Kelty Rain Cover

Just like any bit of rain gear, you hope you won't need it but it may just save your trip! This cover fits my Kelty Red Cloud 5600 (92L) just fine and packs down small. It's reasonably priced considering it will save your pack (and all of its contents) from certain water-logged ruin! Great product from an even better company!

Good product; shaped for external frame packs

Good quality construction; seems more durable than the s2s ultra sil. Have used in heavy rain; kept my pack dry, but may tend, at times, if not attached securely, to slip off top of your pack and expose to rain, but that seems more an issue with how you attach it to the pack. Appears to be shaped for an external frame pack, but works fine for internal frames - so long as it is attached securely.

I got the large for my Kelty Coyote 4750 and it fits just fine. Being that the Coyote is sort of the in between size backpack, the large is a bit loose, however this leaves room in case you filled the bag quite full. I managed to get it to fit with no problems even with my hiking poles attached to the side of the pack. The included mesh sack is always nice to help the material dry and not sour in the pack. Overall a great complement to my backpack that should have been included to begin with.

Covers the Red Cloud 5600 full of gear without a problem. Material appears to be strong enough for more than a few years of use.
