Enhance your balance and save your knees with Leki's Tour Trekking Poles, one of the most affordable quality poles available today. These Tour Trekking Poles are made from rugged HTS 6.5 aluminum and have three telescoping sections that extend up to 145 centimeters. No matter which length you dial in, the Tour Trekking poles will help to distribute up to 25 percent of the effort to your upper body, so you experience improved stability and less stress to your knees and back. Most poles take beatings at the tip, but the these have Carbide Flextips that bend up to 30 degrees without applying any stress to the shafts. An interchangeable basket design allows for easy basket replacement to match weather conditions. A scratch resistant Ultra Sonic Finish helps keep the poles looking good after seasons of use. With a lifetime warranty against shaft breakage, Leki is the first pole manufacturer to be tested and approved by TUV, the prestigious Technical Inspection Service of Europe.
Highly recommend them
From using the Altrec website to receiving the poles to using them all has been a quality experience.
The only change I have made to my trekking poles is the addition of rubber tips to reduce the noise when I climb Stone Mountain in Atlanta.
Well designed and stable
I have yet to use these anywhere but flat-landing, but the poles feel great. They're light, easily adjustable and very ergonomic once adjusted. My only wish is that they had included a pair of rubber cups for street hiking.
Lightweight and sturdy
I have used these for snow shoeing and ultralight day hikes in the Adirondacks High Peaks. My friend had telescoping Komperdell Northern Lights (significantly more expensive). On a recent, particularly, icy climb, his bent and these stayed strong. Good value, light and sturdy... Only complaint is that it seemed like they were going to come with multiple basket attachments, but only came with one standard. Altrec was great, low price and great customer service that kept me constantly informed on order status. Will be buying my gear here from now on.
