Better than expected
I purchased these gloves to use during backcountry treks. The purpose was to have a medium weight glove to complement my mittens that where used for very cold days. To my surprise, The gloves are warm enough to use for all conditions. Lately, I only pack these gloves and use them exclusively. I am very happy with the quality. The only thing that I would recommend, would be to apply a coat of leather protectant such as nicwax if they will be used in wet conditions. The leather will absorb moisture and become soggy even though your hands stay dry inside. Some will say that a man made fabrics would alleviate this, but there is no substitute for leather for feel, durability and abrasion resistance.

Loving it
I bought this pair of gloves so it could fit under my jacket sleeves. Love the quality and durability of the leather. Keep hands warm but I ran into a bit trouble to put it back on when hands were a bit wet/damp after taking it off on the slope.
