Good Pack for Travel
March 04, 2010
This pack is a perfect size for carry-on airline travel. It allows you to remain hands free while maneuvering through airports. It is light weight and carrys enough clothing to last a week or so. It works great for our trips to the Caribbean. It can be easily stashed on a sail boat where space is limited.

Very Good Pack

Bought this pack to be used as a daypack. The quality appears to be very good and the design is right on for holding everything you will need for one day out-and-backs. Note: If you are a broad shouldered person (I'm 5'11'', 200lb, male), the straps may be a little close together at the neck. Also, there is no attachment to suspend a hydration bladder within the sleeve. Other than those two points, the pack is sturdy and well constructed.
Pros: Build quality, Great value, Cons: no bladder suspensionDid you recently buy the Kelty Redtail Daypack? Write a review.

After owning the pack for several weeks, I have taken it on several day trips and I have been impressed by its durability, zippered pockets, and easy to reach pockets for water bottles. It is a great pack for light hiking, fly fishing, and other short trips.

Makes heavy loads seem light

I bought this backpack with a dual purpose in mind: to carry all of my med school boks, and for day hikes. So far I've only used it for school, and I'm super impressed. It holds all of my books with room to spare, but more importanly the weight distribution is phenomenal. I don't feel like I have to slump over to surive the day. My only negative comment is that the side netted pockets are a little too wide and not deep enough to really secure the water bottles I like to put there. I've only noticed this though when I grabbed my pack from the overhead luggage compartment on the plane, and my water bottle fell out on my head. So as long as your not throwing your pack around, it should be fine. All in all I highly recommend this product.
