Perfect timing for the purchase of a perfect boot
I was torn between purchasing these boots and a sorel boot, and ultimately I opted for these because I was concerned about bulkiness with the sorel boot I was looking at. I was also concerned about how well the sorel boot would do in snow shoeing and sledding.
The day before my boots arrived I sprained my ankle, so I was extra concerned about support. But I had no need to worry. The keen's fit like a glove, are very supportive, and are both light and warm. It started snowing in Boston (which it had yet to do this year# two days later, and I've worn my boots to work every day. I've also worn them tromping about to play in the snow, and they're perfect. So comfortable and so supportive even with my sprained ankle, that I've even kept them on at home instead of my brace.
Last week I went into a store to take a gander at the Sorel's that I was considering, and I'm so glad I opted for the Keens. The Sorel's are much bulkier and heavier. They're still very cute #which is why I was drawn to them in the first place) but so are the Keens.

Great Boot Purchase
I originally bought these boots as a Christmas gift, but loved them so much I bought a pair for myself. These boots have great traction for the snow, comfortable fit, and a zipper down the side to make them easier to put on. I also love that these boots don't have laces to come untied or get wet in the snow like so many other boots. I would take the recommendation of other reviews and order a 1/2 size larger. I normally wear an 8.5 and ordered a size 9. Perfect fit considering you will be wearing warmer winter socks. Once again, another great product from Keen!!

Great Boots
I've been wearing Keen's for a few years now and they're really the only shoes I buy. I've got problems w/ my ankles and haven't found another brand that competes w/ their comfort. I usually order a half size up in Keen so I did the same when ordering these boots for my wife. I had read several reviews on these boots and that seemed to be the consensus. My wife disagreed. She loved the boots but is returning them for her usual size. She gave a great review of the boots as far as comfort, style etc. went, only complaint was that I should have gotten her actual size instead of ordering a half size up which is usually required when buying keens. Altrec is wonderful about returns so no worries. Correct size on the way.

Very comfortable & warm
These boots are wonderful. I ordered a half size up and they fit perfect. They keep your feet toasty and warm. The tread is chunky--no unwanted slippage! The black is a great color and can be worn underneath jeans and no one knows they are snow boots. Great looking and feeling boot!

Boots are wonderful
The Betty Boot is the best boot for cold, snowy weather. They keep your feet warm even in the coldest weather. They are good looking so you can wear them with your best outfits. The black is a great boot for dress. Keens are the best boots ever.

Super Cute and Warm
I usually wear a 9 1/2 Keen Sandal, so I ordered the size 10 and they fit perfectly. This style allows your toes to spread out a bit. Great arch support too. The zipper works well and I can get my foot in and out of the boot with ease. The color is true to the picture shown above.

Great boots.
I ordered the Keen Betty boot for next winter after experienced a harsh NE winter. This boot is everything I expected, can wear this trekking through heavy snow. It does come in 1/2 size smaller. I normally wear 5/12 but ordered 6 and they fit perfectly.

best boot by far
i LOVe everything about this boot. i ordered it for my upcoming trip to iceland. (i plan to write a 2nd review upon my return from iceland.) it's exactly what i imagined--cute, snuggly, AND practical. the soft, fleece lining will keep my feet warm AND looks like faux fur peeking out of the boot. i wear a size 9 so ordered a size 9, and the fit is perfect. the sole looks rugged & sturdy--great for walking on lava rocks and romping around on a glacier. the pull tabs (yes, plural--one in front, one in back) are strong and excellent for pulling off the boots.
the boots are average width. so if you have wide feet, you might want to think twice. the snug fit makes my footing feel secure, but does not allow for thick socks or any kind of insert.
my only complaint would be they need a little more arch support. but, i have high arches, so it's hard to find ANY shoe/boot with good arch support for my feet.
overall, an excellent boot from an excellent company at a decent price!

Comfortable and Durable
I bought a pair of these boots based on the reviews from several sites and the overall style. I am VERY pleased with this boot. I would recommend wearing thicker socks and the cold can get through slightly. I've slipped a couple of times on the ice but haven't fallen. These boots look great with any straight or boot cut pant. I recommend them!

Good winter Boot
I got this boot because it came highly recommended from a friend. I tried on her size 11 and it was pretty big so got my usual size 10 and it fit but wasn't comfortable so I am returning it a half size up. I love all the features but they run a little small.

Sizing is critical
Like a lot of Keene shoes, this boot fits tight in the ankle. I had to return it. I would order at least a half size larger than normal. Like all Keene, they are wonderfully made, and have great style.

I bought a pair for my daughter and she loved them. Since we wear the same size, I have worn them, too, and found them very fitting and comfortable. I usually wear an orthodic in my shoes, but the support was enough without them. My only complaint is they are expensive. Time will be the test.

A Fashionable Winter Boot
These boots are very comfortable, provide Keen's exceptional amount of support, and stay dry in snow, rain or mud. They run true to size and there is plenty of room at the calves to tuck in pants (and my calves are on the medium-to-large size). They are very versatile as well; I can wear them with jeans, pants and even on a couple of occasions with a skirt and tights. I do wear them with socks though since there is no fuzzy lining in the footbed. These boots look good, feel good, and will undoubtedly last through three or four winter seasons.

Bought these
I bought these boots for my wife to get through the cold winters and get her through the snow of Nebraska. She fell in love with them at a local store, but they didn't have the color that she wanted, so naturally I went to one of the only online retailers I trust, Altrec.
Right after we received the boots, we were out running errands in 4-5 inches of snow and near 0 degree temps and wind chills in the range of -10 - -20 degrees and she said that with her warm wool socks on, her feet were nearly sweating. She has worn them to work with normal socks and on other occasions, and says that her feet are very much comfortably warm but not overly warm or sweating. She feels that they are comfortable and the sole stable. She did have to go up a .5 size. She normally wears an 8.5 but had to got to a 9.
She has been more than happy and loves, not only the warmth and functionality of the boot, but being a style concerned woman, feels that she can wear them to keep her feet warm and dry, without having to sacrifice style and look.
I have already told my sister, my sister-in-law and my brother's fiance that they need a pair of these boots. A great product made by KEEN.

I bought a size that is 0.5 bigger than my normal shoe size, but the boots were still a little too tight. I'm considering asking for an exchange for 1.0 bigger than my normal shoe size.
Very good when walking over snow and even some ice.

great boot
I wear these boots daily all winter and they are great. I wear them walking (1-1.5 hours at a time) and they are comfortable, required no breaking in, and provide great traction on the ice. I originally ordered them a half size up to accommodate winter socks, but had to exchange for my true size. My one complaint is that they are rated to -25 degrees, and they are warm, but my feet would be freezing if it were actually -25. I have very slim legs so they give me enough room to tuck in my pants, however, they may be a little snug for someone with large calves. Seem very well made. All in all, great boot.

Stylish, durable, warm
Likely a 3 season boot here in Upstate NY. Great in the winter thus far but envision using them in the wet spring and fall. Great traction in snow, warm but not too warm (can wear thin socks and still be toasty warm). Easy to get on and off, which is important because I am 6 months pregnant.

Absolutely love them!
Ordered these boots after seeing them on someone at a park.. she loved hers and I asked her about them.. I ordered them online as stores here were out of them.. they arrived so quickly I was amazed, and wore them promptly for the last 2 days.. it's cold here, and finally my feet are warm, and so comfortable, like wearing slippers in the outdoors! They're adorable, soft, comfy, flexible, lightweight, warm, and fit perfectly, even though I normally wear a half size larger.. ordered the smaller size by half and they fit perfectly. They're absolutely my favorite shoes for winter. I'm a super-happy customer, and was ecstatic that the boots were on sale and they also offered free shipping! What more could a savvy shopper want??

Great Choice
I really like these boots. They are true to size and are very comfortable. They're warm, without being too heavy or bulky to wear for long periods of time. They withstand moderate exposure to precipitation and still keep your feet dry. I like their versatility; I can wear them to work or working out around our hobby farm in cold weather.

Warm and relatively dry, general Keen fit
These boots are great for just here and there through a little snow. They keep my feet warm and dry around town in snow but I would not recommend sloshing around during very wet conditions because they don't seem to be completely waterproof. Upper is somewhat wimpy so I would not recommend if you're looking for a lot of ankle support.

Keen Betty boot
Love this boot--fits well, warm, waterproof--got to try them out this weekend in 20 degree, windy weather. I use them mainly for walking the dog on 1+ hour hikes. No rubbing, chafing etc. The side zipper is great for easy on and off. Great price from Altrec! And they look cute with jeans!

Keen Betty boot
I almost sent these back, thought they seemed tight even though I tried them on in a retail store (full price 120 bucks! thanks Altrec for the bargain!) and had the size 38 right. After two tries with different socks I'm glad I kept them. They may be a bit snug at first, but I know the 39 was too big, so I am glad I kept them. So far very good boots--can't speak on durability, but I have at least 6 pairs of Keen shoes/sandals and they have all stood the test of time. Warm and comfortable for dog walking and slopping through wet grass and mud. Can't wait to try them in snow! I live in Pittsburgh and if we get hit like we did last year these boots will get alot of use. The zipper entry is great, no struggling to get on and off. Nice mid- calf height (I'm 5'2 with short legs!) Overall a good, quality boot from Keen!

Great Boots!
I tried two other boots before settling on these. I tried Baffin and they were warm and comfortable but one pair seemed too bulky and the other of the same size too small. These Keen boots are comfortable and warm. I ordered a 1/2 size up based on some other reviews and this seemed to work for me.

Very warm and comfy
I love these boots. Size 6 always fits me very well and this one is not an exception. I haven't tried them in the snow yet, but I know they will keep me very warm and dry.

Can't wait for the snow!
Love the Betty boot from Keen! I wear a 6.5 and this fit perfectly right out of the box. In other Keen styles I have needed to go up a half size. This boot does not cause any chafing around the ankle like may others I've tried. Jeans fit perfectly over (or tucked into the boots) and they are equally comfortable with thin (or thicker winter) socks. In general, I love Keen products and I eagerly anticipate the snow this year to put them to the ultimate test. Can't comment on warmth in cold conditions as I bought these in August and don't have a walk-in freezer. I am sure they won't disappoint!

Sylish Winter Boot
I purchased these boots because I wanted something that didn't look so heavy duty. These are stylish, cute and can also be worn with jeans. If you like to wear thick socks, I would get a half size up. Other than that, they are very durable, water proof and cute!

Awesome boots
Great boots! I absolutely love them. I had them overnighted to me for a trip to Tahoe (great customer service btw) and I'm so glad I got these particular boots. They are very comfortable, rugged, warm and I've gotten complimented on the way they look. They've been great in the rain also.

I've had these boots for a couple of weeks and, so far, I like them a lot. They're comfortable, warm, and easy to get on and off. I have very wide feet, so I ordered a 1/2 size up and they worked out well. They're also very good looking -- have gotten many compliments. Overall, I think they're a great boot.

Warm Boots!!
I purchased these boots on my husband's recommendation, as he has two pairs of Keen's that he loves. These boots are really warm. I live in N MI and work outdoors much of the winter. My only complaint is that the side zipper is a little sticky, and does not seem to want to retract all the way, other than that they are great. I have received compliments already and have only had them a week.

Great Boots
These are fantastic boots -- warm, stylish, easy off and on. In fact, I initially bought them for shoveling snow and, at the same time bought another, more expensive pair of boots for wearing out, but I like these so much that I rarely wear the others. They were shipped very quickly (and free!) I think they fit true to size and have a good arch. In truly bitter cold (low teens and below) my feet get a bit cold in them, but I haven't found a boot yet where that isn't the case...

Warm, feminine,lightweight-great boot!
Living in VT I needed a very warm sturdy boot. I also needed a boot that was easy to get on and off, since i'm a Mom to a small one and often am holding him and groceries as I try to take off my boots! But, also wanted a boot that was feminine - unlike my prior winter boots that were functional but clunky, too tall and heavy. These Keen Betty Boots are awesome! They are soft, warm, lightweight, hit at the calf, easy to use zipper with two pull on tabs (on front and back of boot) and a great price here on Altrec! Upon arriving at home with my son, I unzip the boot before getting out of the car, get him, walk thru the snow to the front door, and can slip the boots off easily at the door, yet they stay on well from car to door, even with the zipper down. This boot is just what I wanted. **Definite note-buy half size up! I am a definite size 7 and they were way too tight! 7 1/2 fits perfect! This is a narrow boot too and there is no way it would fit anyone that has feet that fall outside the 'standard' foot width.

Really love these boots. They are cute and functional. They work great getting to and from your car in snowy, wet or cold conditions and are perfect for putting on after a day of skiing. Very comfy.

great boot and finallly one that keeps my feet warm
First of all it was a strong positive working with Atrec. My boots arrived quickly and were in perfect shape as if I had purchased them at a local store. The boots are great and are everything I hoped for in a boot, great style and comfort...and they actually keep my feet warm and dry. I have Type 1 diabetes and it is hard to keep my feet warm...now I am successful and can enjoy the winter outdoors again. The price was the best I found online!

Love my Keen
These boots are awesome. I am very happy with them and I looked a long time for a pair to be happy with!! Great traction, warm, easy on and off. Order a 1/2 size bigger than usual though for a comfy fit. I think I'll order the Betty Snow Clog too!

Great fit and price!
I bought these boots because I love the fit of KEENs and owned shoes for every season but winter. They are true to size, easy to put on and off, and warm. I live in Idaho where we see quite a bit of snow and cold temperatures and the Betty Boot is a pleasure to wear. The soles have good traction allowing me to skip my yak trax most days. My mom has the Betty shoe and loves those too!

Great boot & Stylish!
My feet get cold very easily and living in CO, I need a high quality, waterproof boot for winter sports like snowshoeing and regular activities like playing in snow, walking in snow, shoveling, etc. I've had these for two weeks so far & LOVE them!!! They seem to keep my feet much warmer than my Northface boots, even when I was out snowshoeing today & hiking through 7 inches of freshly fallen snow. Plus, they have the added bonus of being very cute! These are a keeper!

Wow, super comfy!!
These boots are so warm....after hours of playing in the snow with the dogs, my feet were still nice and toasty...and dry!!! Nice and light boots, no heavy stomping around, very comfortable right out of the box. Ordered a half size larger than normal - great fit. These have great grip on the bottom for good traction too! I have never been more pleased with a boot purchase. Super fast shipping too! Thanks Keen for an excellent "quality" boot!!!

Comfy and Warm
I had to return my normal size for a half size bigger, so I definitely recommend up-sizing. I'm really glad I did because the bigger ones are really comfortable, warm enough for the northern New England winter, and have gotten a lot of compliments!

1 slight problem otherwise ..great!
i do love this boot...so warm and comfy. however, on the left foot the zipper is sewn off center, so it has an indentation that bothers the inside of my ankle. i couldnt return them, so i decided to live with it. i have tried to get it to buckle out but to no avail, so i just put an little extra cushioning on my sock and deal with it.

Great boots!
I love these boots!! I'm a dog walker and a good footwear is very important to me. I get cold very easily, but in these boots I can walk the whole day being so comfy and incredibly warm. The out sole works great with the snow and even the ice. Also, these boots look very fashionable!

Mixed review
I bought these boots because I love my Keen shoes. I wore them sledding with the kids and they were warm and comfortable trekking up and down the hill. However, when I wore them outside to a football game my toes were cold after about 20 minutes. If you need boots for being active these are the ones. If you are looking for something to keep your feet warm while sitting in a freezing stadium or for being outside for long periods of time where you are not "making your own heat" (snowmobiling etc), buy something else.
