Great sleeping bag!
May 10, 2012

This is a great sleeping bag for a great price. It's lightweight, compressible and very warm. I'm a 5'3 female and the short length is perfect for me. The bag is comfortable and I slept soundly through a 40 degree night without being cold.

Great price on a lightweight down bag. Has everything you need without any extra frills. Synthetic bags in the same price range weigh more than a pound more.

good 3 season sleeping bag
January 15, 2013

I was looking for a warmer sleeping bag to do some three season camping. I used this for a trip this winter where I car camped. It was about 20 degrees each night and this bag kept me very warm. One night, it got down to 15 degrees and I did get slightly cold in the bag. The bag seems overall pretty light weight, although not as lightweight as the bags meant for long hiking trips. For the cost, this is a nice all around, 3 season sleeping bag. I even tend to get cold when camping in the spring and summer so I am sure this will work well. As for length, I am 5'11" tall and the specs say the regular size works for up to 6'. It would have been nicer to have an inch or two longer for extra wiggle room. I have never tried a long sleeping bag so I have no point of comparison. I have had other 20 degree down sleeping bags in the past, that may have been a little warmer but it was also a much heavier bag.

Pros: Build quality, Ease of use, Great value
Durability: 5 / 5

very warm three season sleeping bag
June 20, 2012

I'm quite happy with this sleeping bag as the price tag is very friendly to me and the quality is also satisfactory. Only issue I found was the length. I wasn't as long as I expected although I bought it for my wife and I just tested it for comfortabilty. It may be a bit small for some adult males. But this SB is very comfy and warm enough maybe possible to use in some tents in very cold weather.

Stuffs down small
July 09, 2013

I bought this bag for motorcycle camping trips. I read official reviews from several different websites as well as customer reviews. I spent probably too much time reading reviews before I decided to buy this. I was looking for a sleeping bag that would stuff down to the smallest size possible, without costing a couple hundred dollars. I wasn't really concerned about weight, because it would be on the bike, but obviously weight and size go hand in hand. This bag stuffs down to about the size of a loaf of bread and is plenty warm for 3 seasons. The zipper stops just below the knee when your in the bag. I'm 6'3, 220lbs and got the long bag, it fits me well. I expect this bag to last me a very long time.

Stay Tuned
February 27, 2013

I just bought the Kelty Cosmic 20-Degree Down Sleeping Bag within the last couple of weeks so my review is from that point of view. First, Altrec's customer service was outstanding. I called the company in a panic because I planned to leave the country within a few days and I needed to take the bag with me. The bent over backwards to get me the bag on time and it arrived in great shape. I tested it, by turning the heat at home down to the bare minimum (it was an extremely cold night). I slept in my boxers and a wife-beater. Over the course of two days, I was roasting and sweating in the bag; it was that warm. My only issue with the bag was that it felt a little tight (I am 6' 215 lbs.). The fact that I have not slept in a sleeping bag in years, might have contributed to the "tight" feeling though. If you are considering purchasing this bag, I think you can do so with confidence. I Hope that helps.

Pros: Great design, Build quality, Performance, Ease of use, Great value, extremely warm, Cons: a little tight
