Great Keen Boot

I love these Keen boots! I looked for Keen boots as I have worn Keen in the past and loved them. They are light weight and easy to take hikes over rough terrain. I am recommending them to my husband!

I bought these for my wife and she loves them. When she opened them we both thought "no way, they're too small", but they fit like a charm. (size 9) Very comfortable from the start and remained so. Nice leather, including the entire lining.

I bought the Clara low boot through Alltrec after pricing them on line for several weeks and got a good deal. The boot is true to fit in my normal size (and I have wide feet) and comfortable with woolen socks that come up over the cuff. It has the look I wanted--sophisticated enough for city wear, sturdy and rainproof enough for country walking and everyday mucking about. The only potential drawback is that the heel height throws my weight forward a bit creating pressure on the ball of my foot. I plan to remedy this by buying inserts. Even so, I've worn them daily and am pleased with them.

I purchased the Keen clara low boot on the web without trying it in a brick and mortar, and found it to be quite satisfactory. I got one size too large on purpose to be able to wear two socks and this worked well. The boot does need some extra padding and the double sock strategy helps. The heel is a bit higher than I expected, so walking feels like I am slightly rocking from heel to toe, but the effect is not too bad. I like the style, and the higher heel is not objectionable.

This boot is well made and very sturdy. Great quality leather. The sizing is true to fit, I am a nine in most shoes and same in this. The box of the shoe is wide, but doesnt bother my narrow foot because the laces provide a nice tight fit. There is meat to the tread, so it holds firm on slick/icy surfaces. Wears great with jeans. The leather, while great in quality, is a little stiff, it takes some time to break in. On the downside, I am going to get an extra insole to put in because there isn't very much cushion for my taste. All in all, I am very happy with this boot.
