Terrific poles
I purchased these mainly for the cork grips. My hands get sweaty while hiking and my previous poles have rubber grips - I was always having to wipe my hands off. Went hiking with these and, ta-da! No sweaty palms! The grips are smaller than those on my old poles so I don't know how they would be for someone with large hands but they are perfect for me. And, they are really lightweight. I was also pleased with the clip-on holder and tip protectors - makes it really easy to just clip them to the outside of my pack. Last but not least, Altrec's service was great, as always. They were shipped very quickly.

Great poles.
I just got back from hiking in Zion National Park. These poles worked great. On the down hills they relieve strain on your knees. The carbide tips hold on slick rocks surprisingly well. For snow shoeing the seperate snow baskets work well. These poles have lived up to my expectations so far. I would recommend them.
