Where traditional leather and new fabric technology come together in a lightweight hiking boot, the La Sportiva Men's Halite GTX Hiking Boot is geared for day hikes and short overnight adventures. Offering outstanding comfort in a nimble design, a GORE-TEX® lining keeps the foot light and dry. The classic Trango 2 board lasted fit is enhanced with a polypropylene cushioned insole.
- Upper: Leather/Spylon Mesh and UreTech abrasion-resistant reinforcements
- RFS 3D (Reactive Flex System ™) ankle provides optimal multi-directional upper hinge
- GORE-TEX® lining for optimum comfort and dryness
- Vibram hiking outsole with Impact Brake System™reg; for excellent traction and cushioning

A fair price for a good tree climbing boot. I use these in my business of arboriculture. I climb many different types of trees and these boots have a good grip on the tree bark. They are good for footlocking. Good ankle support when needed and not too much there to get bulky.

Followed the recent high rating in Backpacker magazine and thought I would try them out. Spent Memorial Day weekend hiking through Devils Postpile and Tuolomne Meadows in the Sierras. No problems or issues to report. Very good ankel support and very comfortable to wear all day long.
