Great waterproof, high-quality boots!
March 24, 2012
I always size up a 1/2 size in keen. These fit great, but I wish it fit more around the calf... it fits good, I just wish it was more of a stretchy fit. Great quality, have been worn in good and are super comfortable. Waterproof a big plus!
Nice boot!

I was reluctant to buy these based on reviews regarding calf size. I have above average calves and these definitely are snug. I had a difficult time zipping up but I think with regular wear they will loosen. The leather should stretch. Overall, they look great while being sporty. Very comfortable to walk around town for errands, etc. I bought the Shelby boot at the same time and these won out!
Pros: very cmfortablealways love a keen

i have many pair of keens - running shoes, harvest mary jane, another mary jane, above ankle boots etc. love them all and so does everyone else who sees me wear them. i wanted a pair of warm, insulated boots to wear in the winter with skirts and dresses so that i could get my kids in and out of the car thru snow drifts (which are inevitable where we live) and come out with dry feet when i'm dressed up. got em in dec and i love these boots - sporty, more casual look but thats what i wanted. good treads and comfy from 1st wear. I wear a 7.5 in real life and a KEEN 8 - always (in all above stated keens). Took an 8 in this as well. thanks altrec for providing my keens - i get em quick and with good prices.
very comfortable and versatile

i can see where others may think these run small. but i am between sizes in some styles so these boots work for me. i wear them to work on snowy or wet days, i wear them to walk in the woods, and i wear them in the city. they are very comfortable and have really helped a problem i was having with my knee. and they are warm! they are also stylish in an outdoorsy way. i am glad i bought these boots! they are the best purchase i made this year.
Pros: comfortableRuns small!

This boot is a great mix of a sturdy traction in a great looking style but it runs small. I usually wear a 7 1/2 or 8. I ordered the 8, but my toes pushed against the tip of the boot so I'm returning them for an 8 1/2.

I bought the boots and wore them around for a few hours right out of the box and they were so comfortable. The zippers are hard to zip up and down at first but they eventually loosen up and get easier. We're planning a trip to Ireland and I wanted some nice but comfortable rain boots and I am so excited that I found these boots!
Pros: comfortPleasantly surprised

I read all the reviews and couldn't decide between the Keen Silverton or the Baby bern. I am sooo glad I chose the Silverton! As others commented on it is a snug fit-AT FIRST. Another reviewer said to give it time and I did. All it took was a day wearing them around running errands and they are no longer snug. As a side note I wear the smart wool ski socks with them which are pretty thick. I always go up a half size for keen and thus rather than getting my usual size 7.5, I get an 8 in keen and these were no different. The leather is soft and supple yet so far has been waterproof. I have worn them in slushy slick stuff and the treads make me feel like I have real boots on rather than stylish knee highs. The zipper on my right boot is a little difficult to get started but over time has gotten easier. There isn't much room in the calf but I measured my self before buying with tights and jeans and I fit fine with my mild "runner's calf". I'm sure there are fancier boots out there but for wearing with jeans or dresses in Colorado winters they are great!
Awesome design, but a tad snug

I usually wear a 6, but decided to buy both a 6.5 and a 7, as I planned to wear thicker socks during the cold months. Am I glad I bought a 7, because it was still a tad too snug, but I do have broad feet. And getting in and out of the boots was not the easiest either. Having said all that, it really is a great rugged design. They look good with skinny jeans, and even with a pretty dress. I walked for hours in them, and they felt great! Do size up though, if, like me, you like a bit of room for socks and to wriggle your toes a little bit.
Pros: Great design, warm liningWomen's Silverton Boots

These are great looking boots and they are so comfortable! I have a high instep so I had a bit of trouble getting them on. I am sure they will be easier to get on after I wear them a few times. I know I will enjoy these boots for many years to come.
Pros: warm and weatherproof
