Mammut Genesis 8.5 Climbing Rope:
With a diameter of just 8.5 mm, the MAMMUT Genesis 8.5 Climbing rope 60-meter "half" (or double) rope must always be used in pairs. The ropes are clipped into protection alternately, which greatly reduces rope drag over rock obstructions.

• Climbing with two ropes is safer when ice climbing (if one rope gets sliced, you're still OK)
• Two-rope configuration allows for longer rappels
• Due to the high proportion of sheath, this double rope is extremely robust and chafe resistant
• Treated to prevent water saturation
