I love these winter boots. I'm usually a size 8 1/2, but I read reviews that Keen boots can run a little small. To play it safe, I ordered a size 9 and was glad I did. These boots are SUPER comfortable and warm, and even though they're a size 9, I think my feet look small in them. The actual color is definitely brown even though it's called black, but I wanted brown boots, anyway. Also, these boots are extremely lightweight, which seems kind of odd for winter boots (but I'm not complaining). I'd recommend these to anyone who wants comfortable, good-looking boots that are very high quality! You'll definitely get your money's worth.

I purchased these boots for my daughter for Christmas. Based on reviews a 1/2 size larger was ordered. Unfortunately, they were too big. I reordered them according to her shoe size and the fit was good enough for her to decide to keep them. A quality boot, with a great non-slip/skid surface. She wanted the madder brown. Fun color, more red in color than brown.
Pros: will be great in the snow if we ever get any!Very comfortable and cute, too!

My siblings and I purchased the Keen Brighton High boots in Madder Brown for our mother for Christmas. She tells us that she LOVES them. Initially, she found them to be a bit small, even though we ordered 1/2 size up (KEEN is known to run 1/2 size small). But after wearing them for a day, she really finds them to be a perfect fit. I think if it were me, I would have exchanged for an additional half size up. But she is happy. She is a teacher and wears them to school on especially cold and snowy days and feels they are cute enough to wear to work (probably on jeans day). Otherwise, she wears them around town and to walk the dogs. I gave them 4 stars for the inaccurate sizing, otherwise, they are the perfect boot. Love KEEN!

I just got my boots!!!! i got slate black .... which is brown... they are great... i also ordered a half size larger then normal and that was a perfect plan. If you like them buy them..
