Warm and comfortable
September 09, 2012

I bought these boots mainly for glacier climbing. They are extremely warm, in fact I plan on making these my go to winter boots for snowshoeing and other things. It's probably all of the insulation, but these are very comfortable, padded in every direction, no blisters or foot iritations at all from day one. The sole is bit more flexable than most mountaineering boots, but that just makes the approach hikes in that much more comfortable. After you strapon your crampons they become as stiff as any other boot. I just really am loving these so far, and the red is awesome.

Pros: Build quality, Performance, comfort

Nice style.
February 18, 2011

This boot, like some other things I owned from Italy, is all about the style. Quality is also top notch, build last forever. However, it is certainly not the most comfortable boot I have owned. First, the very stiff sole design translated into serious traction on snow, which was also the main reason I bought them. However, after I wear these boots and took a hike for more than 5 miles, it become very uncomfortable for my feet. The whole thing is way too stiff. If you simply just want some hiking boots, you might want to look some other places. It also contains a lot of leather material which absorb water easily. Although the Gore-Tex material did its job to stop the water from getting into it, these boots were become very cold my feet after walking in snow for several hours. One last thing to remember: buy these boots at least one full size larger than you normally wear!! I bought them half a size larger than my regular hiking boots and they felt tight on my feet.

Pros: Great design, Build quality, Lasts forever, Cons: not very comfortable, leather retains water
