Too Roomy

As you may have read, or experienced first hand - Keen runs small. I went a full size up on these boots and my heel and ankle completely sloshed around and the material folded over itself at the ankle. Unfortunately I didn't get to experience them outdoors. Although these boots looked great, I won't be reordering another pair, as I'm opting for a waterproof pair instead. Altrec did have the best price, great email communiation regarding order and shipping status.

Ordered these boots for a birthday present, however wasn't crazy with the overall fit. Felt like a great boot for the farm, not the skirt. The color and comfort were both great, but they were very bunchy around the ankles. So pleased Altrec has such a great return policy.

Ok boots, but just not for me

I ususally LOVE Keen shoes and I always wear a size 8 in Keen. I decided to try these boots, as they look totally cute online and seem like they would look nice with a dress. I was excited for them to arrive, but when they did, they just didn't seem as nice as I had hoped. The overall appearance seemed to be of a lower quality and the size 8 that I ordered actually fit very snug. I am sad that I have to send them back - I was hoping they'd work out.

Nice boot but I wanted black, or an off-black and so ordered "slate black". They were brown. Keen makes great boots, but needs someone who knows colors and more accurate names for them!!

Cute, easy and comfortable. These boots are great! I actually purchased them in black and brown. I typically wear 8.5 and found these fit true to size. Cute with dresses and skirts. I went from church in the morning to lunch then to the trails without thinking twice about changing my shoes!

I originally bought these in an 8.5 and they were very loose in the heel. Sent them back and ordered an 8 and absolutely loving them! My heel still slides a tad, but they fit great everywhere else and they have a slight slouch appearance. Not breaking in period, fit great the first time on.

These were beautiful boots - unfortunately they were too big. I had tried on the half size smaller in a local store and they were just a bit small so I think I am just in between sizes for Keen boots. I was very impressed with how quickly I received my order and how easy it was to return the boots.

Timing of arrival was PERFECT! Not too cold in our area but for TX, 37deg is great boot weather! When I pulled the boots out of the box I was immediately in love with the soft leather. I slipped them on and DON'T WANT TO TAKE them OFF! I got the slate black that is a perfect dark brown coupled with a cute brown skirt or denim. I'll be sporting these with skirts and either leggings or cute socks. I have the Keen Baby Bern in Black which are amazing and get lots of attention. I'm certain these will be turning heads, too. Fit is great and snug around toes, comfortable slip in heel and great fit on my muscular calves. I've seen some complaints about tight fit on calves but I consider my calves pretty big and I don't have any issue. The boots actually have a bit of slouch around ankle since the leather is so soft which is super appealing and comfy! I ordered a 1/2 size up. I normally wear 7 1/2 in other brands but in Keens, I fit in 8. I'M A KEEN LOVER! Finally, Altrec had the best price for these KJs! Thanks!

i cant believe how comfortable, true to size, the foot bed is like therapy for feet that stand all day, i water proofed and wear daily. My husband jokes about me sleeping in them, they look great but are so funtionable. I can see me wearing these until they wear out.
