Inspired by the needs of the British Army, the Lowa Elite Desert Boot for men features rugged stability and breathable construction for hot weather missions that demand full hiking boot support.
In addition to this combat boot's tall lace-up style, support and stability come from the cushioned polyurethane midsole and split leather uppers. The speedlace design features a padded collar and tongue to further bolster the boot's supportive and cushioned feel, while a Vibram MVS outsole provides excellent traction in a wide range of conditions. Breathability is critical to hot weather, blister-free comfort, and the boot's fabric uppers and quick-drying textile lining help to manage heat and moisture. A rubber toe cap adds protection and long-term durability.
Rugged enough for the desert battlespace and still quite comfortable without a long break-in time, the Lowa Men's Elite Desert Boots are ready to serve you for miles.
Well made good quality boot

I was a little skeptical about ordering these boots sight unseen. I have had problems with shoe size and fit. One of the reasons I went with these boots is I have a pair of Lowa Renegade boots that I have very happy with and I was pretty sure I would be close on the shoe size. I wear anything from an 8-9.5 depending on the brand, and I have kind of wide feet. The 8.5 regular worked out well. The boots are made of good materials, mostly leather with decent venting on the side. They have an aggressive tread. I wouldn't say they are the lightest books I have owned, but they are not that bad considering the build being mostly leather. I am still in the process of breaking them so they are a little stiff. I am going to give them a week or two of wearing and walking. So far the only thing I am not crazy about is the eyelet setup. They are a little close together as you get up to the top of the boot. So it makes the initial lacing a little tough.
Pros: quality materials/constructionbuilt extremly well! very comfortable.

The best quality boot I every owned. I have spent more money on other boots that are half the quality. These boot ROCK!! I would also say they look the best out of all the boots in their class. If your not wanting to spend the extra money? Do it! You won't be disappointed Just happy you did.

Wow , What a well built boot. I am very impressed with the quality. I bought these because I wanted a pair of boots that didn't have Gore-Tex for daily wear. They are well ventilated. They are pretty stiff out of the box but are softening up nicely. My only criticisim is the toe box runs a little small. I can't wait to try another pair of Lowa's. The only thing better would be if they where resolable.

Great boot

These boots are great, run true to size and feel very comfortable. This is my first pair of Lowas so I do not have much to compare them against. Used them for about a 5 mile hike right out of the box, performance was not bad, the uppers are still stiff but break in will come in time. Only drawback is the cost.

Well made boot however they are stiff. Break in period was about 2 weeks. Great for warm dry weather. The fit is true to size. Ideal for dry weather Chukar or Mule deer hunting.
