This is the first tent I had ever bought and I needed it for a month-long field course out West. It's small; it can easily fit in a 15"x24"x24" duffle bag with plenty of room to spare. I set it up for the first time when I reached my first campsite and it took me a few minutes. The setup is pretty intuitive, however, the rain fly does have velcro loops and stronger ones that the tent poles are supposed to slide through, which I could never do! My tent still survived without these being used, even in a 60mph+ sand storm! The tent is pretty spacious if one person were to use it. I had 2 duffle bags and a 20L backpack in my tent and I still had plenty of room to stretch. The tent comes a small gadget holder that you can tie to the inner roof of your tent and that was incredibly useful! It also has two pockets in the bottom corners of the tent on the left side if you are looking outside from the tent. That was also great! It'll be a little cozy for two people, so I'd really suggest using this if you're camping solo or don't want to share a tent. This bad boy is durable! It survived a few nasty sandstorms, thunderstorms, and windstorms with no problem! I would encourage people to ditch the stakes that come with the tent and invest in longer, stronger stakes. I used the original stakes to keep my rainfly open and those came out of the ground very easily! I love this tent and plan on using it until it breaks down! I couldn't imagine using any other tent, especially out West! It made a dent in my bank account, but I think it was absolutely worth it!

one of the best tents

I used it once last summer. This Kelty Salida 2 is Well made Very light weight and Set-up is almost instant. And most importantly great price. It packs small in my backpack. Happy camping :)

I have not yet had a chance to use the tent in the wild, but I did set it up in my patio. Very easy to put up and take down. It appears sturdy and well made.
