Great boots - so so warm
March 23, 2012
I brought another pair of insulated boots for snowshoeing and general snow hiking etc. They didn't fit right so I returned them and opted for the Revel. I love Keen quality. I got the boots and was impressed with the workmanship and how comfortable they were right out of the box. I took them out snowshoeing a few days after getting them and they were still comfortable, even after all day wear. I am still undecided on how warm they really are. On one cold, rainy day (about 35 degrees) my feet felt cold. I use wool sock liners and wool socks. The next day, during a heavy snow and strong wind (temp in the 20's) my feet felt fine. I will have to try again to see what the warmth factor really is. That being said, these boots were very comfortable and I am very happy with them. I have normal width feet and narrow heels - the fit is good.
Excellent Boots, perfect for snow shoeing

These boots are exactly what I was after: supportive, functional and warm. They are very supportive, which is great for my weak previously fractured ankle. The insulation makes them extremely warm. Aesthetically, they are more attractive than some snow boots. They are excellent for snow shoeing as they are not too tall at the back. I would say they are true to size. I am a standard 37 and the 6.5 is perfect. Overall, I am very happy with these boots.
