Leatherman Squirt P4

This is by far the most useful thing I own. I keep it on me at all times (in the pocket watch pocket of all my pants) I used it for every day tasks, and is great for outdoor wirk too. The spring action is amazing, and the blade comes very sharp, and easily sharpened. Be carefull when cutting wire though, a friend of mine also has one, and dented the wire cutter on a piece of wire that was either too large, or too hard. other than that I can't think of anything bad about it.

An excellent all purpose mini-tool
This is the second leatherman tool in my collection. I began with the super-tool for all those tough jobs around the house, (was of course satisfied with its performance) and decided to also get a smaller leatherman tool for fishing trips. The Squirt p4 is the perfect size, (fits easily into the "fifth" pocket of jeans) and has an excellent combination of tools. I was particularly impressed with the performance of the pliers, file and wire cutters. You can comfortably squeeze hard with the pliers, the fine and coarse sided file is quick and efficient, and the wire cutter easily split a coat hanger. ( I haven't tried anything bigger) This is definitely a great buy for hiking/camping/fishing etc.

Big improvement over Micra
Not that there was much wrong with the Micra, but the Squirt P4 is vastly more useful to me. After having my Micra taken away at the airport (doh!) I needed a replacement and discovered Leatherman finally made a compact tool with pliers. The build quality of the Squirt seems more solid than the Micra, the handles snap into place, and you can comfortably put a lot of pressure on them. Griptastic!

Nice tool
This is my first multi-tool that actually fits in my pocket. I am not into wearing a utility belt. I am usually afraid that I will lose something like this, but this one is small enough I actually keep it on my keychain. The knife is a little dinky, but the pliers are really good for small things. I will definitely be throwing it in my stove bag on backpacking trips. Overall a good buy.

Wouldn't be without it.
I've owned a number of Micras and SOG pocket tools (they seem to disappear more easily than anything else I've ever owned), and I have to say this is the best one yet. It has a better finish and smoother opening mechanism than my Micras, and it closes more tightly. It weighs about a quarter of an ounce more, but considering it has pliers as opposed to scissors, I'll take the extra weight for the extra functionality. Best of all (at least for me), Leatherman thought to put the tools on the outside so you don't have to open it up everytime you need the knife or the screwdriver - it's one of the things that always annoyed me about the Micra and I have to give someone at Leatherman credit for breaking their old paradigm for the tool. Like all of these pocket tools, it shouldn't be confused with a heavy duty pouch tool like the "Wave," but when it comes to having a handy all-purpose tool in your pocket, it can't be beat. Wish it was about $5.00 cheaper, though, so I won't feel so bad when I (inevitably) lose it.
