters on 2 of my kids... I ended up having to cut this down so it wouldn't run on their ankles. Also, the paint started peeling and chipping off after two weeks.. A shame cause I really wanted to like these...

go one size bigger than normal. Great toe protection, dry fast. A must for the beach. Took these on a cruise to the Carribeann. Wore them every day. They are great!

Not for my boys

These were just not what I want for my boys to wear in the humid summers of upstate NY. I sent them back and will buy the Newport for them instead. KEEN makes a great sandal for kids and adults but the materials used in these was just not what we want. No give and too hot for sweaty little feet.

I buy Keen sandals for my kids every Spring. The Sunport style is new to me and I absolutely love them! They fit just like the other ones we buy, but will be easier to keep clean. The colors and variety of styles fit my kids personalities. We love them so much and will not be buying anything else. Highly recommend this shoe!

Do not buy the KEENS made from EVA

Read the reviews here and you will see, these shoes seem comfortable for your kid, and then they end up giving them horrible blisters. The EVA is not kind to little one's ankles. I'm not down on KEEN, in fact, WE LOVE KEEN. Our family lives on the Columbia River Gorge, and KEENS are a must for the water, hiking, school etc. My advice is to stick to purchasing a different style of KEENS, such as the Newports, the dress shoes or Mary Janes, or some version that is water-friendly without the all-EVA design. It is not worth it to see the discomfort your child will have to endure. Our daughter calls these particular KEENS her Boo Boo Shoes :(
