Good winter shoes
January 11, 2012
Keen has again delivered a warm, comfortable shoe. Fleece-lined nubuck suede permit snow & salt to brush right off. While not waterproof, they are a good choice for casual outings light snow. I ordered a half-size larger than my usual, and wish I'd gone a full size. bigger (not unusual in Keens). The madder brown is NOT brown, but a brick red (okay for me). Tread is rather "flat" for icy walks.
Pros: warm casual good looks, Cons: not the greatest tread for iceKeen: A quality product you can depend on

I just got my Keen shoes and I was not dissappointed! They fit like a glove. The width and length are perfect; they are extremely comfortable. They will look great with jeans. You can always count on Keen quality--the leather is soft, the color is very complimentary, and they build shoes to last!

Nice, but...

These are cute shoes, but too narrow for me. I have a wide forefoot and have been a Keen fan since they normally accommodate wide feet. These are cute, though. Sad that they don't fit. Had to return. Keen has more than one last. It would be nice if Keen would indicate which shoes are best for wide or narrow feet. Not recommended for wide feet.

Nice looking shoe, but....

it's a half size too small. While pretty to look at and comfortable once you have the right size, Keen does annoy me with their size anomolies. I also think the faux-shearling could of been used inside the shoe as well to make it toastier. Having said that, the shoe interior is classic Keen, comfy to a fault!

I sent the Crested Butte slip-ons back. I bought them for winter dog walks. They were my regular size, they are beautiful, but, they just felt too loose. I ordered the Brighton slip-ons for a comparison (they have a longer top) and they fit perfectly. The shoes are wonderful, I've had a great experience with the Keen brand. Great arch support and great comfort.

I love the fit and style. They are narrow which I like but some with wide feet may find them too narrow. They have some shearling inside but just around the inside edges not on the bottom. I would probably buy 1/2 size bigger next time as I would like to wear a thicker sock for winter and they are a bit tight. But with a thin sock they are perfect. Love Keen!!!
Sizing is a bit tricky, but cute shoe

As someone with wide feet, I was hesitant to try this shoe after reading the review about it running narrow, but I followed the tip to order 1/2 size up and found that width isn't a problem. Even sizing up, though, the firm front of the shoe, particularly where the keen "toe wrap" is, can be felt with my toes. A full size up might have been too big, although thick socks might have made them OK. That said, they are cute and the rest of the shoe is quite comfortable, so I'm sticking with the size I got.

Although I don't plan on wearing these until Winter, after trying them on I think they will be just right for our cool Winter days here in Central Oregon.

I bought the Keen Crested Butte Slip-Ons as I have owned the same style shoe for years and found them very comfortable. This shoe is even more comfortable with the sheepskin lining and true to fit. I think I should order another pair.
