I got the Palisades in Black Olive/Sweet Grape. Function: I've got a feeling that these shoes will last forever. The sole is tough and gets a good grip during hikes. With that said, they're also comfortable. I often put them on when running to the store, especially when the weather is wet/windy since the leather is waterproof. Fit: I wear a 7.5 street shoe. Based on the rep's advice I ordered a size 8 and the shoes fit perfectly with my wool hiking socks. Plenty of wiggle room for my toes yet they are snug around the ball of the foot. I've got thin heels and I haven't experience any rubbing/irritation. Aesthetics: Cute shoes! It doesn't hurt to look nice while roughin' it outdoors...or at a department store. It's a versatile shoe. No complaints.
