Much too stiff

As cute as they are, these are very uncomfortable. They rubbed my feet on the sides and across the top of my foot under the strap, no matter how loose or snug I adjusted it. I have other Keens and love them, wear them A LOT, but I am very disappointed in the fit and comfort of this particular shoe.

I am a lover of Keen shoes, and have several styles in multiple colors that are comfortable beyond belief. Imagine my surprise when I tried on the Summer Golden Sandal, and it felt stiff and UNcomfortable! This may be the result of the unyielding thick linen on the upper part of the shoe, and the fabric footbed. I wore them around the house for about five hours and found that, rather than "breaking in," the discomfort only grew. The upper sides pinched my feet, the straps felt scratchy, and my feet felt sweaty. When I finally took the sandals off, I had red irritation marks on the sides and across the top of my foot and ankle. I have never experienced any of this before with Keen styles! Even though the sandals are attractively designed and seem to be well-constructed with a lot of attention to detail, I think the materials used do not provide the comfort level that has come to be associated with the Keen brand. I am exchanging the sandals for a style that I am already familiar with.

When I first received the shoes -- they were a little tight across the top of my foot....but after wearing them a few times it loosened things up and now fits great. Such a plus that I could order a size 10.5. As always Altrecs customer service is wonderful!

Love this shoe, but beware it runs a bit short and you'll have to pay to send it back. Usually I wear a 7.5, in this one and most Keen, I need an 8. Great combination of materials, the printed interior of the shoe is a fun detail. Keens are so comfortable and more stylish than I would have thought before I bought my first pair.

when this sandal arrived, i immediately tried it on. It was slightly tight across the ball area of my foot. Because it has a heavy guage canvas construction, i was able to bend and stretch the shoe to fit comfortably. This style can be dressed up or down. Great color options too! the ease of ordering and customer service options were of great value.
