After watching my husband love his Newports for several years, I finally got a pair and am so pleased. I wore them the first time on a slippery half mile evening hike down to Cumberland Falls, KY, and then back up again. Comfort, control and no rubbing/fit issues. I always wear size 10 Keens, and usually 9.5 in other brands. Great shoes, too; I have KEEN hiking shoes and Mary Janes.

This is the second pair of Keens I bought. In fact around the same time that I purchased these I bought a pair of MBTs and J-41s. I returned both of the other brands. I am looking for sandals for a trip to Disneyland in July. I need shoes that are comfortable, sturdy, and shoes that can get wet then still walk around for the rest of the day (Anyone who has been Disneyland knows what I am talking about). I am wearing this sandal everywhere and am very pleased so far.

These are very comfortable shoes and I wish I'd gotten them years ago. I normally wear a size 9 in a standard width, but needed a 9 1/2. It seems they run about a half size small. If my feet were any wider, I think these would be a little too tight in the width.
The color I got was Shitake/Baroque Rose. I like the neutral brown color and the leather is nice looking and soft. The little pink accents make the standard brown which could look rather masculine, more feminine and cute.

These shoes are the BEST addition to my wardrobe this summer. They are comfortable, keep your feet cool and your toes safe. You can dress them up for an evening out on the town, or dress them down. Great for cookouts, the ballpark, hiking with your dog or sightseeing the big city.

Wow! I just completed a 2 mile walk with my new Keen Newport sandals and my toes don't hurt. I have a problem with every women's athletic shoe I have ever purchased - the toe box, even when it is rounded, squishes my toes. I have narrow feet so buying a wide shoe is not a solution. Nor is an open toe sandal when doing a lot of up and down hills. With these sandals I can actually wiggle my toes. I mentioned to my son that I was thinking about trying a men's shoe, when he suggested I try the Keen sandals. He is an avid mountain trail hiker and just about lives in his sandals. I ordered the Newport sandals and they arrived the very next day! Great service. Thanks for the fit recommendation to buy a half-size up - absolutely perfect fit with the 8.5.

I read the reviews carefully, so ordered a half size larger than usual, which was absolutely right. The shoes are great--in two weeks they've been to Boston (I like to move fast when I travel) and on four hikes, one rugged. As with all open shoes, they pick up small pebbles if you're on gravelly trail. But otherwise, they protect your feet wonderfully and are very comfortable.

As soon as I put them on I loved the fit. I have arch problems and I felt completely supported and comfortable. I will definitely purchase Keen again. For sizing I usually wear 6 or 6.5 depending on the brand. The Keen 6.5 was perfect, I didn't need to go to a 7.

I have been boater for many years and this is my second pair of Keen. I now use them for boating, hiking and in our move to Ca now for swimming pool shoes. shopping shoes they are the most comfortable shoes you can wear them all day. First pair lased three years and in fact I still wear them just like the newer colors for modern. My husband just bought a men's pair and he feels the same way as I do. We get so many compliments on them.

I bought this shoe to go hiking in Costa Rica. I've never spent this much EVER on a shoe - not even close. IT WAS WONDERFUL!!! My feet didn't hurt at all and I wore them everywhere for 11 days! Worth every penny! I will continue to wear these shoes until they fall apart and then I'll be buying a replacement pair - they can't be beat!

I've had recurring pain in my left foot and have fiddled with various shoes and inserts (Superfeet,stability shoes, cushioned shoes...). I got these for a trip to Disney World and the second I tried them on, my feet felt great. I tried Chacos first, also, but the arch didn't line up with mine. These fit perfectly on a beat-up arch, size 8B, with a previously broken toe. No more flip-flops for me!

We did a lot of walking during our recent trip to Thailand and Cambodia. I ordered my Keen Newport sandals 1 size larger than my regular size and wow, they were so comfy. The sandals were really great even when it was raining and the road was muddy and wet.

Very comfortable shoe that works great with shorts, jeans, capris - whatever! A little on the "warm" side as far as sandals go, but great for all terrain, such as hiking, walking, etc. These shoes also get lots of compliments on their appearance - everyone asks where they can get a pair!

This is my eighth pair of Keen footwear, third pair of the Newport sandal. Keen are the most comfortable shoe I have ever worn...I'm a true believer. I have a somewhat wide foot and find these to be extremely comfortable. The arch support in Keen is excellent, as well. What I like best about this new style/color is the texture of the leather. The color is closer to a "suntan" once you're sporting one, and the pinholes in the leather seem to make it even softer. Overall it's a great shoe...the whole line is - at least every one I've ever bought.

I had bought a knock-off pair of similar sandals and thought I could be happy with them; but the difference is obvious! I can play kickball and softball and soccer at school with my students in these, with no slipping or sliding or broken toes. Also, I haven't had any feeling of "tired feet" after a day in sandals, like I have had with sandals with less arch support. I get compliments on them all the time; I wear them to bike to school, and then wear them all day long. Great concept!

These are one great pair of shoes! I wore them straight for a week just to get a feel for them and they were wonderful. They breathed and gave great foot stability for a lot of walking. You can even run short distances with ease. One thing though: I did find them to rub the back of my ankle just a little bit.. but that may be my feet as it happens with most of my shoes. :o) All round GREAT shoe - a must for everyone who wants happy feet!!

I had the Newport, 9.5, in Madder Brown. The cord system failed after about a month of rugged wear, but I was able to go to a local store and have them replaced. The bummer about that, is that they swapped me for the men's version, which they swore were "exactly the same", but I can tell you that they were not. Not nearly as comfortable. I then purchased a 2nd pair... an H2 version and they are not as supple/comfortable as the Newport. I purchased ANOTHER pair of the Newport (can you tell I really missed them?!?!) and am happy as a clam again.
These shoes are great for plantar fasciitis sufferers, runners, those with collapsed arches, and for those with, er... funky deformed pinky toes. The strap of the women's version is in just the right spot to keep the toe from poking out, whereas this is not the case with the men's version.
My recommendation: Try 'em. And, at the sale price of $68 right now, you jsut cant beat it.

I have the Bronx and Cortina, and now I can't wait for summer to wear the
Newports outside (inside is as far as they go in the winter). These sandals
are so smooth and comfortable against my feet and so cushiony (just like their
other styles) that you don't believe you're wearing sandals! A remark on
the size: my Bronx and Newports are the same size; my Cortinas are 1/2 size
larger - hope that helps. I vary in shoe sizes between 6 1/2 to 7, and so
I opted for the larger.

My Keens are by far some of the best shoes I have
worn. Purchased them for a rafting trip down the
Grand Canyon. Took just a couple of days to get
used to them. Wore them in Vegas for 4 days before the rafting trip. Worked great, no blisters!!! They performed better than I expected. They dried quickly, provided good support, superb footing on rough terrain, and looked good all the while. Plan on using them for scout camp for many summers to come and intend on purchasing more for family members.

I got these shoes because i have a bad ankle that stays swollen. this shoe allows me to control how wide it gets. The sandal has very good arch support. No blisters from breaking them in.

These shoes are worth every cent we spent on them. I tend to be on the cheap side, but my husband purchsed a pair of these and now I am a believer. He has always bought quality footwear for me in the past, but this by far is a superior sandle. No foot fatigue as I chase my children (also wearing Keen Newport H2s) around the water park and beach. They show no wear, and we recently bought 2 more pairs of keen sandles (Hood River)for a cruise to make a total of 8 in our household. I believe they are the best all around sandal that money can buy!

My wife loves the Keen Newport sandals that she received as a gift from me. She thinks they're cute as well as comfy, sturdy, and extremely practical. The sandals are water-proof with form-fitting cushy insoles
and vibram-like outsoles. She plans on wearing them on hikes that involve a lot of stream crossings. She would have liked them for our trip to the Big Island of Hawaii last year to protect her tender toes from the rough incisor like lava that cut her feet during the whole vacation. So, I guess we'll just have to go back to Hawaii!

I wore these to muck out my yard after it was hit by 106 MPH winds last year. They protected my feet during my hazardous 2 mile trek through undrivable streets to find hot coffee the day after the storm. No electricity for 9 days, no air conditioning, but my feet were cool looking. I thought the Newports were done for after all that mess got all over them but they cleaned up good as new. Now THAT is adventure. True story not a joke.

This "sandal" is an awesome shoe for anything outdoors! I lived in mine for a week...even did some rock climbing in them! The footbed is rugged and well-conformed to my foot. I tried Chacos, but my arch isn't nearly high enough for them. This shoe fits perfectly! The wrap around sole even protects the sides of your feet, and the toe bumper makes you invincible! The sole is a great gripper and the uppers are very comfortable. They do leave a funny tan, though!

These shoes are so comfortable and good for all types of outdoor activities. I would recommend them highly. Even after you have had them a while you can tighten them up with the cord on top once they have gotten wet and stretched out.

These are fantastically comfortable shoes, the best sailing shoes I've ever had. They really grip, dry quickly, and protect my feet in all directions. Definitely not dainty looking but they really work for racing.

I love these sandals. This are some of the most comfortable sandals I have worn. They are great for everyday use. I've even used them for taking a 2-3 mile walk.
I haven't yet tested out the waterproof leather feature but I'm sure that living in Seattle means it won't be long before I do.
