Children outgrow keens before they wear out

This is the 8th pair of Keen sandals we have purchased as a family. My children out grow them before they wear them out. They really last through tough conditions, including over seas in third world countries. My sons do not seem to be able to wear them out any faster then my daughters. They are comfortable to walk in when wet. They offer good strong foot support and we love the toe protection. The children's keens seem to run true to size, whether they are the infant, toddler or youth sized sandals. I even wear the adult keen sandals myself. My first pair is 6 years old and going strong. I would highly recommend them to friends.

I love these shoes! Size 6 youth fits me, who is normally a women's 8. I like the velcro strap on the top instead of the toggle on the adult sized shoes because the toggle was irritating my ankle. And the kid colors are great!

These sandals are pretty awesome. They are extremely comfortable and look tough and cute. They do take very long to dry, which is weird since they are waterproof. But even in the rain they keep your feet dry. After long hours wearing them they might start to smell funny, so clean the footbed every so often. Overall good buy

I purchased these earlier this summer and wore them a lot all summer long. I am actually going to miss wearing them now that winter is headed our way, and already look forward to wearing them again next spring. They are the most comfortable pair of shoes I have ever worn!!! In my opinion, the price is well worth it for these wonderful shoes! I will most definitely be purchasing another pair or two to wear next spring, summer and fall.

My son wore these for a month of camp in the rivers and mountains of Colorado, they still look like new! He loves them! Great quality and durability, worth the price for sure!

My daughter loved them so much. They fit just right and they are comfortable for outdoor activities. They proctect your toes but they are airy at the same time. The service is excellent. Because we did not receive them on time, they were reshipped to the campsite. I need to buy a pair for myself too.

Best sandals ever worn. The Quality and comfortness is there. They go on your feet so easily. It's like wearing a high end $200+ shoe. Very nicely ventilated keeping your feet dry all day. I bought a pair for my kids and they love them too.

I bought these sandals for my 7 year old daughter before a recent camping trip in Texas. Definitely glad I did. Right out of the box my daughter loved how they fit and how they looked. They were the perfect sandal to wear around camp, in the river, and on short hiking trails. The soul was durable enough to handle the rocks on the river bed, the upper material dried quickly enough for comfortable wear once out of the water, and the staps ensured a secure fit so she didn't have to worry about losing them in the current. She also wears them to the pool, day camp on water days, and for quick trips to the playground. All around a great summer sandal. Comfortable, durable, and worth the money.

We just received the Raya Lilac Sachet H2 Sandals for my daughter. Absolutely LOVE the colors and the fit is great (we usually get these knowingly a bit big because the design allows us to pull the bungee snug; lets us enjoy for longer time as her feet grow). We actually exchanged the Sunport Sandals for these since the Sunport material was too thick and stiff that it caused blisters. Love that Keen runs wide at toes. That provides great fit for our wide feet. She's been wearing Keen sandals, targhees and maryjanes since she was 3 and I started getting them for myself. Love the selection, durability and comfort.

I recently purchased these sandals for my 7 year old daughter. My husband has a pair and he loves them. The sandals are comfortable, stylish, and great for land or water. The price was the best around and the selction on colors and styles was exceptional.

When my son was smaller, he thought new shoes made him run faster and jump higher. Now that he's 12 and almost a teenager I don't see that a lot. Not these! I didn't realize how much he wanted a pair. I had one happy kiddo who was bouncing around, running up and down the hall when he put these on for the first time. In our public schools children can't wear open toed sandals to school for safety reasons. Keens are the exception to this rule because they're a covered toe. I sent him happily off to school in shorts and Keens the next day.

I typically wear a size 6 in women's shoes and was so pleased to find that youth size 5 Keens fit me well. They are super comfortable and I know I will get a lot of wear from this new pair. I also love the covered heel detail in the Newport H2. The colors that Altrec offers in the youth Newport H2 Sandal are plentiful and I'll be ordering another pair in orange soon.

we bought these shoes for our two daughters, age 11 and age 9, for an upcoming vacaiton. the girls love wearing them. so far have worn them to school, around the house, and in the yard. they both say they are very comfortable and are easy to get on and off. after getting them wet, they seem to dry quickly as well. they both have skinny feet and there hasn't been any trouble with the shoe fit both with socks on or off. i know they will get alot of use out of them and hopefully be able to pass them on down to their younger sister. the only downside seems to be the wide gaps between the webbing might allow small rocks to get into the shoes.

Originally, I ordered the cheaper, plastic version of this shoe. They gave my kids blisters like crazy and they were cut very wide. I returned them (great customer service, by the way!) and got the H2s. My girls never want to take them off. They say they are so comfortable, they actually keep them on like house shoes. Up in the morning, Keens on, and they don't come off till bed time. So glad I switched. Altrec has great customer service!

My daughter had these sandals before and when she grew out of them she didn't want to look at anything else. She wanted another pair, same color and all. They are comfortable from day one that you wear them and are perfect for all summer activities! We highly recommend these sandals!

Will not fit narrow foot/heel

I have Keen sandals for myself and recently purchased 3 pair for the rest of my family. All work great except for my 11 year old son. His foot is very narrow. We cannot velcro or cinch them tight enough to get them to fit. I have since ordered a different style of Keens for him and they also would not fit properly. (Got a stlye with no velcro and the cinch tie only.) The problem seems to be in the enclosed heel portion of the shoe. It keeps slipping. So we are sending back both syles. :( I love keens and were so hoping they would work.

I bought these for my 9 year old daughter. She has worn them to summer camp, on the waterfront, hiking, to school and in the snow (with socks). We love these comfortable and very stable shoes. I buy keens for myself and for my kids because I trust their quality and the comfort is unbeatable.

This is the third year I have bought Keene sandals for my 7 year old son who definately puts his shoes to the test: They take a beating every year and still look great. He lives in these in the summertime. This year I even bought a pair for myself and my daughter. They are extremely comfortable with a roomy toe box and good arch support. I anticipate that I will live in these this summer.

I have purchased these for years now and they last forever. I am working towards having all colors. We cannot use open toe shoes at work so it really works well to be able to wear these closed toe sandals and are very very comfortable.

My daughter loves these shoes. She has had three pairs of Keen Newport shoes and the only problem we have found is that they do not grow with her feet. They wear well and are very durable. She wears them almost everyday during non-winter weather and none have worn out. I would recommend them.

My 7-yr-old daughter was completely set on the Angel Falls print and absolutely LOVES these shoes. I had intended them to be her go-to summer shoes, as they're so well made, durable, and great for running around and getting wet. Well, she broke them in over Spring Break and is constantly wearing them. I'm not worried, though, she loves the look and I'm confident they'll still make it through summer w/o a problem!

These are durable, good-looking sandals for our children. We have yet to come across a better product on the market. The most obvious use is in and around water as they shed water and protect little feet from semi-buried stones and debris. The only small negative is that dirt and grime can become embedded in the top of sole below the foot. Couple this with warm feet and an odor builds. Some quick scrubbing with soap and water from time-to-time takes care of this. The cost is on the premium side of things, but in this case you do really get what you pay for.

My son liked these shoes. I bought them for a trip to Costa Rica and he has been breaking them in. They run true to size and so far fit him well. Likes the easy lacing system--no untied shoes!

Excellent all around sandal. Great for hiking or hanging out at the beach. Very versitile. Now everyone in our family has a pair and we all love them. Fits slightly on the small side.

these are super comfy and great for biking, running around with the dogs, and just kicking around. excellent product! i am a short female and wear about size 7.5 women's and a 6 in the youth. i guess if you have a very wide foot there might be a space problem, although my foot is by no means narrow and fits great.

Keen shoes are great because they are light weight and yet so sturdy for serious play! These shoes run wide and I am glad as my daughter has wide feet. She loves the color selection and can't wait to wear them on vacation.

True to size--maybe runs a little small

Fits true to size--maybe runs a little on the small. Make sure you measure your kid's foot and get the right size. When I ordered this, my kid measured a toddler size 7, but wore 6-6.5 with other brands. Here she just fits in a 7. Also, this particular sandal is for a 9-10 year old, not a 3 year old toddler, so I had to return it.

Both my boys wore these sandals non-stop on our last camping trip - 9 days! Just the occasional stop for small gravel that infiltrates the openings. Great service. I think they arrived within 2 days!

My son wears these all the time. He wears them to school, to the park, to the lake, IN the lake, and back and forth to the camp. It's great protection against the stones, stumps, etc. too.
