Description
Kokatat has designed the GORE-TEX® Meridian GMER drysuit as the ultimate protection for kayakers. The overskirt keeps the water out of your cockpit; it has a wide SmoothSkin™ neoprene band that grips your sprayskirt and adjusts with double-pull hook and loop closures. The Evolution® 3.21 oz. nylon 3-layer GORE-TEX® fabric throughout, including the built-in socks, ensures excellent breathability and durability. The suit has a relief zipper, self-draining neoprene punch-through neck and wrist over-cuffs, and a self-draining, zippered chest pocket. Reinforced self-draining Cordura® seat and knee patches. Metal-tooth waterproof Optiseal® zipper.

Amazing !

These suits are expensive but, I regularly paddle in cold water and didnt want to trust my life on anything else. A few words about fit: I workout and was not sure about Kokatats sizing chart. To help out others, here are my stats: Im a male, 6 tall, 185 lbs, have a 33 waist. I wear a size 46 jacket (which is snug). I ordered a large, but was skeptical about the fit - especially in the shoulders. I didnt want to go with an XL because of the extra torso/ arm and leg length, and also the wrist gaskets are larger on the XL. To my surprise, the large fit just fine with room to maneuver. In the water, I was as dry as toast - even hanging upside down. The gore-tex is great, and lets the suit breath so you dont overheat. In drysuits - Kokatat has a superior reputation, and another loyal customer.

Spent the afternoon, warm and toasty, paddling in 40 degree water. I wanted to see if the suit was indeed waterproof so I waded in and floated for a while bone dry. I also did several rolls and not a drop of water in the suit. Great product !
