My daughter picked out the pink whisper sandals because of the colors. I decided to give them a try after buying her the keen newport for years. They are just as comfortable for her and easy to do almost all activities that a 5 year old does in. I wanted to try these since the newports stink so bad after a few months. If you have keens, you know what I'm talking about. So far so good but may be too soon to tell.

Can order them big

I ordered these at the start of spring for my daughter. Hoping to get a full spring and summer out of them, I ordered them a little bigger than her current shoe size. Thanks to the adjustable elastic strap on the top, I was able to tighten them quite a bit. This makes them easily worn while they're a little big on her, and I am pretty confident she will get to wear them all summer long. I will just have to let the elastic out as her feet grow. I have always ordered Keen sandals for my kids because I love the protection they provide for their growing feet. With these shoes, their toes are protected when they are running and climbing on things, and the soles are very similar to good tennis shoes, so they provide great support. And the sides are open enough that their feet don't get too hot most of the time.
