wasabi - 2009-06-12Not perfect but gets the job done
Pros: easy to wear, easy to fit, easy to put my baby in, well designed pouch on front and back
Cons: not the most comfortable carrier, baby tends to dislike the shoulder strap rubbing her face, limitation on weight upto 25lbs
After we had a baby I need a baby carrier that I can wear and doesn't require a DVD or classroom to learn how to put it on. This is very self explanatory carrier, I opened the box and my baby was in within 10 minutes, and she fell a sleep. Cool. Downside was the shoulder strap rubbing her face a lot, so she would awaken with red cheek. Also, the carrier's back support is not so great. I,ve tried so many times adjusting and shifting, but the back support wants to ride up and always end up middle of my back.
confort level is okay, I wear my 4mo baby in it, taking subway, dining out, hanging out in the park, etc. I wore about 6 hours straight one day and my shoulders were not happy, but I tried other brands and they were not as good as Kelty, so I'm staying with this.
Storage space is well designed, but it will only hold 1~2 diaper and small wipes. Back pocket is nice to keep my hand sanitizer or keys (Too small for my iphone)
I also noticed the privacy shield’s Velcro was attached wrong and defected, so I am using safety pins to keep them up. Privacy shield is just a nylon cover and won't protect baby's head from rain...just FYI. I'd like to see this product continue to stay, but with some modifications.
