The day after I ordered a new cap for my husbands leaky Klean Kanteen he lost it. It's a great product though and will save it in case we ever need another one. It's nice to be able to buy a bottle and change out the cap.

Great option!
I recently switched both the regular loops caps on my Klean Kanteen Classic 27s to Stainless Loop Caps, and am very pleased. I mostly wanted the stainless caps so that I can use them as handles when using my bottle to boil water in a fire. I just loosely thread the cap on, remove my bottle from the fire, then take the cap off. I am not sure of the current state of affairs in regards to plastics or steel and their long term affects on your health, so that's not really a strong issue for me, however for those of you are interested the stainless caps prevent your liquids from contacting plastic. They may contact the sealant ring, which appears to be silicone (not positive), but its not a lot of exposure if any. A 27 oz. Klean Kanteen Classic with Stainless Loop cap weighs 1 oz. more than a Nalgene 32oz. Tritan. With the standard loop cap it weighs the same.

It's great! I absolutely love the kleen kanteen insulated bottle that I am using my replacement cap on. I have had no problems and am completely satisfied!

Kleen Kanteen Stainless Steel Bottle Cap
I'm very pleased with this Kleen Kanteen Stainless Steel cap. What's the point of having a Stainless Steel bottle with a plastic cap? BTW this cap also works on other stainless steel bottles. Shipping was very fast too, Thanks.

Sippy Cap Require a #5 Polypropylene Adaptor Cap
Just an FYI when you purchase the item labeled Sippy Cap all you get are the Avent sippy refill caps not the complete setup with adapter. So I had to make a separate order for a #5 Polypropylene Adapter Cap that the Avent Sippy cap fits in. Overall very impressed with quality of this item. Also Altrec is top notch fast shipping and great packaging.

Stainless Flat Cap
I ordered this replacement cap for my water bottle when I carry it in my backpack. It makes it much more packable. I prefer the stainless caps.

Stainless = kleaner cap than plastic cap
I bought a stainless cap b/c it's easier to keep clean than the black plastic ones. Considering how long the bottle sits in my car after long trips sometimes (and I know I'm not the only one guilty of this), easier to clean = better. There is a little gasket at the top that I remove with a butter knife when I wash it. As of this review I don't see "Stainless Loop Cap" as an option on the Altrec webpage, but they will probably restock soon. And the "Stainless Loop Caps" are pretty easy to find on lots of places on the web.

1-piece cap = great!
My Klean Kanteens originally came with a 2-piece plastic/stainless steel loop top caps. I do not like the 2-piece caps as they often retain whatever fluid I have in the bottle if the gets tipped or excessively jostled during transport. I replaced all my Klean Kanteen caps with the 1-piece loop top cap. Ahhhh... Problem solved! The 1-piece loop top cap is also lower profile than the original 2-piece loop top cap.

Love Klean Kanteen!
We are very happy with our 18oz Klean Kanteen, my five year old son takes it (and drops it) everywhere, and since he is rough on it, it is nice to be able to get replacement parts at Altrec. Excellent product, excellent Altrec!
