I have owned several pairs of Lowa boots and will never own anything but Lowa boots from now on. The quality is second to none and they provide the most foot and ankle support of any boots I have ever worn. I have been in the Army for 27 years and have worn many different brands but prefer Lowa to all others. They are a bit expensive but my feet, ankles, knees and back are worth it. These are the lightest yet most supportive boots I have owned. Don't let the price scare you, just by the Lowa Zephyr GTX Hi Task Force Boots and enjoy every step you take in them.

These are the best boots I have ever marched in. They needed no time to break in and are perfect for the mountains of Afghanistan. Will stand up to any terrain and weather.

this is my first pair of Lowa boots, but wont be the last. these are the most comfortable pair of boots i have ever purchased. it feels like i am wearing sturdy gym shoes all day. i cannot comment to much on durability yet, since i have just been wearing them around town and short day trails around 3-4 miles or so just to get the feel for them. i will be taking a 30 miles hike within the next week and I expect these boots to feel great on the trail. gore-text has been holding up very well in wet and dry conditions, unlike my Merrell Chameleon 3 in which the lining started to bunch up. sizing i found to be true to size. after reading other reviews that said Lowa ran small, I order a size up and the size was to big so returned for my normal shoes size and the fit is perfect. have to give a big thanks to Altrec on great customers service and exchanging my order with no problems.

I have a buddy who owns a pair of Lowa Zephyrs who convinced me to buy a pair but at first I was a little skeptical of the price. Once I tried them on I knew they were immediately worth the price. The ankle support and comfort is amazing. They do not take long to break in and once they are broken in you are good to go for years. The Lowa's are just as lightweight as Nike's or other lightweight boots but they have more field capability. The waterproof material is definitely a must have wet-weather situations. Long lasting and overall great boot, highly recommended!

Light weight but durable

This is no break-in comfort right out of the box. It is light but very durable. Tried on several desert expeditions and found no trouble yet. The quality of the craftmanship is superb and I know it will be my favorite summer / fall boot back in the country and even town.

I have been in Law Enforcement for over 25 years. These are the BEST boots I have ever worn. I had these Lowa boots on for 14 - 16 hours a day while providing security during the RNC in Tampa, FL. They are true to size and required no break in time. I am getting to purchase my second pair of Lowa boots as we speak. Also, excellent customer support!

Great Summer Boot

I have been several Military boots and this is the best combat oriented boot I have used. I love my Nike boots for their light weight, but they are not designed to kick in doors. I ordered the Zephyrs and much to my surprise they weigh nearly the same amount as the Nike boots, but they offer a greater amount of upper and lower stability. The goretex is superb, walking through water and mud is no issue and the outsides dry very quickly. They are expensive but it is worth it.

The Zephyr is a great boot. I wear both the hi and the mid GTX model. Very quick to break in and provides all day comfort. I feel sizing is pretty accurate, though I order a half size larger to accommodate thicker socks in winter. Very comfortable boot for all seasons.

These boots are amazing!! The feel like old friends right out of the box. They offer great support warmth and durability. The first pair of these boots I owned lasted a year of daily use in some of the nastiest terrrain you could imagine. I highly recommend them. The one thing that I recommend with these boots is order a half size larger. I wear a 10 1/2 and orderd an 11 and they fit perfectly with a nice boot sock.
