I love Keens and this was a great buy. Size 11 can be difficult to find & this is just what I needed. This shoe provides great support with a sporty look.

Best shoes in universe

If you have narrow feet these are not the shoes for you. Using a shoe-store measuring device, my perfect shoe size is 6.5 D width. These shoes in their 6.5 regular width are perfect for my extra width needs in the toe box. I have a narrow heel, wide forefoot, & high arches (if you have high arches, you need more width in your shoe's forefoot area for the ball of your foot & toes to spread out & take up the support that you don't get since your arch is so high). With these shoes, my toes & the sides of my feet FINALLY do not rub against any part of the shoe. There is no irritation at any point in this entire shoe, and I wear them both barefoot & with comfy, sort of thick cotton sweat socks. They feel great with my arch-support orthotics & without (since I am very lazy about bothering to put them in too often, I've been wearing these McKenzies mostly without my arch support orthotics & haven't had any pain, cramps, shin splints or any problems at all!). These shoes are very light-weight & you don't have to tie laces. They are the easiest, most comfy slip-on-and-go shoes in the universe, and very well made. I recently had a spinal surgery & with this fusion I cannot bend, so am thrilled not to have to tie laces. When I cross my leg over the other I can effortlessly slip this shoe onto my foot & that, in my situation, is invaluable. I am so impressed with this shoe's quality, attractive outdoorsy design, & high degree of comfort, I ordered a 2nd pair...and then cleaned out my closet and donated ALL of my other shoes (except for 1 pair of dress-shoes) to GoodWill. This shoe meets my needs for walking around the neighborhood, taking my dog on light hikes through the nearby woods & lakes, doing my core-strengthening exercises on a yoga mat, and all of my indoor housework. I put these on around 7:00 am and they stay on until 11pm or midnight...because my feet do not feel at all like they're being cooped up by being inside of shoes with these McKenzies...they're like a 2nd skin or something, they feel so natural & comfortable. This is the first shoe I can finally say that about. I am now a Keen shoe fan for life, and have bookmarked Altrec.com!
Pros: roomy toe box, feels great right out of box, good arch support, does not rub anywhere on foot, works well on feet w/high arches, great treads on bottom, light-weight, no-laces to bother with, rugged, attractive design, Cons: not for narrow feetgreat!

These water shoes are comfortable and efficient in and out of the water. I order a half size larger than my regular shoe size when buying keen shoes. Very stylish , cant really tell they are water shoes. Highly recommend them.
These are great water shoes!

I have always like the toe protection that Keen builds into their shoes and sandals; but the McKenzie water shoe adds a nice mesh to the sides, that keeps out the small gravel that used to get into my Newport sandals and make me crazy...LOL! I sell kayaks, and allow my customers to try out boats; I never know when I'll be walking into the lake. Keen shoes are super-comfy for all-day wear; and they dry fast. They look nice, too!
Pros: durable and fast-dryingcomfortable and supportive for water sports

after suffering 2 fractures and surgery on my foot, I needed a shoe for kayaking that I could use my ankle/foot brace in. This shoe certainly has plenty of room for that! It's very wide in front as other reviewers have mentioned, but I like room for my toes. My feet are wide in front, narrow in back. The ties cinch down for a very secure fit around my ankle/heel and no discomfort at all. I find these very comfy, just a bit tricky to fit in my boats because they are so clunky. The sole support is fantastic, especially for an injured foot. My only complaint is that the mesh does let fine sand into the shoe, but it does a great job keeping out everything else. They are also not at all attractive, but that doesn't matter to me. I think they run a bit large. I normally wear an 8, I would go with a 7.5 in these - but I kept them because they are totally comfortable.
Pros: comfort, support, easy to clean, Cons: not beautifulAlready own the Keen McKenzie Water Shoe? Tell us your thoughts.
Disappointed

This is not your average Keen product, was disappointed. There was absolutely no arch support in this shoe at all. The rubber sole is different from the other Keen shoes I have--not as thick and not as supportive. I have other Keen shoes in a size 9 but these shoes where huge!!! Even a size smaller I think they still would have been too wide & sloppy. Not what I wanted for a water/hiking shoe. I had several friends with large feet try them on and no one liked them--so I had to send them back.
Cons: no support, way too big & wideGreat Travel Shoe

I purchased these shoes as an all around travel shoe. They work great especially in warm and wet conditions. They are extremely comfortable and provide great support. The mesh fabric keeps out rocks. They make a good hiking/beach/water shoe. One shoe that serves multiple purposes. Another great product from KEEN!
