Not as comfortable as my old Lowas

When I first put on these boots, noted they weren't nearly as comfortable as my old Lowa boots that I bought 5 years ago, and adored. Little too tight at ball of foot, little too loose at heel, not much padding inside so requires heavy socks to avoid chafing/hot spots. Price was ok on sale, so I'll make do, but I'm disappointed that they don't feel as good as I'd hoped.
