I like these shoes a lot - I got the purplish color and it is very different and nice. They do not seem much like hiking shoes to me....not a lot of support or protection for the bottom of the foot on rugged ground. However they are very cute and comfortable casual shoes.

This is one of the best shoes ever. Recently I vacationed in Moab, UT. I am not a hiker, and regular hiking shoes seem too heavy. I really needed a shoe stronger than a sneaker and these were both supportive and comfortable. I climbed all over, including on 'slickrock'. I highly recommend them.

I show dogs and run a 90 lb OES around the ring! No hiking but super active, the jasper is the most comforting of the 9 pairs of keens I own! Yeah, it is the only shoe in my closet, Keens are great and Altrec is the place to trust for price and shipping fast.

I absolutely love my Jasper shoes. They fit perfectly right from the box-no need to break them in. I especially enjoy the way they keep my feet cool-I work with kids all day so there's lots of running, jumping, playing, etc. They are a comfortable, no-nonsense shoe.

Joan Beder - 2009-04-20A good, comfortable shoe
This is a fun shoe to wear - many who saw me wearing them for the first time commented on how 'stylish' and 'fun' the shoe looked. The fit was a bit tight but I removed the innersole and replaced it with a thinner innersole bought at the drug store and the fit is fine. I think that when I have fully broken them in, I can put back the innersole that came with the shoe. What I like about the shoes is that they are not as heavy and clunky as some of the Keen shoes. I cannot imagine wearing them on a long hike, but maybe when they are more fully broken in (I have only worn them once as I write this review).

This is NOT a hiking shoe. It does not offer the support or build for sustained walking. As long as you understand that, it is a nice, lightweight shoe. I ordered up a 1/2 and the fit is fine. Very comfortable and great with jeans.

I ordered up 1/2 size for a good fit, as a review suggested. My foot is rectangular but not technically wide. Haven't yet worn the shoe too much (thus 4 stars only so far), but tried it on and found it quite comfortable. Enjoiy the low profile and lightness, less bulky than many Keens.
Rose - 2009-06-10Nice shoe, but not enough support
This is a nice lightweight, casual shoe. The port color is a lovely red purple color.The shoe has no built-in arch, it is completely flat and uncushioned without the removable insole. I need more support and cushion for walking than this shoe provides so I will return them.
