Great shoe but don't necessarily order up in size

Loved the color, syle and quality of this shoe and based on the numerous reviews stating that it runs 1/2 to 1 full size small, I ordered a 7. I usually wear a 6.5 or sometimes a 7 so thought that was a safe bet. My heel slides right out. The front of the shoe is also rather wide so if you have narrow feet, it may look a little odd since the shoe has open areas and you may see blank space as opposed to your foot. I would recommend ordering your true size or better yet try them on in the store then order from Altrec since they usually have better prices!

these shoes are just not that comfortable. I would see them back if I didnt live in Korea. No support what so ever in the shoes. I don't think I could wear them for long periods.

The sandal is just what I expected! I got Women's Venice H2 Sandal too, the width of Venice H2 is a little bit small due to the materials it use(may be loosed up from uses later on), but this one is perfect. I like its leather upper and insole. It looks beautiful and feels comfortable.

I love these shoes! They are so comfortable! There is no need to break them in. I wore them for the first time hiking Diamondhead in Hawaii and they were perfect! This is my second pair of Keen Venices and will not be my last.

They are soooooooo comfortable...it's like I'm not even wearing a shoe at all. I find they tend to run a little large. I usually wear a 9.5 shoe, but the Keen Venice sandal size 9 fits perfect. I also love the arch support. If you are on your feet alot, I would recommend any Keen shoe. As soon as I discovered Keen shoes, I threw away all of my other shoes and began only buying Keen. I now have 12 pairs and will continue to only buy Keen.

Excellent sandal that wears well. Easy to adjust pull chord strap at top for a perfect fit. True to size (I wear size 9 and the size 9 Keen fits perfectly). All around, my favorite pair of sandals!

I love my new Keen Sandals. They are really nice, we travel alot and like to hike. We spend most of our time camping and hiking. I took the sandals out of the box put them on and wore them all day. The keen sandals are great however I have to order a size larger they run small.

The toe box is perfect for my foot. The shoe is wide but not loose. I wear them all the time. I get a lot of compliments on the the robin egg blue color.

They are the most comfortable shoes that I have worn in a long time. The nice thing is that you can just throw them in the washer if they get dirty. I would encourage anyone to purchase them!

I bought these for my wife for 4 weeks travel around Australia and New Zealand. She absolutely loved them - they were very comfortable from the first wearing, and were great for walking through rivers, rainforests and being on the beach or on a boat. They dry out very quickly aswell. Highly recommended.

Own this along with the Newport. Both are terrific. Great wide toe box. Can even run in them! The Venice is not quite as supportive as the Newport (which hugs your arch if you need extra support) but the up side is that it is more open and airy in the summer. I wear them all year long in the Northeast.

After recommendations from several friends, I tried a pair of Keens on in a store and loved the feel. I shopped online to find the color and style I wanted. After picking them up at the post office, I literally opened the box in the car and put them on. I haven't wanted to take them off since. They were immediately comfortable and I plan to use them for my summer travel shoes to meet all needs!

This is my second pair of Keens. I LOVE them for hiking and all-around use. Extremely comfortable and they offer terrific support for my feet and legs. Wear them all day, as well as on the beach and on the hiking trail.

This is my 12th pair of Keens. No need to break in,very comfortable. I have sweaty feet,and the footbed absorbs moisture and prevent blisters. Unlike the Newports, this style is less "clunkier" looking. I'm wearing them with my skirts on my trip to Portugal.

I really wanted to love these shoes. So many people told me how wonderful they are. In my case they gave me blisters everywhere. Toes, heels, bottom of feet, etc. I had worn them for short periods of time to break them in. Then we went on a 3 mile walk and I was a mess by the end. I had to send them back.

I got the light blue so I could ware them with denim. There not many shoes out there that you can depend on light you can with KEEN. I have 12 pairs of KEENs, love them all.

Good and bad

As a sandal, this is very comfortable. Like others, I loved them as soon as I put them on. However, as a water sandal, they are horrible. They fill with gravel immediately and you have to nearly take them off to empty them - they hold the gravel in! Plus, in 105 degree heat, they were still quite wet on my feet 2 hours after I got out of the water. Buy for comfort, NOT for water play!

I just got these. I have trouble finding sporty sandals that don't hurt my feet. These felt great right out of the box! So comfy! I know these will be my favorite warm-weather shoe from now on. I will definitely recommend them to others and will likely buy more Keen products in the future

I have a pair of Keen newports and thought it would be fun to try a new style. I love the way these look and the color (I ordered the dark earth carribean sea) but when I put them on my narrow feet they look weird because you can see that my foot does not fill out the inside of the shoe. This was not a problem with the newports because there are more straps covering the front. I think I will try the whisper style instead. So my recommendation for those with narrow feet-go for the newport style instead of the venice.

i have many pairs of the venice sandal, in different colors. totally comfortable with a stylish appearance. perfect to wear doing errands or to the beach. i have wide, flat feet and usually have a problem with sandals, but not these.

Love these shoes. They are so comfortable. I wear a 6 1/2 so I bought a 7 and I really think that I could probably wear a 6. Which is what I will order when I get my second pair, going for the red this time. Even thought they are a little long, they tighten up really good so the fit is still good.

I'm s kitchen designer and I just bought the black on black ones. I can actually get away with wearing these to work in this color, they are great for wearing to job sites. These are very comfortable. They might run just a tad big but I actually am very comfortable with them, my feet grew recently with the birth of my first child and maybe this is what size I should be wearing! They are great. I can't wait to hike with them!

I bought this shoe for my wife for all around walking, light hiking, and maybe a walking-heavy trip in Europe later this summer. When we got it, it looked a little large, but what I realized then was that it's perfectly sized for thick socks in winter. With that, she put on the shoes and indeed, they were a perfect fit. In the summer, she'll have to tighten up the laces quite a bit, but in exchange, the shoe ventilates very well. Recommended.

I was looking for sandals that would enable me to hike, kayak, wade, etc. without a shoe change. These certainly fit that need! In these, I'm able to do it all. I even tried them out on an unplanned run with my dog and they were comfortable for that. The shoes greatest strength would be traction. I do a lot of hiking up rocky mountains and through streams/rivers and I have always felt balanced in these shoes. I also like the material because it dries quickly, but when wet, doesn't make me feel like my foots sliding around inside. I'd say the only weakness and one that isn't even of too concern for me would be the width. They are quite wide, but I'd say it adds to their durability.

Ordering shoes online is risky when there's no time for exchanges. But I did it anyway and, with the fast service and helpful reviews, got just what I needed for an overseas trip. I usually buy size 10 shoes, but when there's a closed toe my left foot needs a 10.5. This sandal has enough of an adjustment range that I was able to get a comfortable fit with the 10.5 pair I ordered. The toe box is wider than my medium-width foot but I was able to adjust that enough, too. The sandals arrived about 5 days before I left and were great from the first wearing, even with a neoprene ankle brace. They got wet in rainy Vietnam, they accommodated socks in chilly Tokyo and slippery docks on the Mekong River. And now I've got a great pair of sandals for cruising around the rest of the year.

I absolutely love my Keen Venice sandals. They are very comfortable, and I can wear them all day. I have the black olive/surf spray color. At first I was concerned that the shoe would scuff easily but it does not at all. I bought this shoe larger than my normal size. I wear a size 8.5 in running shoes (8 in casual shoes) but a size 9 in the Keen Venice fits me perfectly. I would definitely recommend these shoes to friends.

I first ordered the Newport Sandal, but it was too much material and felt too hot. So I ordered the Venice. This is cooler for my feet, yet provides great comfort and security on unstable ground. I was able to walk miles in them the first day! The fit is very comfortable with the wide toe. The closed toe really keeps me from banging my toes as well. I did have to buy a size larger than my normal shoe, as stated by most everyone.

I love Keen shoes; have 2 pair of shoes and a pair of winter boots. I have now added the venice sandals. I ordered a half size down and they fit perfectly. They protect my toes, do not rub or chafe my feet anywhere and are comfortable to walk in like the Keen shoes but obviously ventilated for the summer!! Great comfort and flexible, love the neoprene lining underneath the leather, it cushions the tops of my feet. Love how you can draw the sandal tighter or make it looser to fit. Great sandal for summer, for walking, for hiking, for everyday wear!!!

I own these sandals in brown nubuck, and they are extremely comfortable. There is excellent support, and they are comfortable right out of the box. I've worn them hiking, on the beach and in the city and find them wonderful.. I especially appreciate the good traction when hiking on slippery surfaces.

I have really suffered with planters fasciitis and need a shoe that is not only comfortable, but gives my heel and ankle solid support. I have found a shoe that really fits well and provides exactly what I need. I put the "ballad blue" sandal on and did not want to take it off. I am touring the Greek islands this fall and I know this is going to be the shoe that I will be wearing all the time. My husband was impressed with my impression and is thinking about purchasing a pair for himself. Love them!

I returned the Venice sandals I'd ordered the other day..the ankle straps are located right where my ankle bones are. It kept rubbing at my ankle bone and was uncomfortable. I called Altrec for a shipping label for the return with no problems at all. They paid for shipping which was good business. It's why I like shopping at Altrec. They treat their customers well.

I've worn these everywhere and they are perfect. I've washed them in the laundry machine (cold, slow cycle) and air dry, and they retain the shape and comfort.

I wanted a summer atheletic shoe with ventilation and support: Keen Venice does a good job. Comfortable, nice design, okay not great arch support. This shoe like other Keens runs on the small side--I usually wear 8 but 8.5 in Venice fits properly. Decent for well-groomed trails--like any open shoe, gravel gets in. Easy off, a little harder getting on.

The Keen Venice shoes are the best shoes I have ever worn. They are so comfortable and offer protection for my toes. This is a very important factor to me as I am a diabetic and need to be careful with my toes. Everyone comments on my various colors of keen sandals and I have recommended them to many friends. It is hard for me to put on any other kind of shoe now and be comfortable in it. Keens are the best!

Most comfortable shoe I have ever put on, right out of the box...Stays put on my foot,and is not as heavy as it looks...I hiked 10 miles in mine the first week-end...and will put on many more in the months to come.

Keens women venice sandals are great, I have 4 pairs. They are so comfortable I can walk in them all day without my heals hurting me. Because of the thick rubber souls my heels don't hurt when I walk a long distance. There are so many choices of colors, I want them all. They are True to size. I have had so many compliments on them, especially the red ones. When people see them they say those are Keen shoes, I smile and say "yes". I don't find anything I dislike about them, they are just darn comfortable and cute. I'm 5'6" weight 167 lbs, wear a size 8 in other shoes and that is the size I got in Keen shoes. They are cute with socks when wearing jeans and without socks when wearing shorts.

Seem like a great pair of sandals, a little darker than I was hoping for. They dig into the area under my heal bones. I will be returning them. I have a narrow foot, and a narrow hindfoot. The Naples fit is great and less bulky.

I like this style of Keen. It is perfect for summer shoes and in chiller tempertures you can wear with socks. Not sure of the fit with this pair because I purchased for my daughter as a gift. I love mine though... I wear a size 8.5 and that is what I bought for myself. Fit is right. Most other Keens you need to buy a .5 size larger-- not these. I love Keen's shoes and I have several styles.

Bought these for hot weather hiking. Brought them to wear in the evenings on a backpacking trip through the Grand Canyon. Comfortable to wear after hiking in boots all day. Used them for short evening hikes. Took a few wears to break them in, initially rubbed on little toes.

I have wide feet and often have trouble finding shoes that fit comfortably. The Venice sandals are so comfortable, I actually ran in them this weekend with no socks and didn't get blisters. Oh... and it was on a trail... in the rain. Best shoes EVER! I found that the sizing was right on, not too small as was suggested.
